  I downloaded the Setup file of driver from the Toshiba web site and it's extraction ok but when I run the program it just then immediately quits without installing drivers.

  The Device Manager in windows seems not help either, because when I point to the extracted files it tells me that I already have the drivers, even if my current version of the driver is a lower number than the one downloaded.

  Restart made no difference.

  Any ideas/suggestions?

  Short answer is that you need not the driver.  The pilot is planned for notebook computers using the same processor but the only Integrated GPU.  Given that your PC has to a discrete GPU (ATI), the pilot of the CTA is unnecessary.

  You will not be able to activate this feature, since you are using a laptop computer with a BIOS that does not use this feature.

  The best you could do is try to find the settings in the BIOS or use high performance / setting for energy balance in Windows.

  The CPU can only operate at full speed if only one Core/Thread is up.

  If you run a program that uses multiple cores/threads at the same time, the CPU runs at full speed, for thermal reasons.

  Turbo mode is good for gaming because most of the games only use one core/thread.

  OK, so roll with me here! I have a HP G62-149WM I upgraded to it is (out of the box) Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit for Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit... Then I went into page HP driver download to install the Turbo Boost driver well, as you know, it basically requires you to type in your model, you choose what operating system runs your make and model, and then it shows all the different drivers, right? So my question now is because it does not show 8.1 Windows as an operating system option, the Turbo Boost driver always works on my 8.1 win even if it was made on a technical level to work on Win 7? Thank you in advance for your time and your help in this matter!

  Unfortunately, this has not appeared to get coverage Windows 8.1 with respect to the drivers. You can try to install the Windows 7 driver, which might work, but it probably does not work well, or not at all.

• Y580 Turbo Boost does not work except if hooked up

  While watching a youtube HD video, I noticed the processor did not work properly and that's why the video was stuttering. I checked and the intel turbo boost on a monitor version 2.6 and it showed that even on dynamic graphics Lenovo plan power than the processor was not using turbo boost. When running on the battery, the monitor displays also a leaf green and written below is "Energy Saver". If I plug the charger in the laptop, the problem goes away and I can see the Turbo works very well and with it the sheet and the "Energy Saver" will too.

  I've changed developed and even power settings made the processor state minimum 100% of battery, just as connected, so that it works just as well, but nothing helps. So I would like to know why the turbo boost function does not work then on the battery and only plugged him.

  Intel's mode require more power that the battery can supply so it works only when the AC is plugged.
