  • Need of repair for Satellite A40-702

I need computer repair laptop toshica
I got a Toshiba support page which had a similar model listed, but then, there was still no link to get hold of a service manual.

In any case, here are the details:

    Toshiba Satellite A40 - 702 psa40e

I can tell you that it is about 4 years old and has been distributed to the United Kingdom.

What I need is a link to the file pdf or something so that I can demonstrate and back up this thing without messing around there room for cleaning purposes.

    Thanks in advance.

If someone reads this and can't find it, so a link to a true Toshiba technical support webform homepage or email address would also be welcome.

    Hi John

Unfortunately, it seems that these documents and service manuals are not available on the Toshiba page for public use.
I think that these manuals are packed and designed only to a Toshiba authorized Service provider and not for a portable common user.

But look, man. I've googled a little bit has found a useful page about the A40/A45.
    http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/ToshibaA45/satellite-A45-remove-hinges-1.htm

You can find some nice photos how to disassemble a laptop A45.
The A45 is a series very similar to the A40 and American.

But you should always be careful and don t disassemble the laptop if you don t have enough experience. In such cases, it s always best to contact a technician for laptop for such employment.

    Welcome them

  • Need to repair/restore xp on my vaio, but no disc

Maybe I need to repair or reinstall xp on my PCV-RX650 desktop (it keeps restarting on my without warning), but I never got an xp disc or recovery disks when I bought it.  (I didn't about this at the time, but... why?)  What should do?

Yes, it's an old machine!  But I've been very happy with it and would rather not turn it off to pasture immediately.

    Thank you.

Wait a second.  What of the winnt32.exe file in i386?  I can't reload xp from there?

  • Envy DV7 HP: HP DV7 Envy your PC need to be repaired a required device is not connected

I have 10 Windows on my HP DV7 envy.  When I turn it on I get the error "Your PC need to be repaired a necessary device is not connected."

None of the keys work, which means I can't select startup options or select System Restore.  It just brings back me to the blue screen with the error message. So I can not try all options, I found on the internet that are made not boot master book or disable secure boot record.

I ran the tests of memory and fast disk, as someone else suggested that memory may be bad.

(HP please don't answer back Windows 10 is not supported.)  Microsoft has given to all customers of Windows 8. Besides it is not at all compared to the question, since the system cannot not even load the operating system.)

I fixed that basically like this:

    1. safe mode in the bios
    2. change the boot order to put USB in the front
    3. Install Ubuntu from USB, so erase Windows

I got stuck because I had copied the Ubuntu ISO was not a complete file.

No doubt I could able recover if I asked HP ship me a replacement disc for Windows 8.1

Also, I learned that you press f8, f9, f10 or f11 when you turn on the computer.  You must wait until the screen goes to sleep again and repower the computer to switch to another option.  Now key people will work until you do this.

  • Satellite M55 - I need the repair manual

    Hello

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping to get some info.

I am need of a repair manual for my laptop M55. Can someone tell me where to go for this manual?

    Thanks fopr any help.

    Bill Olivier

Unfortunately, repair manuals is not a public document and is not free to download.
In General, change the HARD drive is not complicated and on most phones models can be made easily.

I have European Satellite M50 and the HARD drive is under the cover of the HARD drive. You can find it on the lower side of your laptop.
It is the largest. Remove this cover and you will see how the HARD drive is fixed.

    Thank you

    Irwan

Don t think that everyone here will be able to help you and to get links to repair manuals.
Always is it that these books are not for public use; just for the Toshiba authorized service providers.

So if you need assistance, you must contact the ASP in your country.

  • Broken index in video avi files need permanent repairs.

I recovered deleted using recovery software video avi files. The problem is that the index needs to be repaired. The VLC media player is a feature to fix the index by which I can play the videos on the pc. However, the problem is that you cannot save those changes and whenever I want to read the file I have to re-run the index correction program. Also, given that the index is still broken I can't read the files on my video camera. Is there a procedure or a program that can actually repair the index of avi files and allow me to save the patches?

No guarantee,., but the following article may be worth it:

    Hi storm36,

You must have the Windows XP disk to repair Windows. As the CD/DVD drive is not getting detected, we recommend you try the following steps and check the result.

Step 1: Check if the device is detected in the BIOS (basic input/output device)
    a. start your computer and press on delete key continuously to see the BIOS.
    b. check if the CD/DVD device is detected.
    c. If this isn't the case, then unplug the unit and he reconnected inside the CPU/Tower.
    d. check the result.

Step 2: If the device is detected in the BIOS, try the following steps:
    a. start your computer and boot to the desktop.
    b. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc, and then click ok.
    c. select my computer, click the Action menu and click scan for hardware changes.
    d. check if the CD/DVD device is listed in the list.

Step 3: If the problem persists, restore the computer
see How to restore Windows XP to a previous state .
    b. Once you have restored the computer, check if the CD/DVD drive is visible.

  • Card NVIDIA of Pavilion Dv7 no longer works after warranty repair

In February, I sent my Pavilion Dv7 (product # A5F93AV, running Windows 7 with NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M graphics and more onboard Intel(r) HD Graphics 4000) for warranty repairs because he had lost the capacity of the batteries.  While there, according to the Scriptures, HP replaced the motherboard, the antenna wireless (twice) and the bottom of the case.  I received it by FedEx last Thursday, and superficially, everything works well.

However, over the weekend, I loaded one of my most games intensive graphics (Guild Wars 2) and immediately noticed that the video performance was degraded. FPS fell less than 10, when before repair, the game went very well.  After some digging and run Open Hardware Monitor, looks like maybe running has not been reinstated to the GPU when the motherboard has been replaced and the game (and everything else) are using integrated computer graphics.  The monitor indicates that GPU temperature is constantly 0 degrees, with 0,0%, memory controller GPU load 0,0-0,0% video engine GPU GPU.  The GPU memory runs at a constant 2.8%

Because it's my first machine, I really prefer is not to return to Texas for another 2-3 weeks.  Is that what I would be able to visually check myself and potentially connect myself without welding? If so, where I would look internally to do? or what should I take to my local repair shop to repair?

  • Need of repair for CD-rom update on Satellite Pro L20

    Hello
Is there anywhere I can download a repair manual for Satellite Pro L20 that I just bought a dvdrw drive & want to adapt it myself

    TIA

    Hello

Unfortunately, you won't find manuals repair on the Toshiba site. Only Toshiba service partners have such documents and the ability to use laptop manuals.
As far as I know, the reader is fixed with a screw that is placed at the bottom of the unit and under the keyboard.
After the withdrawal of these two screws, you can disconnect an optical drive to the connector on the system board.

But without any experience, you must remove all readers. I think you should ask the service of Toshiba for help because he has more experience in such cases
