Dv6T 1-7 720quad driver Turbo Boost

Hi I recently had to format my hard drive and reeistall homex64 of windows 7 on my laptop dv6t select Edition. I have the intel 720qm quad core i-7. I found the drivers on the hp site for my model and downloaded and installed the chipset driver and rebooted, and when I try to install the driver of turbo technology boost it starts and then says that your system does not meet the minimum requirements. I believe that my laptop is because its four hearts and what are the drivers for my model. Do I need to install the bios driver or all the others? Please help! thanxx

I have the same processor and the driver is not for us! The driver is for a CPU with an integrated GPU (Sandy Bridge, I guess). Core i7-720QM is not this kind of CPU. HP should rename the driver. It's very uncertain...

    Hello

Your CPU does not support! The driver turbo boost has been designed for the CPU with integrated graphics processor. I don't know why, we have the driver on the support Web site. I tried as well but found out that it is not for my CPU (Core i7-720QM)...

  • Cannot start the Turbo Boost technology driver

I use a notebook of 3085 dv7. When troubleshooting one alert on the Intel Turbo Boost Technology driver, he said he "cannot start (code 10)". I've updated the file of the driver from the HP website, but it looks the same driver and does not resolve the alert.

Hi, if the laptop is a Dv7-3085dx with a Core i7-720QM, it does not support the driver of turbo-boost. I don't know why they named driver turbo-boost and also why it is listed as a pilot for the Core i7 processors first generation. This is for processors with integrated graphics chips (Sandy Bridge?). • problem TURBO boost dv6 6121tx win 7 64 bit

I couldn't wait to see turbo boost in action (I dv6 6121tx 2630qm of intel with 2.9 ghz Turbo), but it will never be more than 2 GHz in my laptop. Yes I've read all about works of overeating, but even when its slowed down or heavily worked my laptop never seem to go above 2 GHz. monitor intel turbo boost show always no more than 2 GHz. I tried to install the driver turbo boost but it says that I do not meet the minimum requirements that intrigues me. also, I can't find anything related to overeating in my laptop anywhere (not even in Device Manager). so help me guys... thnx

Thanks for all the help Mumbodog.

I got it to work but its pretty lame, I did not understand why it worked. Here's what I did:

    1. go in hp coolsense

    2. Select mode optimized performance

    3. restart your laptop

    4 turbo boost works

Note: 1 turbo boost 2.0 requires no drivers (so all of you who are looking, stop it)

    2. If your fan in hp coolsense is a mode other than the performance op mode then turbo boost is not work(i.e,_in_coolest_mode_or_quietest_mode).i seriously don't get this logic?

    3. intel say that turbo boost cannot be turned off or on but change the settings of the fan could actually disable or enable it.

  • Driver Intel Turbo Boost Technology (taken from HP's Support site)

    Hello Forum members!

OK, so roll with me here! I have a HP G62-149WM I upgraded to it is (out of the box) Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit for Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit... Then I went into page HP driver download to install the Turbo Boost driver well, as you know, it basically requires you to type in your model, you choose what operating system runs your make and model, and then it shows all the different drivers, right? So my question now is because it does not show 8.1 Windows as an operating system option, the Turbo Boost driver always works on my 8.1 win even if it was made on a technical level to work on Win 7? Thank you in advance for your time and your help in this matter!

    Ron

    Hello @ronnieron ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

Unfortunately, this has not appeared to get coverage Windows 8.1 with respect to the drivers. You can try to install the Windows 7 driver, which might work, but it probably does not work well, or not at all.

Here's the driver page, in case it becomes necessary: Drivers of laptop HP G62-149WM

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!

  • HP g62-a60EM Intel Turbo Boost Technology driver problem

    Hello!

When I try to install HP drivers & driver Intel Turbo Boost Technology from the solution page I get this error: this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.

Can you help me with the solution how to fix this? Before I changed my operating system from Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) - English to Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) - Slovenian, I had no problem.

    Sorry for my bad English.

    Kind regards

    Dragan

    dmarinov,

Short answer is that you need not the driver.  The pilot is planned for notebook computers using the same processor but the only Integrated GPU.  Given that your PC has to a discrete GPU (ATI), the pilot of the CTA is unnecessary.

  • Satellite A660 - 11 M - limitation Intel Turbo Boost with i7-720qm

Hi all, I probably have or I guess to have a problem with Intel Turbo Boost technology (on the follow-up to ITBT) on my CPU (an Intel i7-720qm):
    # In my device manager does not appear a device called Intel Turbo Boost Technology driver, so I can't install the driver, but it's a minor problem because the technology seems to work in all cases.
    # If I run SuperPI (http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/366/Super_PI_Mod_v1.5.html-) (and only this application) and check the functionality of the ITBT with Intel Turbo Boost Technology Monitor (ITBTM) gadget (strOSs = http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/19105/eng/TurboBoostSetup.exe&agr=&ProductID=&DwnldId=19105& & OSFullName = & lang = fre------), then I an oscillation between the value of 2.40 GHz and 2.80 GHz (even if this frequency is rarely reached) and does not stay in the maximum frequency , i.e. to 2.80 GHz. So my question is: is this limitation? or rather is normal operation for a processor of this class (I've never had a Core i7 CPu before and I don't understand if the ITBT works normally)
    Thanks in advance! ;)

    Hello

The CPU can only operate at full speed if only one Core/Thread is up.

If you run a program that uses multiple cores/threads at the same time, the CPU runs at full speed, for thermal reasons.

Turbo mode is good for gaming because most of the games only use one core/thread.

  • Turbo Boost in Intel i7 2630QM does not.

I recently discovered that this processor is capable of overeating and supports this technology. So I wrote a check and found that, even if HP indicates the product supports the technology, my PC does not have such a thing.
The processor is Intel Core i7-2630QM it runs max at 2.0 GHz, but the specified maximum value is at least up to 2.6 GHz (2.9 GHz for example some ppl).

I installed the Intel Turbo Boost technology monitor and sometimes it shows stimulating turbo, but if I cut using a 3rd party software to prompt, they both show max 2.0 GHz.
