  Yes, I have an AMD turion X 2 TL-60, nvidia and Atheros chipset wireless.

  I just finished the recovery DVDs and I downloaded all the drivers recommended by HP:

  -NVidia nforce 630 drivers,.

  -NVidia GeForce 7150,

  -HP wireless assistant

  -Lightscribe drivers,

  MS - UAA

  -Conexant Audio 221.

  -Quick Launch buttons

  -Ricoh card reader

  -flashBIOS

  -.NET framework

  -Synaptics Touchpad.

  I put them on a USB key.

  My computer HP laptop pavilion PC model dv6915nr has an internal (ATA) Pioneer DVD burner. I would like to replace it with a Blu Ray burner. What Blu Ray burner on the market will be the most suitable and a quick guide on the procedure will be a great help.

  I am pretty used with office equipment, but not with the same for laptops or notebooks.

• Pavilion DV6915NR - issue of Board/LCD system

  I begin troubleshooting on a Pavilion dv6915nr, when you press the power button power LED, battery LED, the fan turns to the top, and light on the switch panel. the HARD disk LED flashes, no post beeps and a black LCD screen. I replace the motherboard and still have the same question. I tried to do a reset of the power (hard reset). still no change in the system. I pulled two DIMMS and received "no beeps memory" at the station. I get no video on internal LCD or external monitor. I swapped the LCD inverter with a well known ups and still no change in the system. I have not a spare known good LCD display for Exchange and test functionality. I wonder if the LCD panel itself is dead or if the new systemboard is degraded or DOA.

  It was a design and engineering question which was never resolved by HP, this is what a person was doing to solve it, add a heatsink in copper between the chip and factory HP sinks, re - solder the chip if necessary.

• System refuses to boot from HP System Recovery DVD, or any other bootable DVD...

  Dv6915nr HP won't start upward from any bootable DVD, including all of the HP Recovery DVD system. It is not a problem boot from CD however. The trippy part, it does not start out of external optical drives with DVD either, only the CD. Please notify.

  My idea is to copy all the files from my HP System Recovery DVD on an external hard drive and start over. Or I should rethink that?

  Yes, I just read a thread where you posted a few comments on this machine. Regarding the problems of DVD player, this seems to be common on the same machines that end up needing a new GPU ball so I tend to think that it has something to do with the mother/controller card. Previous DV series with Nvidia problem generally lost WiFi, later models have problems with CD/DVD player.

  I didn't know mention you that your F11 to turn key to start hard drive partition recovery work?

  Just did the upgrade to W7 and it went well, but the only driver W7 posted for my dv6915nr is for WiFi.  My Ethernet hardware does not work - must clear an update of the driver.  What are the drivers for this machine which is only one year to come?  Everything else seems to work very well with the Vista drivers.

  Not found anything yet. I just bought a USB-Ethernet $ 5 as a patch adapter until Compaq or Nvidia comes out with a driver.

• Cannot access BIOS screens

  [Pavilion Dv6915nr, Vista 32] I can't no longer to the BIOS during the startup screens. It asks for a password, that he never had a. At one point, he shows a screen in French. I tried a BIOS update, but he refused to run.  Virus?

  Turns out it was just a BIOS battery dying.  Replaced and accessing BIOS very well.  No motherboard problem.

• Could not load the HP Support Assistant

  Dv6915nr Pavilion, Vista 32 tried loading HP Support Assistant, had "Error 1316. "A network error has occurred when trying read from the file C:\Windows\Installer\HP Library.msi to support Active" (after the restoration, the file does not exist)

  and: "error:-1603 Fatal error during installation." See using Windows Installer (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information. "(There is no copy of the msi.chm on the C:\ drive)

  This machine also refusing a BIOS update, emphasizing the Admin rights, even if I was logged in as administrator and run the program with "Run as Administrator".  I can't access the BIOS screens during startup. Is this machine a case hopeless?
