  Nothing weird about it.

  This laptop a kilo has been great for 1.5 years, although the "speaker" is insufficient. I just bought a great Yamaha Bluetooth stereo speaker and paired with success.

  I installed the K-Lite Codec Pack - no help. Different parameters and configuration of driver changes also make no difference.

  Periodically, I get an alert on the clock in the status bar that says:

  The Toshiba site, there are several different Bluetooth installation packages. I found one that specifies compatibility with the R600, but it would not be installed.

  Hi - I just got a new Portege; R600-102. It's a great machine - very light and fast.

  I connect to a Slim port replicator to the office and I wish I could anchor and automatically use the external monitor without opening the laptop. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to do it? This process has worked well on my recently retired Dell X 300.

  The laptop supports a simple slot ExpressCard.
  Usually, you should get an ExpressCard compatible all work.

• Portege R600-12Z long delay of start & does not recognize DVD dirve

  I have been using my Portege R600 running windows XP for about 14 months now and recently FOUND that he began to take 1 to 2 minute wait before starting the sequence start or resumption after hibernation. Now, I have discovered that the DVD drive (5100 DVD - RW supermulti drive) does not work: in the Device Manager it shows as unable to start; If I try to boot from the drive of CD/DVD (F8 at first upward, or the definition of the boot priority) it does not take into account the CD and eventually get to the start of the HARD drive in any case. At the same time, the reader is actually superimposed a disc (it will open and close and will try to read any disc inserted).   Got the 560 yesterday and set up was smooth. First thing I did was try to connect to my home wireless network, but it wouldn't connect. I checked the network password several times but it doesn't connect at all.

  All my other devices at home can always connect to my network. And the 560 connects to the network of my neighbour without problem.

  So I think that this is not a problem with the radio doesn't work.

  Discovered the Atheros drivers were from 2009. Looked around the internet and found a newer version (although not later).

  Updated the drivers manually and its working fine now.

  PS: The pilot of the lenovo Web site download section is horrible... awful.

• Connected to home WiFi but not Wireless LAN home page

  This morning, everything was fine but something happened with the printer and now my laptop is all out of whack. I used to be connected to my home network where I could access all computers on the network and my hard drive Western Digital World Book Edition II. I don't know how, but now I'm out of the network.   1-6 steps enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP, which is a good thing to do.  These measures do not affect the type of node.  As explained in the link nitecruzr, there is a good reason to make this explicit parameter instead of the default Windows.

  time on this printer.  Any ideas?   And please do not repeat the most obvious of which have already been addressed.

  Don't know why, but just to the dickens, have you a device add tonight, after a few days with

  It could be caused by a couple of things:

  1. firewall on PC or router.

  2 interference (microwave, cordless phone base @ 2.4 Ghz)

  3 distance from router

  4 corrupted printer driver.

  Turn off the firewall you have and you move anything that can cause interference to router.

  If none of the above solves the problem, I'll have to install a different printer driver.

  Click Start.

  Go to devices and printers.

  Click Add a printer.

  Add a local printer. Create a new Port, then choose "Standard TCP/IP port.

  Click Next.

  TypeRegeditdans in the box 192.168.1.12 IP address or host name. (uncheck the box 'Interrogate the printer')

  Click Next.

  When the printer list opens, click windows update. (it takes a few minutes)

  After the box appears, choose HP (not Hewlett Packard) on the left and choose "Deskjet 990c" on the right.

  Click Next, the default value and end.

  Try to print using the printer Deskjet 990c.

• Able to connect to SQL Developer but not a toad - ORA-12154: TNS

  My workplace uses TOAD as standard SQL tool to run against Oracle, although I prefer test and use SQL developer.

  I believe that your version of toad is too low for this version of Oracle. You should be able to confirm with QUEST software.

  My rule with Toad's (once you get past the version number), if you cannot connect using SQL, Toad will never work.
