DVD - RW not recognized by WIN Vista 64

A month to buy my m1330 almost everything works perfectly under WIN Vista 64-bit. A few days ago I noticed that my OS doesn't recognize the dvd - rw drive.

I tried in ubuntu too, and it works PERFECTLY. Is it possible is that a bug of mounting SP1 for vista?

  • CD/DVD drive not recognized by Windows Vista

I installed a suite of burningb of CD and DVD on my Toshiba (under Vista Home Premium). My CD/DVD drive appeared more in the computer and was no longer functional. I deleted the program I installed and apparently caused the problem, but it did not help. I have read through the help of Microsoft (929461, 314060) documents and used the Fix - It utility. Also unsuccessful. I discovered the response of Martin, the technical support engineer made on May 5, 2009. I followed his instructions with great success. However, my question now is this: I have still some remains of the problem left over. I get an error message at startup saying, 'InstaBurn UDF driver is not installed correctly. Run the InstaBurn installation program. ' InstaBurn is part of the suite of the copy (hotpics by Nova Development Corp.).  I also have an error message of my reader DVD Toshiba saying that the DVD player does not work - although it is. I played a DVD as a test on it after that I followed the instructions above. How can I remove these error messages annoying that aren't accurate?  Would appreciate any information about this minor - but annoying problem.

Do a Restore Point then you can go back to where you are if necessary although you should not have to:

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

  • Satellite Pro A300 PSAJ1E: Touchpad not recognized using Win XP SP2

    Hi all

I just got a Satellite Pro A300 PSAJ1E, which is preloaded with Vista. It is also comes with a 'product' XP SP2 recovery CD I had to use because of some software work with Vista compatibility issues.

Unfortunately, everything works well except the Touchpad, which is not recognized by XP at all (without entries, error or not, in the Device Manager).
The "Recovery" of XP CD installed the drivers of the Alps and the Toshiba Touchpad utility (for turning on and outside), so it seems that it is supposed to work.

It is activated in the BIOS (which I have also flashed to the latest version, just in case) and is enabled in the software. I also rebuilt the laptop using the "Recovery" CD (the touchpad is not also recognized by starting on the CD "Recovery" which I guess uses WinPE).

It does not work on Vista, so it shouldn't be a hardware problem.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Andy

    Hey Buddy

Well in your case I would recommend going to the Device Manager and remove the touchpad in the list of devices.

Then visit the European driver Toshiba page, choose your model of laptop, Win XP OS and download the driver for the Alps Electric and Synaptics touchpad.

Install both drivers, reboot the laptop and check if your touchpad will work correctly.

    Good luck

  • DVD / disc not recognized Equium A100

I recently bought a laptop with Vista installed Equium. On my old pc (Windows XP Home edition), I supported a large number of pictures and files on a DVD disc with nero, when I try to load these on my laptop the drive is not recognized.

I have a lot of files on the other DVD, these are also not recognized, I would like to transfer these files on my laptop. Can anyone help this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

As you have probably not known, not all CD or DVD is compatible with each drive.
This means that sometimes the medium cannot be recognized and the Player cannot read or write on CD or DVD.

In my knowledge in the manual, you should find a list of compatible DVD and CD.

PS: I use the TDK CD and DVD TDK. I m very satisfied

  • Drive CD/DVD is not recognized.

Original title: problems with ' Drive

Yesterday, Fix it Center has replaced the driver for my CD/DVD. It has worked perfectly for a few seconds and then 'frozen '.
After several attempts to restart it, I ended up doing a system restore, which (as you know) 'lost' the driver for it had "lead to new!
This morning I tried again to use Fix it Center, but get now an error code: 0 x 80092003.
Any help to this sorting will be appreciated.
    Kind regards.

    Hello

Looks like the drive may be faulty, did you add that any CD or DVD of recent programs-
especially those that load at startup?

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.
