dv7-1270us HDMI does not work

I had my dv7-1270us for about four years and have never had any major complaints.

I've updated perfectly in Windows 7 and it has been fantastic since. It runs very smooth.

The other night, however, my HDMI port works correctly. It will transmit the image of my LG flat screen, but the HDMI audio option is no longer available in the topic My playback devices.

I use this function on a regular basis without any problems, except for the fact that you need to switch manually to the HDMI audio if you do not want to set as the default value.

Anyone has any advice on this problem? It's the same HDMI cable that I use for my Xbox and it still transmit sound and image correctly when it is connected to the Xbox. I'm suspecting that the port can have gone wrong, but I'm not sure.

Hi jminty91,

Take a look at this document, which contains troubleshooting steps that should help you determine what the problem is.  Please let me know if it helps.

Good luck!

  • Satego x 200 - 21u - remote and HDMI does not work on Windows 7

    Hey

I have a problem with win7 and the remote that was shipped with my laptop when I bought it.

I installed all the drivers for the toshiba for win7 home page. I also installed winvista, as the webcam driver - and the touchpad drivers.

The only two things, works does not are the distance and the HDMI output - sound.

my remote does not work with win7. If I connect my laptop to my dish tv via the HDMI cable I just see the image but no sound.
I also changed the settings in the soundoptions in win7 default to Digitalaudio (HDMI), but it does not in any case...

can someone tell me that I need to install these two or do I have to do the drivers, to make my remote and the HDMI output work?

    Thank you very much

    Hi mate,

It of really strange to say because this laptop is a little older and therefore there is no official support for Windows 7, I think...

Do you have yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager at the present time?
For HDMI, I think that chipset, display and its driver must be installed. Maybe you can get one on the Intel page directly.

Also, make sure that the latest version of the BIOS is installed on your laptop.

  • [X 1 carbon] HDMI does not work

I just bought all new X 1 carbon and tried to connect to my TV using the HDMI line.

However, the TV say "no signal". I tried to connect to my TV with other computer laptop (lenovo no) and apple TV (to check if there is a question online TV or HDMI), it works fine.

Could you please let me know how I can solve a problem.

    Thank you.

First of all have you tried to change the projection mode? You can switch the projection mode by using the windows key + P or by clicking on the 'Notification' - icon in your system tray. Set to "Duplicate" or "extended".

Start the application of "Lenovo Companion' on your ThinkPad X carbon 1 and make sure you have all the latest drivers and BIOS.

If this does not work, try using another HDMI cable, in rare cases, that this can work. Also, try if possible, another monitor.

If none of these suggestions work, think about contacting technical support.

    Hello

There seems to be a problem with the cable or port; It would be better to contact the computer manufacturer for assistance.

To check if the problem is with cord or not, you will need to connect the cord on another laptop and check.

And also try to update the video driver and check if it helps.

  • Venue 11 7140 pro micro HDMI does not work after upgrade windows 10

Has anyone tried connect a HDMI microphone on their place of dell 11 7140 pro after windows 10 upgrade? Mine does not work after the upgrade, but the HDMI from the dock works.

I have thus display driver problems on 10 to win.

For me, the micro HDMI port works fine. I use an active adapter, so that could make a difference.

The HDMI on the dock works well, but only if I directly connect to an HDMI display. If I try to use a passive DVI adapter, then the external screen is not recognized. In addition, the DisplayPort on the wharf is also unnecessary, regardless of the type of cable or attached monitor.

I encounter this problem after performing a new installation of Win 10, using the brand Dell drivers and latest drivers Intel installed by Windows update.

It is certainly a driver problem Win 10 because everything works fine if I boot the Tablet under Linux using a USB key.

  • Inspiron 17, 7000, HDMI does not work anymore.

Unfortunately, recently, when I tried to power the monitor on this subject is not recognized by windows, I checked the 'screen Resolution' but the monitor is not recognized. I tried to connect another device (XBoX) and the monitor of the work, so the problem is most likely due to the port of the laptop's HDMI output. Please let me know how to proceed.

The laptop is brand new and about 2 months ago. Where can I apply for coverage. But before I want to try and "flexible solutions".

    Thank you

I want to tell you that I solved the problem to install the drivers of Intel video card, I found them to

The drivers must be installed manually if the installation does not work.

I suggest Support of Dell to update the authorized drivers.

  • Pavilion dv7-4270us: dv7-4270us bluetooth does not work after driver update

I recently updated my drivers from the HP website.  Now, I know it was a mistake that bluetooth has not been installed correctly.    And there is no option "driver restore.  I tried several times sp50180, according to the HP website and also tried the old version listed (sp49153).   They old version did not install correctly and a new seemed especially, but none of my Bluetooth devices that used to work to do now.   I can 'connect to' some devices but they cannot transfer photos, connect to the audio, etc.  Some devices that are used to work can still be seen when I say "add a bluetooth device".  After installation, in the Device Manager, I find the following:

The radio Bluetooth: Bluetooth Broadcom 2070 and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator (both working properly)

Human Interface Device: Bluetooth Remote Control (works)

Modem: Modem Standard via a Bluetooth #2 link (works)

    Network cards (all working correctly):

    Device Bluetooth (personal area network)

(Heading RFCOMM Protocol TDI) Bluetooth device

(and my other network devices, all functioning properly also)

Other devices: this is the problem area.  After installation and reboot, I always find myself with 10 entries "Bluetooth Peripheral Device", all with a yellow exclaimation mark and all say real estate "Other devices", "unknown" (GSM) and the location is "on Microsft Bluetooth enumerator". "."

I tried right click and uninstall it, but when I reboot they come back to the top, search windows update, but can not find a driver and go straight to the "other devices".  I also tried to uninstall the "Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth 3.0" 'Programs and features' and right-click to delete each listed above bluetooth driver and then run the sp50180 again and it will install without error and find the same above drivers that work and leave the same 10 does not.  And my Bluetooth headphones (two different ones) is more work (or can be seen) and my Bluetooth phone can be 'connected' but any attempt to transfer fails.

I've exhausted all ideas on the web, I could find, and none have helped.  I tried to load a restore point, but after having so many pilot facilities, there is no point of restoration with the appropriate driver.  A full backup of the system on another drive, but much changed the applications and data files so I cannot restore it.  Unless someone knows how to use a full backup of the Windows 7 system to restore only the Bluetooth driver.

Another idea is that the driver update that messed up things maybe changed some other file or a registry setting that is not corrected by sp50180, but that seems unlikely.

Is it possible to manually install each of the 10 'other devices' drivers?  If I right click on a defective device and select "update driver software" no matter if I select the drive C:\ or F:\ (my driver and software download drive) or automatic search (including online) - it does not find the driver files.  I also tried to select properties and 'put to day driver' but the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found a solution. I received a call of support in Mumbai.  HP gave me a free call because they were not able to set a guarantee repair questions, so gave me the free support call.  I took an hour, but ended up the solution was very simple.

    There were these problems:

    1) 10 'other devices' in device with the exclamation points Manager can be uninstalled, but still were automatically reinstalled with the same exclamation point.  No pilot was available to the public for them.

    (2) my phone under Bluetooth devices could connect but would not photos transfer.

    (3) neither my helmet Bluetooth would not work.

The solution was simply to go to 'Show Bluetooth devices' and right-click on each and select 'Delete device' (even if dimmed they might still be revoked).  After all have been abducted there were no "other devices" in Device Manager.  I then added each Bluetooth device again.  This was very well all work.  I also noticed my phone was five drivers "Bluetooth Device" was so 5 of the 10 exclamation points himself.

For some reason, deletion of the driver in the Device Manager has not deleted the list "Bluetooth Device".  And by uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, it does not work.

If the answer is simple.  Before removing the drivers Bluetooth first remove all Bluetooth devices.

  • Output HDMI does not work on Satellite L775

    Hello.

I have a new Toshiba Satellite L775 with HDMI output.

I wanted to connect the laptop to my TV to watch pictures via HDMI.
    But it did not work.
I connected the laptop with HDMI cable for my Samsung - LCD - TV screen.
Time, wireless and TV are already functioning. (Normally I use the cable for TV receiver, with no problems).

I tried to change the output with Fn + F5 to TV-monitor (or TV-monitor & laptop).
But the TV does not detect not the laptop, in any case.

    What's wrong?

    Thanks for the solutions.

    Best regards
    WE34

I agree with Feliks if the TV supports different HDMI ports, you must make sure that the TV has been set to the correct HDMI port.
Choose in the settings of the TV the HDMI port and then you can use Fn + F5 to switch to the TV output.
