  The directories "Users.Windows" and "Name.Computername" are examples of directories that are created after a corrupted profile.  When a new user (for example, "MyName") is created, then you will find a "Myname" folder in "Documents and Settings".  If the profile "Myname" is damaged, Windows will create a new profile "MyName.Computername" and start to using them, leaving the old profile.  You can get the date in your profile corrupted by using one of the following methods:

  Note that if you have both 'MyName' and 'MyName.Computername' writings, the "myname" is without doubt the deceased profile and "MyName.Computername" is probably the active profile... Make sure that you remove the right pair.

  I recommend that you download the Windows Installer Cleanup tool. Click here to download the utility. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer.   Once you use the Windows Cleanup tool, then download the latest version of iTunes 9.1 and then try and reinstall your iTunes.
