    Hello:

I'm a laptop dv7 product # C2H77UA #ABA with a WSSD of 32 GB which came with Win8. I've recently updated to Win10 and boot times now seem much longer. The entrance to Bishop of device for the WSSD LITEONIT LMT-32L3M-HP says it's working properly, but the events tab tells me ' device migrated not.» The Control Panel does not have a quick entry of Intel technology. I guess that means that the WSSD does not work under Win10. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The WSSD 32 GB training function is to use memory cache of your laptop speed up the access to the memory of the operating system.

Unfortunately, HP doesn't have a driver TSRI software updated for your portable computer from Windows 8.

A Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) RAID Driver for Windows 10 is available at Intel in the web document of Intel to the address following.  Donload and install it.

    Hello

Go in the NVIDIA Control Panel, and then select manage 3D settings.  Now, click the global settings tab, and then select it Auto drop down. Now select processor High Performance NVIDIA.

The drawback with the above is that you will consume more energy and your system can run on battery as long. An Alternative is to select the program tab and then just add the program you want to run on the processor performance, NVIDIA.

  • Pavilion dv7-1130us: are all 486542-001 compatible or interchangeable?

I need to replace my failing mother of my dv7-1130us.

My SPS is 486542-001, but also many in these series of laptops. All of them are compatible?

How important are all the other numbers listed on the label on the other? They relate only to the revisions or they indicate compatibility? I found much used 486542-001 motherboards online, but I'm not sure they really compatible.

    My motherboard:

    486542 001

The other numbers on the right label:

    2119725301909

    10N2

    2BMFG: 840

    JBK00 A002

    46153532L 02

    CT: PAGLBN2WVWMPPT

Yes, the HP 486542-001 part number is the motherboard of your laptop. If you buy another motherboard with this part number, it will be compatible with your system.

    Two notes:

Be careful when buying a motherboard from places like Ebay because they usually are used and need to be repaired without doubt for a reason and others (usually because of problems caused by overheating). There is not much of a guarantee that these tips would not also relatively quickly.

In addition, replace the motherboard on a laptop is probably the most difficult part of your laptop to replace as it will require complete disassembly of the laptop. If you have never tried something like this before, it would be well worth watching a few videos on youtube showing this process before you decide you want to approach this work.

    Hello

DV7-7000 Intel based models of the series is no longer the white list. I think that AMD laptops don't have it too because some people have tried Intel 7260AC on AMD machines and it sort of work. It caused problems, but the system did not reject the incompatible card. I would use any card decent AC, but not Intel.

  • Vista pavilion rp408ua #aba CPU bios issue

So I'm looking to upgrade my processor to a vs amd turion 1.6 my laptop 2 GHz shipped with. Someone told to update my bios before trying it in the ide melanote do not forget that it can handle the processor. A problem is that I can't find my laptop on hp site anywhere. Y at - there someone who can help me with this. In the second place. I hear that I can't upgrade to windows 7 on this note. Is this true? I'm trying to run my audio workstation digital on this until I can afford to complete the construction of my office. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you very much... Another question (as I probably will upgrade the bios and processor even without win7) this information tells me that this model came with the t60 amd or Intel t7200... I'm running with tuition amd clocked at 1.6 GHz for now so I guess I'll be upgrading to the t60 ok, but I really want to go with the Intel... They are types of different slot? (am I basically suck with the amd, nothing against it, I just need a little extra power I can get)... Yet once again, thank you so much 4 the previous answer... Helped a ton

No problem, you are always welcome!

Well, Intel and AMD are completely different architectures. Intel processors are more powerful and I prefer rather than AMD ones.
I just checked the service guide and you could replace the AMD motherboard with an Intel processor, one more actually buy this T7200 ($55 pn # 435849-001). There are 6 Intel motherboards so you will need to know if the laptop is full or defeatured. Disassemble the chassis and take a look at the part number on the motherboard (which must match the number of the part in the manual). It will also need some fan/heat sink and a power connector cable. Memory, disk hard and other components will work with the Intel motherboard, but the operating system on the hard drive is best to reinstall.

  • ENVY of HP dv7 Notebook PC: Windows 10 compatibility issues

I want to be the new operating system Windows 10. Apparently, this is going to be a compatibility issue with my laptop. I have the AMD Radeon HD 7640 G graphic card. It seems that Windows 10 do not like it. How can I fix this problem before the release date in July? Thank you.

This is a preliminary read Microsoft and won't say there are problems that can be supported with the official version.  Just be sure that you have the most recent driver for now.

Win 10 drivers will be released by the factory eventually so keep not prevent you to Win 10.

DXdiags also said INTEL HD not ati amd...

What solution have with this and how im taking all the power of the laptop because is very slow with intel

    Concerning

    Arkadios

    Hi @arkas

Welcome to the HP Forums! I see you're a few graphic problems. Did you install the ATI driver on the AMD website? If so, that's the problem. You have switchable graphics, which means that you have two video cards. The Intel card is designed for your treatment of basic graphics every day while the ATI card is designed to handle most of the work. Switchable graphics drivers are configured by the manufacturer of the laptop not the manufacturer of the graphics card.

I suggest that you install your AMD HD graphics driver and your high-definition Intel Graphics Driver. If you need more information on the switchable graphics this document HP Switchable Graphics on laptops equipped with Intel and ATI GPU.

  • Pavilion DV7 Prod # B5R46UA #ABA: remove windows 7 after upgrading to windows 10

    Hello

I've updated my machine to Windows 10 months ago and want to remove all the old Windows 7-64 related things that are no longer useful or necessary for Windows 10.  Is this possible?  If so, what is the process to do this?

Also the partition HP tools will work with Windows 10 and given that this machine works now the new OS now delete all the old software remaining in the recovery partition that includes more than 20 GB of space?

Since I did not intend to return to Windows 7 a recovery option will be available strictly for the recovery of this machine in the future for Windows 10 or this machine is recovered to its original configuration?

In addition, I would like to replace the original hard drive 650 GB by SSD drive or a hybrid of approximately the same size.  What you do is recommended and is this something I can buy directly from HP to make sure that it is not compatible with this computer?

Thank you & looking forward to your response.

In my personal opinion, passage to an SSD is a great upgrade and I did with my portable HP. I wanted to just Support HP could do for you if communicating with them was a relay option.

I can't you what specific SSD willl or won't work, but most of the readers to connect and transfer data as a mechanical HARD drive so shouldn't cause many problems using a disc retail Ex: Samsung 850 Pro.

  • Update the Bios to F1 problem. C the HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook (QJ785AV #ABA) running Win7 (64)

To try to resolve some problems, that I pointed out, HP (by e-mail) Technical Support told me to update my bios and provided a link to do this. Utility Wizard help indicated 1F. B has been installed; the description accompanying the linked file is 1F.C.

I downloaded the file, closed other programs, then run the file using administrator mode. After a few moments, the PC restarted. When I checked then the theaters help, there still reported that 1F. B has been installed. I ran the executable file again and seen on screen for messages. There is no error message. The system restarted, however the Assistant to help still reports it as 1F.B.

I don't know if it's important but: Although this update of the Bios on the support page of the HP web site for my computer model, it does not appear as an action item when executing Tune Up from HP.

Should what steps I take in order to successfully install the newer version of the Bios?

[Since this is an obvious question, let me say: I have reported what happened to the HP support (by e-mail).] In their next response, there was no follow-up on this point. In my next response, I asked specifically this update failure, but their response has completely ignored the problem.]

This is the link of BIOS that you use correct: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-115758-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=5171043&sw_lang=

If so, try the device, then execution of the BIOS updated new cyclical food.  Cycle of power, just remove the battery and the AC adapter / CC and let rest for a minute, then reinsert the battery and the AC adapter / CC and turn on.

  • Problems of graphics Clubhouse HP dv7 - 4087cl

To begin with, Yes, I'm aware of my computer is old, but still, I would like to know if this problem can be solved.

Whenever I'm playing a 3d game, I am subject to massive amounts of artifacts of the screen. Objects occur when I play 3D games, when I ', regularly using the computer. I tried to reinstall the CCC several times, but these problems continue. I updated the graphics drivers, BIOS and made all necessary windows updates, but it still does not work.

My OS is windows 7 and my computer has an ATI Mobility radeon HD 5470 integrated graphics card and an intel one for low-powered processor use. I'm pretty sure it's a graphics card problem, because all the games work without artifacts when I pass on the GPU powered bass, though much slower. Anyone know of any fix to this problem?

I feel like a fool cmplete to not think about it earlier, but I managed to solve the problem with my graphic card restore to factory default settings.

For anyone else having this problem, right click on the desktop, click on "Graphics properties" and when the CCC window opens, go on prefferences in the corner at the top right, and click on restore factory defaults.

  • G6R35UAR #ABA: can I upgrade the card wireless 802.11ac

Please let know us if it is possible to upgrade the card wireless in my laptop to a 802.11ac card.  A currently installed 802.11b/g/n card.

My PC is a HP Pavilion 17 laptop.

    G6R35UAR #ABA product name

    Thank you.

There is no white list. Here is the Service Manual:

    See p. 96

    Manual

You have the 17 inch model and for the 15-inch model AMD HP actually an AC card. This one:

2x2HMC AC + BT4 Broadcom BCM 4352 WLAN 802.11 for HP Pavilion 15 AMD computer models available for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 724935-005

It is an equivalent spare card sold on amazon.com:

    http://www.Amazon.com/Azurewave-Broadcom-BCM94352HMB-802-11-867Mbps/DP/B00IFYEYXC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&QID=1453758370&SR=8-4&keywords=Broadcom+802.11AC

The card would work for you, but I have to warn you that the installation is no easy thing. It requires extensive disassembly and will jeopardize the warranty. You should not try to install an Intel card as they are called does not play nice with AMD computers. The Broadcom will be your best bet.
