DVD player freezes when audio editing

My application DVD player recently started crashing every time that trying to change the volume of the silent era. The laptop is a MacBook 12 "retina 2015, using an external DVD drive that has worked very well for a year. Have tried on many different DVDs and they all load fine, DVD player auto-commence, but they all open with no sound. If I try to increase the volume of 0 on the slider, the player crashes. If I try to access audio via the menu 'Options' menu does load not for Audio and audio disk configuration is similarly frozen to corruption. Other audio works fine on the machine. Any idea on what could be the problem? Thank you.

Greetings bhan001,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It seems you want to play a dvd on the MacBook connected via an external dvd drive. Given that the application crashes using each dvd that you tried it may be a problem with the application itself. There are a few things that we can try to isolate and solve the problem.  I would recommend you read these articles, starting in safe mode disables the 3rd party applications that may interfere with the DVD player application. If the problem persists, we can try a new user to test to see if it's a matter of profile or the scale of the system.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

Take care.

I have never the Toshiba DVD software to work on this laptop, although the DVD can be played with Windows Media Player.
I uninstalled the version provided with the laptop and installed the latest version on the Toshiba site. The player will be
now run once if it is the first application to be started from a hard reboot, but will crash if another application has been executed in front of her.

One thing you might try is to uninstall the new drive and clean the registry with ccleaner or tools like this. Reboot your system, then reinstall it.
Do you have an error message when the player crashes after you have launched other programs?

  • Flash video player freezes during audio sequences

For the past few days, whenever I play a video that uses Flash Player video freezes for a few seconds then repeat part of the audio. Once the audio repeat arrives to the point that the video freeze occurred, the video RESUME play as if nothing had happened.  What is happening on all the videos I watch on every website that I visit. It only happens once during each video (at least I have stop the video and restart) and it's always happening shortly after I start playing the video. I use Firefox for my browser. Flash Player and all the plugins are the most recent versions.

Anyone have a thought on what could be the cause and how can I solve this problem?

My guess is that it has something to do with hardware acceleration. You should try to extinguish it.

You described exactly the thing that happened to me once today on a youtube video. Shortly after my pc BSOD on another video. I got bsod on this same video bit several times. After that, I tried this video with disabled hardware acceleration, and it worked. I tried again after with material on aceleration and it bsod. Same video work normally from chrome.

There is obviously a problem between the ati cards and flash player plugin for firefox and hardware accelerator.

    1. I bet you have ati graphics card

    2. I bet you wouldn't have these problems if you try to watch these videos from chrome

  • Satellite L - cannot access a Toshiba DVD player

My laptop Satellite Pro L-series came with windows and upgrade to Win 7, which I am now running. I tried to read a disc that I burned on a comptuer spent, but tells me it's the wrong region (huh?) - my region is set to 4. So I gave up on it for the Nuncio and switched to the Toshiba DVD player.
When I try to open it, I get a message that module (s) is / are missing. If the restart does not work, re - install the application.

    How can I do this?
    TIA

    Hi billym,.

Normally, you can download a newer version from the official website of Toshiba DVD player if search you for downloads available for your laptop model:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

But if you have a DVD with a different region code, you need to change the region code of your CD/DVD drive (Device Manager > properties of the CD/DVD drive).

But don t forget that region code can be changed 4 times

  • Qosmio F - installation of recovery with portable CD/DVD player

    Hello

I need help, I need to reformat my Qosmio using the recovery CD, but my problem is that my CD/DVD drive does not work. So I decided to buy the new portable CD/DVD player. When I try to reformat using the restore CD in the portable CD player that does not work.

I have an external hard drive, my plan is to transfer the hard disk then I'll use it to reformat my computer. is it possible and how can I do?
Can someone show me how to solve my problem?

    Thank you
    rtmasagca

    Hey Buddy,

I think that the installation of recovery is not possible because it can be made of internal CD/DVD drive.
I put t know what laptop you have because you n t will display information but most of the computers laptops don't support booting from an external drive.

Therefore, buy a new internal drive to install Windows recovery disk. Then it won't work.

  • Satellite U205 - DVD Player problems

I bought a Satellite U205-S5057 year last with Vista on it. For the first month, all video files burn very well. After that, I downloaded all kinds of codecs and trial versions of DVD burning software just got keep burning DVDs.

After all downloads, of course, they began to come into conflict. I ran a system recovery and hoped that it would be clean all conflicts. I put some videos on a CD - rw and transferred to my book burning. When I clicked on the D: / he said "D: / no request." Then I re-installed Realplayer on the internet and now it burns in Realplayer 1 out of every 10 tent or if.

Anyone know why I have so many problems with my CD/DVD drive? In addition, he always says D: / is a DVD player, even when I put a CD. Is this good?

    Hello

Have you tried to remove the top and bottom of the registry entry filters?
    Not? OK, try this:

First remove the CD/DVD drive device manager.
Then, completely remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Finally, restart the computer, and restart the system.
The Windows operating system should recognize the drive and it needs to be reinstalled again.

  • I need a update for my HP DVD player & not rely on Microsoft

I have a problem with HP DVD & I tend to disagree if is saying that my DVD drive (HP DVD RW AD - 7586H) must be replaced. My dvd player works when he wants (has a clean spirit). The last update for my DVD drive is 21/06/2006 (7 years and enjoyed passing updated driver). Ive uninstalled my DVD drive & reinstalled after startup & has nothing there is never, ever a update for my via DriverBooster, DriverScanner or my in-kind Assistant from HP DVD drive & I used a certain programs to update my driver (Driverbooster, DriverScanner etc.). NEVER. If HP can give me a BIOS update, why not send me a DVD Player update through me HP Support Assistant HP?  Well, I think this is a time of combat that HP should create an update to solve all the problems of DVD rather than depend on Microsoft to fix it. If my DVD drive was well Windows I would use the microsoft Fixits, but since it is a HP DVD drive, I think HP should solve the problem, not Microsoft.

What you see in the Device Manager is the driver control for the dvd player, what are you really need to look at is the version of the firmware on your dvd player & see if a newer firmware is available.

Usually many even intermittent faults are more material than firmware, readers are very cheap but & can access a job of 2 minutes to replace if necessary more you a better quality disc & spec as you wish.

I think KH21 is new firmware for this dvd player.

  • A very strange problem with DVD player (some DVD play not)

    Hello everyone.

I bought a laptop Dell Inspiron 3543 2 months ago. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product, but I have a problem with the DVD player. When I insert some DVD discs, the driver reads some DVDs but not others. After trying to play DVDs, I see that the DVD player play about half of the DVD I'm looking for. Although I can guarantee, I didn't send my laptop to the service because I can't work even a day without my cell phone. So, in order to solve the problem, I bought a DVD player new, original Dell (the same model of dvd player, which is Panasonic Matshita DVD +-RW UJ8E2). Today I started using my new DVD player, but it also has the same problem as my old DVD drive or it also does not play some DVD.

To make the issue even more strange, here are some details:

-My dvd drives have no problem and I have tried many original DVDs (especially the original films). And all the dvd disks that do not play on my computer play on other computers with no problems. There is no problem with the disks.

-Certainly no problem with the "DVD region Code". I use original DVDs with region code 2, which is the area code for my country.

-All my drivers, the operating system and the dvd drive drivers are up to date. When I look at my DVD drive properties, it is written that "the dvd drive works properly.

-When I insert a DVD disc, if my DVD player he plays, he plays each time. But if my dvd player does not play a dvd, and then he never plays it. So, there is a consistency in the dvd disc set to play or not. When a DVD disc does not play, my DVD player rolls the drive some time and then the DVD done pretending as if there is no disc in the drive.

-Both my old and newly purchased DVD drives have exactly the same problem, so I think that there's no problem like a lens dirty. I also think that there is no mechanical problem with one of my DVD drives because my newly purchased, original DVD player also has the same problem.

I thank everyone for any help or advice in advance.

Today, I received my dvd player third, new, Chinese, not original from a seller of spare part. He plays all DVDs with no problems. :)

If in the future someone always has the same problem as me and read this Web page to find a solution, you know where is the problem.

  • I want to burn multiple copies of the same project... the first is good, the following DVDs can be played on a DVD player

When I record a video the first time, it goes through a process of "coding", then he writes the disc and the drive works fine in a DVD player. When the first copy is finished, it asks if I want to make another copy, and if I do, it does not have the encoding process (grand... saves a lot of time!) but cannot read the DVD in the DVD drive. Help!

    Hello

Burn a multimedia disc will take time. The part which takes the longest is the encoding. Do not use your computer during this time do not verify your e-mail address, do not play a game, do not touch the mouse or keyboard.

What software do you use to burn the DVD?

Method 1: Make sure that the DVD burner is properly connected to your computer and powered, and that all the necessary software drivers for the DVD burner are installed. You can check your hardware settings in Device Manager by following these steps:

    1. click on Startand then click Control Panel.
    2. click on hardware and sound.
    3. click on Device Manager.

Method 2: Reduce burning speed it burnt and check.

Choose a speed slower burn to your DVD recorder as follows:

    a. return to the Add pictures and video to the DVD page and then click on Options.

    b. in the DVD burning speed box, select medium or slow.

Method 3: If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you uninstall any third-party DVD burning software from the computer and check if it works.
