DVD Movie Maker program overview only 4 of 22 photos

original title: DVD Movie Maker program

I have 22 pictures in DVD Maker file but when I go to preview it will show only 4 photos in a continuous loop?

Why not all 22 pistures will display?

It is a question about Windows DVD Maker, not Movie Maker... but I'll try to help.

You watch the actual movie, or you look at just the menu?   Looks like you have chosen an opening animation which is your menu as the DVD player is waiting for you to press Play.

If you do not want a menu (with some of the photos included), then on the first page (the first page where you give the DVD a title), go to the Options in the lower right and choose to ignore the menu and go directly to the film.

I think the best would be to extract the

Save the file to your desktop. Open the .zip file and
Drag the file .exe Setup file and drop it on

Copy your .pps, .ppt file to your desktop.

Open the extractor and left click on the "Load" button

The software will extract the images and place them

How to import video from a DVD movie maker window

    Hello J Choi,

    1. What is the operating system installed on your computer?

    2. what version of Movie maker are you using?

I suggest that you copy the video from the CD on the hard drive of the computer and then import it to create DVDs. Browse the CD and locate the video, copy it to your disk (computer) hard, and then try to import.

    Hi Michaelle1,

    ·          You did it of any material changes or software on the computer before this problem?

    ·          Do you have any third party media player and codec installed on your computer?

Temporarily uninstall them if you have any third-party media player installed on your computer and check if you are able to import files video .mov in Windows Movie Maker.

Secondly, if you have any third-party codec player installed temporarily uninstall them and check.

To uninstall codec and third-party multimedia player, you can use the Windows Cleanup utility.

Download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility from this link:

Description of the Windows Installer Cleanup utility

Now, run the utility ("' start > all programs > Windows Installer Cleanup" "). In the list of programs displayed in the cleanup, select programs, and then click on remove. Quit out of cleaning.

  • When you use Windows Movie Maker, I can only burn a CD when I want to burn a DVD, why I can't burn a DVD Slideshow?

I have pictures saved on my hard drive and I want to burn a DVD, but Microsoft Movie Maker will only burn to a CD.  How can I burn to a DVD?  I was told that it is possible.

The only version of Windows XP that has a DVD option in Movie Maker
is the "Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005"...

If you want to burn a video DVD that will play in a free-standing DVD

There are many choices in retail, but to get started the following freeware

Click the project settings button and check... Video /.
Target format... residents United States... Choose... NTSC /.
    Accept.

The title button left click Add and navigate to your
Video clips and select the ones you want on the DVD.

You can have by selecting one and then use
    the up and down buttons.

Left click on the button create DVD / OK / Yes / Yes.

Please wait while the DVD is created.

When the text "Completed successfully" is displayed you
DVD Flick can close. Now you can eject your DVD

This happens usually when the video file has
    compatibility problems with Movie Maker.

You can try the following steps but more
probably, you will need to convert the file to the
WMV format to make it compatible.

Reach... Tools / Options / Compatibility tab and
left click Restore values by default all the button / OK

No improvement? Try to convert it to WMV.

There are many converters available on the net... some
    free... some detail.

The following freeware converters are a few examples:

    (1) Sothink Free Video Converter

the Setup.exe from the file out of the folder and drop it on your
    desktop and install from there.

Once installed... Open Sothink and go to... Add the files button...
Find and select the clips you want to convert.

Next... in the encoding settings... Choose... Video credits.
WMV - Windows Media Video (*.wmv).

Choose an output folder and on the left, click on the button convert.

You can experiment with other settings later but

  • My movie maker program does not work correctly. How can I download it again, or at least fix it? It's stop of allowing me to record the final sequence.

Trying to save the profject ended up like a movie .wmv to my computer, it says «save on removable CD...» "but it is actually doing nothing.  He has never done this before.  It is also not working well even to work on project files.  Something is wrong with her, and I would like to reinstall or repair, but can't find it anywhere on Microsoft Download pages.  Any suggestions?

Movie Maker is installed with Windows XP... There
not a separate download. Also... it is updated
with the SP2 of Win XP and Win XP SP3.

I suspect that the maintenance of the system would
more to improve the function of Movie Maker that
    He would reinstall.

FWIW... better run on applications of editing video one
machine is well maintained and fully implemented to date.

You may have reached the limits of your system
resources. Run the error checking, defragmentation and
Disk Cleanup on a regular basis could help.

And... disconnect the net and the closing of all
programs, including your scanner for viruses before
Opening Movie Maker can free up some resources.

Add more RAM, increase the size of your
Swap file and maintain a hard training that
a 50% or more of free space can help.

And you can have compatibility issues with your
source files. Several formats are apparently compatible
with Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

It is also possible that you have a problem with one

    ===============================
You are running Windows or Vista Movie Maker 6
    Live Movie Maker?

Have you tried to save your Movie Maker project
in the format of WMV movie to a folder on your hard drive
disk before importing in DVD Maker?

Sorry... I don't have the exact answer, but I know
some questions that may contribute to this problem...

    (1) using the incompatible sources in the project files.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
    Video - wmv
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

    (2) the project is too large and/or complex.

The fix for this would be to create several small
projects and save each of them in the movie WMV
format in a folder on your hard drive.

The collected WMV files can then be re-imported
in Movie Maker to bring together in a single
film or they can be imported into DVD Maker
and each comes a scene on a DVD.

    (3) codec issues.

Sometimes, this can be corrected by opening film
Manufacturer and go to the... Tools / Options / Compatibility
tab, and uncheck all filters / OK.

Not an option if you are running Live Movie maker
but you can do it in DVD Maker,

    See the following article:

How to burn DVDs with Windows DVD Maker
    http://www.7tutorials.com/how-burn-DVDs-Windows-DVD-Maker
(scroll waaay down for...) What to do in case of problems)

    (4) video driver needs to update.

If you reduce the graphic hardware acceleration as
According to the instructions in the following article... you can
See an improvement. If... Yes, you need to update
your video driver. (improvement or not... do not forget to)

Also, some systems cannot handle Vista Movie
Machine 6 or Windows Live Movie Maker... among those
instances... There's an earlier version which can be
    downloaded and installed:

Well, I was very happy when the program doesn't stop after following your advice and unchecking above named filter. But then, after it scans the file (which is a progress!), he says he cannot continue because one or more of the files contains a codec that is not supported by AutoMovie. I don't even know what a codec IS. I know who was Kojak, and I know what is Kotex, but what the heck is a codec and how do I get one?

    Thank you!

"What exactly is"Codec"and why would I ever need it?

It is difficult to know what codec, you may need to because it
is based on the format of your source files. And it is possible
You may have some compatibility issues with one or more
    source files.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Music - wma, wav, wmv

It may be interesting to try to download and install a codec pack...

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)
