  Hi all

  I'm working on a video project and that you want to add a lightsaber effect, but a layer which is suppose to be transparent isn't using dynamic links.

  I shot the video in my head, and everything else hidden.  I made a flash body to put my head on.  Now I know how to make a lightsaber in After Effects CS4. (starting with comp 1 with videos making a white solid layer, and then using the tool pen to make the sword.  Then copy the sequences video and place it in comp 2.  Then to return to comp 1 and remove the video sequences. then on comp 1 making a SOLID BLACK LAYER {that's the problem} and place it under the layer of white.  Then duplicate the white layer 3 times.  Changing each feather white layer mask to make the glow.  so going to comp 2 and take the 1 model and her nest to model 2...  Then change the blending mode of the model nested 1 to the screen.

  The main timeline in Premiere Pro CS4 and I have the video layer 1 to Photoshop file which is pink and the background of this project.  I made a dynamic link to After Effects and copied and pasted the video images and flash to the comp.  Here, I made the lightsaber.

  P. S. - one-way I kinda had this work was I took one of the masks of white and copied and pasted layers in nested layer comp 1.  Adjusted to the width of the mask and the pen and I got a glow of blue ok.  You just can't mask width too because it shows a lot of black.  It is not as good as I want and I hope someone can help...

  Well, blend modes don't create transparency, so the behavior is correct - because technically, the background of the model is ignored for the mix of operations, in areas where there are no content below for the mix, only the layer of black color is used.   If a graphics card is not on the "Supported" list, this does not mean that it doesn't work. All you need to do is make a simple text change in the 'cuda_supported_cards.txt' file to make it work. See the Top 20 MPE Gain Chart and note how many cards not supported is there. And Adobe has been negligent in the update of this list. For example, the 680 is supported, but not mentioned on this list.

  Another way to see this is to go to the test results and then select video card / GeForce 600 series and (currently) see 51 results. If you then click in the column heading "Video card" it will be sorted by card. Clicking again will reverse the sort order.

Most of my work is done with special lenses. 90% of my video is shot with Prime lenses. I recently shot a pilot for a television series and the camera had a zoom, but not fired one shot with a zoom, I've only used the zoom for framing. I hate zooms. I have a short zoom on my personal camera but only to convince them. When I shoot portraits that I use usually sets a goal and it is usually a 50 mm or 85 mm equivalent because I like to be close and personal with my subject.

  I seem to be getting really reading juddery jaggy when I dynamic bind a sequence in After Effects. Conviviality between premiere and After Effects is quite well. I can jump between the two progs. without any lag or slow down. It's just when I do the necessary color corrections, or VFX stuff, I'll be back in first and the After Effects composition games replaced slow return... very jerky. I get the yellow bar above, who Im with the understanding that he must come back and play in real time. That she doesn't. It is not until I make work area that I can watch the sequence in real time.

  If I understand correctly, you have an AE comp in a sequence of Pr.  In AE, you added the CC and the VFX.  When you return to Pr play the AE comp, you don't get the reading of RT.

  It's normal.  The CC and VFX for EI must be made by AE before coming to PR.  If AE will not be rendered in RT, then Pr will not play the model related to RT

  In PR, the yellow bar does not pass to red because the Pr has no way of knowing what, if anything, was done in AE.  All the Pr never see are images made of EI.  PR, if the size and pace of the computer frame corresponds to the sequence image size and frame rate, then RT reading is theoretically possible.

  I got the help of Adobe support, they sent me another link to download Adobe App Mgr It was apparently a network problem but, and it was resolved after a few re-tent.

• I lost the license for Photoshop and After Effects when updating to CC, 2015

  When I updated all of my applications to 2015 CC, I lost the license for Photoshop and After Effects. All my other apps are not affected. I tried following the instructions here: Creative Cloud applications unexpectedly back in the test mode. CS6, CCM but it still says that there is no license associated with my account.  I'm running OS X version 10.9.5 and I version the full creative cloud student. What else could I do to retrieve my apps? Thank you.
