DV6 6c65se: hp pavilion dv6 6c65se RAM update more low-speed clock frequency
Hi I dedided to chenage my original RAM memory to a
Corsair CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9 NB Vengeance 8 GB (2x4gb) 1600 MHz CL9 DDR3 SO-DIMM two memory Module Kit Performance
When I changed to RAMto a new and restart a system, I was surprised the classification System went down from 7.6 to 7.4 could someone explain to me why this happened if the old RAM was unbraned in trouble from China? Why my new performance as Corsair is defined by the hardware to work on the low clock speed, also is there nothing in the BIOS to change the clock speed of RAm etc.
Could someone help me in this regard?
Thank you
Hello:
I can't tell you why the performance of WEI memory went down, but he certainly wouldn't.
The faster the memory will run in your computer laptop is 1333 MHz, because it is the fastest speed of the processor i7-2670QM FSB can run to, so installation PC3-12800 (1600) memory provides no advantage.
The original memory regardless who did, should have been 1333 MHz.
You need a PC with an Intel 7 series chipset and the 3rd generation of processor core to memory to operate at its rated 1600 MHz.

HP Pavilion dv5-1020ew RAM update, HARD drive maybe processor
Hello!
Recently, I came up with the idea to speed up the laptop, so we realize it!
Proposed changes:
3 GB of RAM, 800 MHz-> 8 GB RAM 800/1333 MHz
250GB HDD, 5200 RPM / s-> 128GB SSD
AMD Turion X 2 64->?In addition, I fell on the lack of data after the rise to power the laptop: the framework is installed on the frequency of 400 MHz, 800 MHz and is documentation.
What do you think? Don't you think it is worth? What are the parameters must have the new parts are compatible?
You are the very welcome.
When I find there is conflicting information on memory, I want to run the analysis of Crucial memory tool which should report how much memory you can install.
If I had to guess, I'd say 8 GB max seems more reasonable.
You will find 2 x 4 GB PC2 - 6400 modules of memory are very expensive.

You can buy a SATA III SSD, but it will only work on your laptop SATA II speed.

Satellite Pro L20 - RAM runs with low speed
Dear reader,
I've recently updated my Toshiba Satellite Pro L20 to 2 GB, DDR2 667 mhz (Corsair ValueSelect) RAM because the old 512 MB of ram would not cut it anymore with all these processes.
Now, when I check my speed of ram with CPU - Z it says 200 mhz, whereas it should be at 333 mhz. I checked the chipset (Radeon Xpress 200 m) to ensure compatibility and it is compatible with ram to 667 mhz.Additional features:
Toshiba Satellite Pro L20 - PSL2YE-005009DU
Windows XP Pro SP3
Intel Celeron M360 1.4 ghz
2 GB DDR2 667 Mhz
Radeon Xpress 200 m chipsetNow to clarify my question. I would run my ram at 333 mhz for many reasons, because if it is not I had been better to buy cheaper, slower RAM.
How can I use it, I can't access the bios to fix this, how can I access/derivation of the locked bios?If you need more info just tell me.
Kind regards
Patrick Bos.Hello
Perhaps CPU - Z isn't read correctly... Who knows?
Also maybe the RAM modules are perhaps not compatible to run at 667 MHz speed. I n t have experience with Corsair Value Select modules
Last but not least, you can do nothing. There is no option of BIOS or something, where you can change it. In addition this speed of RAM will not bring a solid performance gain.
By the way: did you check the speed of your old modules?

Pavilion dv6 Notebook: card WiFi and RAM update
My WiFi is not able to go as fast as the speed that I pay the cable company. I tell myself that if I pay for it I would be able to go that fast. How can I tell what will work in my notebook? Same question as the RAM. Currently I have 4 GB and would like to go as far as I can.
Please tell me what I need to know, in layman's terms, to buy what I need.
Thank you!
Hello
Your computer is a HP Pavilion dv6-6112nr laptop PC:
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02996687
1. WiFi: your machine was built around 2011 so the wifi upgrade is out of the question. You can use the USB dongle if you wish.
2 for the RAM: your device supports 16 GB max (it has 4 GB from the beginning). Please see page 66 of the following manual for part number. You can buy HP or elsewhere.

The manual also shows you how add/replace RAM. More manual:

Hey there!
I finally decided to add an another 4 GB of RAM on my laptop HP dv6-3030er, which has two units of Samsung m471b5673fh0-ch9 aboard. I checked the computer specifications and the RAM beforehand and ran the widely recommended Crucial test as well (the database does not include this particular model, but the results for the whole family 3030 are identical).
After some research, I bought two units of Kingston KVR13S9S8/4 RAM (here's the datasheet). The BIOS recognized them, and memory test results have been very good. However, I could not go beyond the Windows startup screen: it fades quickly and a new apears to screen, saying that Windows could not load and asking to "start Windows normally" or "launch startup repair." Both lead to the same results.
If I install a single stick of RAM at the same time, however, the results are even more exciting: the starting ends with a BSOD saying DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. In any case, the new sticks do not seem compatible with the laptop, even if the latency CASE clock speed and che are similar.
While surfing through this forum, I saw someone mentioning the big brother of this model: Kingston KVR1333D3S9 / 4 G (data sheet) and reports that it works fine. It has 16 FGBA components agaginst 8 and a power more low (1.41W against almost 2W) the operating power. Energy consumption would be capture? I heard, this problem can sometimes be solved in tinkering with values of power of the modules via the BIOS, which is impossible in this case.
Kind regards
Ivan.
Hi, perhaps you should consider the purchase of different memory modules Kingston. I have checked the specification of your laptop and the cpu must be an Intel Core i5 - 450 M processor. The modules you have are 1333 MHz those however, specifications for the processor to Intel say that 800 / 1066 MHz are supported by the processor. This means that the memory would downclock to 1333 MHz to 800 / 1066 MHz and it is unnecessary to use 1333 MHz modules as you can see they are not yet compatible. I think that the modules Kingston 1066 MHz will work. I've seen a similar problem with the same laptop PC series, but the user could not initialize with the memory at all. He was also an i5 processor and the service guide States that only i7-720qm and higher processors are compatible with 1333 MHz modules (plug for i7 processors Intel confirms that too).

The HP DV6 - 7331SA RAM can be upgraded beyond 8 GB? Thank you.
Hello
You should be able to install 16Gb (2 x 8 GB Modules) - as a double, see if the scanning on the following site system agrees.

HP dv6 6140tx: Ram compatibility
My laptop have received 2 slots and is expandable up to 16 GB. The laptop came with Ramaxel 4 GB ddr3 1333 mhz ram (rmt3020ec58e9f-1333) in 1 location. Now, I want to add a 4 GB stick in the second slot to improve it to 8 GB. The same ram brand is not available in my country so can I use this RAM: Transcend JM1333KSN '4G '. Its frequency and voltage is the same as ram Ramaxel. Are there any other specs I need to check?
http://www.flipkart.com/transcend-ddr3-4-gb-laptop-dram....
This ram works fine and the system can run on two channels or there will be no compatibility issues?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
Yes, it's as close as you can get. Same speed, density, time of latency. The computer should consider the type of memory and run in dual channel mode.

Re: 1 GB of RAM / update BIOS for Satellite 1110
Hello
I ordered 2 x 512 MB of RAM at CompuRAM. According to their information 1 GB is possible for this model. According to the user manual only 512 MB is possible. As normally CompuRAM information is right (maybe necessary BIOS update), I tried.
But it does not work. I can only use 1 x 512 MB.
Does anyone have information on RAM update for Toshiba Satellite 1110 (model PS111E-003DN-GR/S1110-Z16)?
Could help update the BIOS?
How to find the update of the BIOS in the Toshiba homepage (model 1110 does not exist)? For any help thanks!
Thomas

Pavilion 15-n096 store update for win8.1 not tested
Elsewhere on this site, it shows that HP have not tested Pavilion 15-n096 for update of the win8.1 store
I'm currently holding back due to the number of problems with other portable hp. However, there seem to be 8.1 drivers available for this machine, so I guess it will be OK.
I was wondering why HP have not tested yet and they're going to do?
Please provide the complete product number or the model number of your laptop.
To my knowledge, all of the following products are tested for Windows 8.1:

Satellite L655 (PSK1JE) - 100% after update BIOS fan speed
Hello
Yesterday, I do BIOS update since version 2.10 to 2.20. The update of configuration correctly but the problem is the fan, the speed is 100% all the time.
others have this problem with this version of bios?
Can I downgrade to the version of the bios?
Thank you and waiting for your answers
Hi kingofcopy,
Load default settings after updating the BIOS? Go into the BIOS, press the F9 key to load the default values.
Have you tested the behavior of fan with cooling optimized battery option? In Windows power management, you can define more low fan speed in power management to reduce the activity of the fan.
