downgrade a HP Pavilion DV6915NR

Hello, want to install XP instead of Vista on my new machine (DV 6915NR). I found posts for DV6920, apply to my machine too?

Thanks for any help...

Thanks a lot for responding so quickly!

Yes, I have an AMD turion X 2 TL-60, nvidia and Atheros chipset wireless.

I just finished the recovery DVDs and I downloaded all the drivers recommended by HP:

-NVidia nforce 630 drivers,.

-NVidia GeForce 7150,

-HP wireless assistant

-Lightscribe drivers,

MS - UAA

-Conexant Audio 221.

-Quick Launch buttons

-Ricoh card reader

-flashBIOS

-.NET framework

-Synaptics Touchpad.

I put them on a USB key.

Thank you very much for the link of the Jonas, it seems quite enough!

I let you know the results...

  • Pavilion DV6915NR - issue of Board/LCD system

I begin troubleshooting on a Pavilion dv6915nr, when you press the power button power LED, battery LED, the fan turns to the top, and light on the switch panel. the HARD disk LED flashes, no post beeps and a black LCD screen. I replace the motherboard and still have the same question. I tried to do a reset of the power (hard reset). still no change in the system. I pulled two DIMMS and received "no beeps memory" at the station. I get no video on internal LCD or external monitor. I swapped the LCD inverter with a well known ups and still no change in the system. I have not a spare known good LCD display for Exchange and test functionality. I wonder if the LCD panel itself is dead or if the new systemboard is degraded or DOA.

It was a design and engineering question which was never resolved by HP, this is what a person was doing to solve it, add a heatsink in copper between the chip and factory HP sinks, re - solder the chip if necessary.

  • Downgrade from HP Pavilion G7 2304ed of windows 8 for windows7

    Hello

I've been looking to downgrade a 2304ed HP Pavilion G7 of windows 8 for windows 7.

Unfortunately there are no windows 7 drivers listed for this model on the site.

Are there drivers available that can be used for this model, so I can install windows 7 correctly?

I don't mind getting the drivers of different models or suppliers and put everything together. I want to just install windows 7 and get rid of that ugly windows 8!

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    John.

    Hi, John:

You can use all the W7 x 64 drivers and this model on your software.

For the graphics, you install only the AMD graphics driver that will install the drivers for the two GPUS.

DO NOT USE ALL DOWNLOADS OF BIOS OR FIRMWARE FROM THIS LINK

It's only for windows 8 and windows 8.1 I need to make windows 8 again to my laptop works well, 2 of my usb ports do not work. need help please )

It seems that if you do not have a recovery media. You can order the HP through this web document recovery media. If you have retrieve media, now would be a good time to use it to find your laptop in its delivered State. After recovery buy a good antivuirus such as ESET or Norton Internet protection solution in order to avoid the same problem of past that has brought here.

The reason that two of your ports are not is likely to be because the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed controller software must be reinstalled. There is no driver software available to do this for Windows 7 on HP support web portal.

  • HP Pavilion 15 lowered a score of 8.1 for Windows 64-bit for Windows 7 Pro 64 bit driver problem

I just downgraded a HP Pavilion 15 Notebook, which was just recently bought with Windows 8.1 64-bit installed.

The owners could not get with Windows 8, so they bought Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

After changing the option of Secure Boot UEFI BIOS, I installed windows 7 for them, installed the drivers from the site HP Web for this model of laptop, but there are a few drivers who will not not turn on.

    Product number is F8S59EA #ABU

    SYS ID card is 2163

    Intel processor Core I5-4200U @ 1.60 GHz

    8 GB memory

BIOS Version F42 has been upgraded to F62

But there is a PCI device in device without driver manager now, details of the error are:

    PCI DEVICE

    Hardware ID

    PCI\VEN_10EC & DEV_5227 & SUBSYS_2163103C & REV_01

There is also another error of unknown device listed, the details are:

    The unknown device properties

    Hardware ID

    ACPI\HPQ6007

I don't know if this is related to the first error message, but I thought I'd list them here anyway.

In addition, try to install the software Cyberlink listed on page of drivers for this laptop, Cyberlink Director Photo software, the software Cyberlink PowerDVD and PowerDirector Cyberlink software all refuse to install.

PowerDVD and PhotoDirector gave "Software can be installed in the machine allowed" error message and PowerDirector gave the error message "is not a valid HP drive, the installer stops now.

If someone could please help in telling me that drivers are missing, (I enter all the machine ID in the box HP drivers, pilots said it remained for this machine, installed correctly, just these some problems) I would be most gratefull and the owners of laptops would be too!

First, install the AMD chipset driver and restart. The first file listed.

    Hi, Adam:

    You need these drivers...

First install the amd chipset drivers and reboot.  You want the first file on the Web page.

This will install the smbus and usb 3 controllers.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows%207%20-%2064

Then, install the beta amd radeon catalyst graphics driver.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/KB-articles/pages/latest-catalyst-Windows-Beta.aspx

If the amd chipset driver does not install the usb controllers as advertised 3 that he would, and then download and install these two...
