DVD players that will stream movies Media Hub

I'm looking for Blu - ray player that I can also stream movies to my Media Hub. I was hoping that we could start a list of combinations prople know will work. I'm looking actually at the Sony BDP-S370 but open to anything.

Thank you

I have a PS3 and it works great.   The speed and quality of streaming video is fantastic.  I downloaded some videos 1080 p one of the HDD Sony HD camcorders directly to the media via USB hub.  This will quickly enough, given the amount of data.  Navigation via the PS3 is fast and quality of reading is... well... as good as my framing.  I downloaded also ripped DVD to Divx and it started right away and good mine.  I intend to rip DVD in addition to our library.

    Hello

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

    Original title: DVD burning

I successfully burned a DVD of a film I made with moviemaker that I can still play on older versions of Windows, but I can't play my DVD on my DVD player.  I get a message that says: "disk is incompatible."  How to burn a DVD compatible with DVD players?

    Hello Angels3cma,

Thank you for posting.  It seems that you were doing data DVD discs.  To burn DVDs to be compatible with the DVD player, you will need to make DVD-video disc.  I have listed the steps below to make DVD-video disc in Windows DVD Maker.  These same steps are be typing "How to burn a movie on a DVD" in Help and Support found by pressing the button Start/Orb you Windows desktop.

    Burn a DVD-video disc

You can create DVDs quickly and easily using Windows DVD creation. You can add videos, photos and audio, make slide shows for your DVD, or add your Windows Movie Maker projects. Once you add files, you can burn your DVD with a single click, or, if you prefer, you can choose from several styles of menu and the slide show options to make your special DVD before you burn, or customize your DVD menus and write the DVD menu text yourself.

After you create a DVD, you can play the DVD on a DVD player and watch your movies and slide shows on TV. The following steps explain how to use creation of Windows DVD to burn a DVD.

    To open Windows DVD Maker

    • Click Start, click all programs, and then click Windows DVD creation.

      Note

      • You can also open Windows DVD Maker by inserting a DVD recordable or rewritable Virgin in your DVD burner. When the AutoPlay dialog appears automatically, click on burn a DVD video disc using Windows DVD creation.

To add and mix and match the elements on a DVD

    1. On sharing your memories on a DVD page, click Choose photos and videos.

    2. Do one of the following on the Add pictures and video to the DVD page:

      • Click Add items. Find and select the video files, photos, and files in project Windows Movie Maker that you want to add to your DVD, and then click Add.

      • Click file and then click Open project file. Find the folder that contains a project file creation of Windows DVD that you want to use for your DVD, click the project for creating Windows DVD file, and then click Open.

You can also click Add items to add additional items to the DVD after opening a Windows DVD project file.

    3. To arrange items and specify the order in which the different items will play from the DVD, click on the video, photo or slide show that you want to move, then click on go up or down. You can also move items by dragging upwards or downwards in the list.

    4. To remove an item from the DVD, select the item you want to remove, and then click on remove items.

Choose a DVD burner and enter a DVD title

    1. If you have more than one DVD burner installed on your computer, on the add pictures and video to the DVD page, select the DVD burner that you want to use from the DVD burner list.

  • HL-DT-ST DVD RAM GH15L will not burn on DVD-R blank in Windows Media 9 or 11

I bought a refurbished HP DC7700 Core 2 Duo E6600 2 .4GHz with a DVD +-RW drive. I am able to write music for a blank DVD-R using ImgBurn, but Windows Media Player 9 and 11 will write only on a blank CD - R (it reproduces the DVD-R that I create on ImgBurn). The DVD device is HL-DT-ST DVD RAM GH15L. The operating system is XP Pro. I had to buy a Roxio DVD decoder in order to play a DVD movie in Windows Media Player. Is there something else I need to buy to write music on a blank DVD-R? Or is there a setting that needs to be changed?

Someone suggested that WMP11 does not write DVD - r, but I have WMP11 on a PC with Vista and it written on a blank DVD-R without a problem. I wrote about the DVD-R on the Vista PC and I could read on the XP Pro PC, I just can't write on XP Pro. According to Microsoft, WMP11 is supposed to write an audio file on a data disc.

  • The software installation will not see a Media Hub on XP but on Vista.

When I run the installation software on my desktop running XP, the software says that it cannot find the media center.  Gives error 107 but I can type the IP address and the browser will find and connect to it.  When I run the software on my laptop, running on Vista, it immediately finds the Media Hub and install the software.

I've updated the Media Hub for the latest firmware, but that did not help.  Any advice on how I can get the software to install on my desktop?

Summer reading another post in this Ant and found my answer.

    Another question...

    Hello

I tried to run the installation and add another PC using the installation CD every time and regardless of the operating system PC and other settings of disabled security software can't find the device even if the device has one IP address and I can browse on it.

I configured the device with out the CD installation and everything works fine, the only problem I have is the backup and media import software install because the software cannot find the device. Is there anyway that these applications can be installed individiually with using the CD? Linksys may provide for these applications separately?

    Thank you

    Answer...

Yes you can. On the installation for the NMH CD, locate the file installation. RES (should be about 120 MB). You can extract this file using WINRAR, and once extracted, there will be some applications that you can install on your computer manually. Two of them are the backup tool (file name is backuptool.exe) and the Import tool (file name is LinksysTools.exe)

You can try to do this method if you do not have the hub of media with you.

    Thank you Mared1784 for this...

I have a lightscribe, CD/DVD player, and I started having problems about a month ago... Three points:

    1. software (Real Player or any other) should generally not be on
external hard drives. It can cause problems. So you shouldn't do it.

2 move a program from one drive to another (external or not) is
difficult. This is because besides that the software itself, there is
usually many references to it and its location in | Windows, in the
Registry and elsewhere. Search and replace all of these references is
very hard. There is a software that is supposed to do, but in my
experience, none of this works perfectly. I recommend strongly against
    it.

    3. move media files is easy. You can move the files to a disk
to another exactly like you would move them from one folder to another.
There are several ways, but cut-and - paste and drag - move are the
may be simpler and more common. If you do not know how
    write again for more information.
