DVD WITH MEDIA CENTER
Media Center recognizes the DVD files on my C: drive when I copy / paste the file on my D: drive it won't. I have the correct library settings in Media Center and concludes all my music but you will not find my DVD files. I used the fix so that Media Center says "DVD library" and it works very well with files on my C: drive but not the D: drive. Help, please.
Hi XXXRUSH2112,
You need to add D drive be monitored by windows media center for the files appear in the library of the centre.
Every time that you start Windows Media Center, it will search digital media in these cases. And if you add or remove a file from any one of these files, Windows Media Center will automatically update the contents of the corresponding image, video or music library so that they stay in sync.
To add a folder to watch
1. on the Start screen, navigate to tasks, and then click settings.
2. click on the library settings.
3. click on Add a folder to watch, and then click Next.
4. According to the where your digital media files are stored, click one of the options under which folders you want to add?, and then click Next.
5 navigate in the folders that you want to add by clicking on the - and + buttons and then select the check box next to each folder. (Files in subfolders will be included with your selection).
6. When you have selected all the folders that you want Windows Media Center to watch, click Nextand then click Finish.
7. make sure that you select the D drive in the library to look at.
After you have finished adding files, it may take several minutes for the files in the libraries.

Get Win8.1 Pro with Media Center in Dual Boot with Windows 10 Pro
In December of 2012, I bought a new Dell XPS12 running 64-bit window 8. Later, I bought "Win8 Media Center Pro Pack" for Windows Media Center. Later, I upgraded to Windows 10 pro and lost Media Center. Given that I had a legitimate copy of Windows 8 Pro with Media Center, I would like to re - install in a separate partition. I was able to clean install Win8.1 in this partition using a flash drive and the MediaCreationTool. He did not like my product key OEM Win8, and he didn't like my WMC Pro Pack upgrade key, so I installed using a KMS key that is freely available online.
Clearly, I go about it the wrong way. I'm happy to start again and install Win8, then upgrade with my pro WMC pack key, but I do not know the mystical incantations necessary to get there. Since I had legitimately a Pro Win8.1 with instance of Media Center, and I my self Win10 product key after upgrade, I can't imagine that such a dual-boot configuration would be illegal. Can someone please help?
Thank you
Loki
Hello
Eventually your 8.1 installation using KMS will be disabled.
1. cannot use keys hacked to enable long term of Windows, as you will be taken; It's a matter of time.
2. the key/license Windows product to describe the operating system, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, etc. is absorbed by upgrading Windows 10 during the installation process and becomes an integral part of the active Windows 10 final installation.
The license qualifying operating system, either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, etc. cannot be used anywhere else, or in a dual boot with Windows 10.
Kind regards.

Hi, this is Rafi K, I recently installed win 8 64-bit on my computer dell laptop XT3, so activated my product key with MEDIA CENTER PACK, so now I want to improve it to WIN Pro 8.1. But I keep if you search windows 8.1 update, but it says "sorry this update is not available for your PC or you can run an edition of windows that does not support the update of the store", is if there's someone who can help me to update my windows 8.1 pro. Thank you! am waiting for your valuable response.
Hello Rafi K,.
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem.
According to the deciphering of the question, you can not upgrade your computer Windows 8 to 8.1 of Windows. So, I suggest to try the steps by Vivian Samartha responded on April 12, 2014 in the following thread and see if it works for you.
If the problem persists after trying the above steps, I'll ask to follow the steps given by David Williams Dixon in the Blog below.
Something happened and the 8.1 Windows installation may not be completed. (And now you are bored)
We know if the steps help you in upgrading the computer to Windows 8.1.

Refresh Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center
Dear all,
I know that this issue is outdated, but I'm stuck and could not find relevant suggestions to solve the problem. I had a Windows 7 preinstalled on my laptop and when windows 8 pro upgrade offer was announced I was among the first who was immediately upgraded to windows 8 pro and then as a special offer that also gave me the windows media center to activate. I would like to confirm that I have not the mail where in the product key for windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit and windows media center. After the upgrade, except a few hiccups, there is no problem at all. Then when windows 8.1 pro was available on the windows store I've even once upgraded to windows 8.1 pro. After the installation of my new configuration was Windows Pro 8.1 with Media Center.
But immediately after the upgrade, I realized that the discount into account and recovery option did not work. He always encouraged me that some files are missing and I need to insert the media. But never, I downloaded an image ISO of Windows 8 Pro and don't have I not a windows media 8.1 pro because of the way I had been upgraded to windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center. in any case, I just forgot the question and never bored on this subject seriously.
But Offlate I realize that my computer has slowed down considerably. I tried the option to delete the Temp, Prefetch compensation files, scan /sfc, defrag etc etc. But nothing seems to work. Suddenly I realize also that when booting I get a blue screen with the message this process is critical error blue screen death. Sometimes, I just get a prompt Commander with press TP message press Ctrl Alt Del and then some message about a problem in external media connected failure... I never took a snapshot of the same thing.
Now someone can tell me how to do: -.
b how to refresh windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center without any media. I have only windows 8 Pro and Media Center Key separately.
(b) If there is no way to update windows 8.1 Pro without media then
(I) Comment to download media Windows Pro real 8.1 with the key of Windows 8 Pro on the Microsoft site.
(ii) what happens if I download windows 8 Pro Media and then try to update windows 8.1 Pro? Will it work?
(iii) if I download Windows 8 Pro and then reinstall on my laptop running windows, Pro 8.1 will he do a clean install? What happens to the Sony Vaio Care which is preinstalled on my PC? It's the Bios that has been updated on my PC? I checked out the site of Sony Vaio and found that it has not released and drivers for Windows Pro 8 or 8.1 of Windows Pro. Sony has released updates for Windows Pro 8 and 8.1 of Windows Pro only. So after a clean installation from which will be drivers for Bios, graphics, Ethernet, Bluetooth drivers driver, Wireless LAN Driver, SATA driver, card reader memory, Vaio Care pilot, Vaio Control Center, Data Rescue, Notebook Utilities, Vaio Update, Vaio Gate, fast Internet access, Vaio Smart Network, pilot ME, etc etc...
(c) how to fix the blue screen issue?
(d) what to do if I get the Message to press Ctrl Alt Del again and it won't start... Return to the menu even again and again...
I'd appreciate if tech assistants would care to guide me to solve the problem. Any attempt to answer in very technical terms without guides step by step is likely to confuse me further... If a request to all the counterparts to stay simple.
But a simple thought crossed my mind - why Microsoft did complicate the question so... Why couldn't they keep the key product of Windows 8 and windows 8.1 even for anyone to directly download the windows pro 8.1 and refresh the PC.
anyway thanks in advance... regards
Hi Isabelle,.
I understand that you are looking for ways to refresh your computer.
IF you get a message missing files when executing update, it is recommended to create a bootable disk for Windows 8.1 and launch then refresh.
Please follow the link below that will guide you to create the installation media for Windows 8.1:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media
You have not an ISO for Windows 8.1 with media center, it's Windows 8.1/Windows pro 8.1.
Once you launch a clean install of Windows, you must reinstall the application on the computer manufacturer website. and to learn more about the availability of drivers, contact the manufacturer of your computer for help.
Blue screen problem can be caused for multiple reasons such as drivers, hardware...
See the bottom of the article that will help you with the blue screen on the PC problems:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/resolve-Windows-blue-screen-errors
Message from press Ctrl Alt Del appears mainly due to an external device, try to remove the external devices connected to the computer and then restart it.
Please contact the telephone support, suggest so that all difficulties can be addressed, see the link below:

Hope this information helps, for assistance please answer.
