DVD burning issues
Then I finished editing and adding a soundtrack of my video went to published-Share, selected disk to burn DVDs, but my computer crashes and my computer States 11 items does not work.
I have windows 7.
maddieaunu
Could you please specify where exactly the lock upward occurs because both John T. Smith and hunting are encourage you to try the burn on the record. From what you wrote I don't know if you can get so far to the burn folder.
Examine the path...
- Publish + share
- Disc
- DVD
- and, then, in the dialog box burn, burn to: disc
'Disc' is the breakpoint? Associated with burn on the 'disc' immediately after the publication + share or 'disk '?
Thank you.

DVD burning issues using windows vista
OK so im, backup data out of my laptop. I have about 2 GB ready to be burned onto a dvd and I got a file over to burn was that of 600 MB should adjustment no problem at all but for some reason, vista tells me my dvd is full makes no sence so I burned dvd and went to my next dvd using the 600 MB file and it let me fill the full capacity of 4.7 GB dvd does vista sometimes to put a ghost or sometihng file that won't allow me to fill the disc ive met this problem once before and this is no his almost random logic
Hi cocknballs4u,
Try to copy the files in one shot and check if you still get the error message.
Given that the issue occurs at random times, I suggest that you can delete the temporary files that are created by the burning.Navigate to the following location and delete them all the files in the temporary folder burn.
Burn \appdata\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\Temporary file C:\Users\Then delete temporary files on the computer.

Satellite A200 PSAF6A - DVD burning issue, pixel dead, overheating
Hello
I bought a Toshiba A200 (model PSAF6A) of back in January, and it is riddled with problems since then:
-Can't burn DVD (not @ around 50%, any software is used)
-Several dead on the screen pixels
-Overheating when playing games (I bought an external cooling block)
-Now, all fans are dead inside the laptop! Overheating in the first 10 minutes of starting the laptop computer! Now, for me, it seems that the motherboard may have started to die.
What I'd like to know is if it will be replaced with so many problems if I take service? (I reserved a pick-up for today)
Or they'll just to try to solve every problem?-Can't burn DVD (not @ around 50%, any software is used)
... could be a defective DVD player. or could be bad upperfilters/lowerfilters. http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?ID=314060-Several dead on the screen pixels
... LCD display needs to be replaced if it meets Toshiba pixel policy.-Overheating when playing games (I bought an external cooling block)
... Too much dust in the heat sink, must be blown to the compressed air, or dismantled so its really clogged. Dust accumulation is common in carpeted rooms.-Now, all fans are dead inside the laptop! Overheating in the first 10 minutes of starting the laptop computer!

Satellite P100 - DVD burner and reader of SD card not recognized by Vista
Hello everyone,
I have improved my P100 of Xp to Vista and I can't make my DVD burner and my reder of SD (embeded to the laptop of course!) work.
I can read CDs or DVDs, but I can't burn a DVD.
My SD card reader in my device list but not appear in my browser!Even more, a 'mass storage' appears as not porperly installed but I have no reference on which device refer to the. Not to mention, I tried several times to install the utilities on the site Web of Toshiba sd but it didn't change anything...
What laptop Satellite P100-xxx you have exactly?
The number of extensions and model number would be very useful for further studyAnyway. to get the card SD works in most cases you need to install the Flash Media driver
In addition, it would be very interesting to know what SD card do you use.With regard to the Vista DVD burning issue;
How have you tried to burn the DVD? Did you use special software to burn like Nero for example?
Have you used different DVDs from different manufacturers of DVD?From my experience, it would be possible that the player manages all DVD. You try different DVD from different manufacturers. I had a good experience with TDKs

Satellite A200-244-DVD/CD burning issues
Hi all
I got my Satellite A200-244 since February 2008 and I am very happy with it, except for the cd/dvd burner that is completely useless.
I have yet to burn a cd (data or audio) without errors occurring.
In fact these days, I can't burn a cd of all - iTunes doesn't, Winamp does not love, even Windows Media Player he hates now (it was OK with her).Is it a problem that others had as well?
I don't know what to do and I really need to be able to burn CDs!I would be grateful for any help/pointers.
Thank you very much.
Hello
So couldn't read your CD using iTunes and Winamp, but Windows Media Player bed songs is normal?
One question; have you used the CD compatible and supported?
Maybe you don t know a fact. All CD or DVD is supported.
Some media work properly and some dishes t.Generally, your user manual should contain a list of CD/DVD supported and tested.
So I would recommend testing different media for different manufacturers
Good bye

Portege R700 - slow DVD burning
all of a sudden for some reason any CD/DVD burn on my new Portege R700 has almost ground to stop. It worked fine initially, but now won't have high peaks of 1 MB/sec... it is a REAL pain...
The problem occurs with both the DVD player built-in and a USB connected drive that has worked well for years, so there must be a problem with o/s or H/S any. am about to update the BIOS but with no real hope
I did some research on Google and things seem to point to the IDE controller issues. I took some advice and remove / reinstall the controller, but to no avail...
someone else has the same problem - or, more importantly, a solution please?
in some desparation

How to create a DVD with DVD Studio Pro and an external DVD burner?
Hello
I am trying to create a DVD with DVD Studio Pro. My internal DVD drive no longer works. I have an external DVD burner - slim portable DVD writer. I create the project into DVD Studio Pro, and when in the program, it works fine when I "stimulate". Well, I can't burn it. When I look for the external DVD writer in my finder, it is not and I don't know how or where to select the option so it is programmed to burn the external DVD writer. Any advice? Thank you have a great week.
I found a thread that has addressed this issue, but does not help me to solve my problem. Meg the dog was told this to her in question written by Scott Stark. I tried his solution of generation and format, but after pressing the burn a window appears saying "insert disc please insert acceptable DVD recordable media." I tried to use another blank DVD, it did not help. I use Word for Word, I heard that those who are the best blank DVDs, you can buy. Thanks again for your time!

Satellite A20-130: SD-R2412 cannot read that DVD burned in some optical drives
Hello
I have a laptop Satellite A20-130, running Windows XP and Ununtu Dapper in a double score. My 2nd laptop is not a Toshiba. When I burned the DVD (DVD + R) with my laptop Toshiba no and played against them in my Satellite everything has worked well.
However, when I bought a new optical drive for my 2nd my Toshiba laptop suddenly stopped playing DVDs burned in this new optical disc (I was using exactly the same brand of disc and the same format - DVD + R). I tried the old DVD (those burned in the laptop before that material from the optical drive has been upgraded) and they can still read perfectly well.
This problem applies to both Ubuntu and Windows XP. Computer support portable 2nd said that sounds like a problem of firmware with my Toshiba. I updated the driver for my optical drive Toshiba R2412 SD (which according to the manual of the leader, seems to fix a DVD-Ram compatibility issue). Now the reader occasionally reads some of the new DVDs burnt (after doing lots of noise and waiting for ages), but more often that not, I get an error message saying that the device cannot be read, because the format is wrong or the device needs to be formatted.
This computer non-Toshiba laptop read DVD, it burns using the optical drive improved perfectly.
Hello
Satellite A20 is old enough laptop model, and after intensive use, it may be that the disc is more sensitive. If all this happens occasionally there no explanation just why this happens.
I know it's pretty boring, but I don't see any magic solution. In the end, you should test with new disc.

Hello
I have a unique problem where my cd/dvd burner burn my data to a recordable cd (not verified with recordable dvd yet) correctly, but after the burning process I get an error message "(devMediumNotPresent_TrayClosed) closing session error (Session: 4 medium not present-tray closed. - 0X023A01'.)"
I tried roxio and nero, cdburnerxp, but I get this error on the whole. However, the burn is successful. I can open the data burned in my laptop or other computers and use the same drive to burn more data in the other computer. I tired to reduce speed, but it is of no use. I have also reinstalled the drivers but no use at the end I also did a clean uninstall of Roxio-> then installed Nero-> Nero clean uninstall-> then install Cdburnerxp 4.3.2.2140.
Use the same media brand in my desktop LG cd/dvd combo drive, and things are absolutely perfect.

Hello
I got my ODD back to normal. The simple solution was to clean the lens of the drive. I called a Dell technician. He inspected the car and found that the problem was due to an unclean lens. In fact, I have never cleaned the lens since I bought the laptop in February 2008. I used a lens cleaner with 6 brushes Writex.
I also checked the drive by
1. create a Live CD: Ubuntu
2. a burned DVD
3 burn a different brand CDAbove all 3 tasks are normally carried out with any error. The player read / written correctly.
Good bye.

Not found DVD Maker "DVD burner" message when DVD writer works well with other programs
Hello
I just created a DVD with AVS Video Converter and burned a DVD with no problems and created later a film with Windown Movie Maker, which worked well, it has exported to Windows DVD Maker, again not a problem, but when I click on burn, I get a not found message "DVD burner". How can I fix, I know the burner works very well because it works with other programs... And Windows DVD Maker was working fine until recently and outside a updated Windows Vista, I did not further updated or changes to the computer.
Thanks for your help!
Hi Froggie_UK,
Since this problem you encounter began after that windows update, you can use the System Restore tool to return your computer to an earlier point in time. The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
Before you start Please back up your data
To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
· Click Start, type System Restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
· In the System Restore dialog box, click choose a different restore point, and then click on Next.
· In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
· Click Finish.
· The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.
If it is an update, the best way to solve this problem is to apply only updates one at a time to determine which updates is causing this problem.
Click on start-> all programs-> Windows Update, click on change settings in the left menu. Select download updates but let me choose whether to install them, click OK. When you are alerted to install a new update, in this window, click updates see, uncheck all updates and select one at a time, install it, restart your computer, test and update. Once you find the update either continue to ignore it, or look for it at http://support.microsoft.com/.
We hope this resolves the issue and look forward to hearing back from you on your results.

Windows Vista operated computer that has worked well so far, now Winsows Media Player does not recognize my burner. Tried to do the upadting for my burner,
but said that everything is up to date, can someone help me?
Hello
You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
correctly.Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.
Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.
CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.Several good info here:
