Dysfunction of the chiclet keyboard

Hey,.

I just bought myself a nine T530 (2 weeks) and I am nothing, but happy... until there's a half-hour keyboard button is released while typing - just like that. I paid over 2 grand and it is the quality that I receive? FYI, I already had a R400 with keyboard problems. So what - this with Lenovo and miserable keyboards?

in any case, what is the way of _fastest_ to get a new button since it seems to be broken since (a clip on the bottom is missing). And why the support down page?

Any constructive contribution is appreciated.

PS: Sorry for my p.o. slightly would be tone - but I'm really...

Call the customer service and order a new keyboard. It is simple to replace. In the meantime, use an external keyboard.

Expect to stay enemy to take a few hours and then get promises that may or may not be maintained.

The support page is not down: it is only in a "very slow" cyclical time that's happened since mid-2009. Wait til Win8 came out to see the crash site.

I'll offer a few buying tips... of my recent upgrades of keyboard (and frustrations) over the past 2 years.

    1. wireless keyboards (currently sold) can be grouped into 2 categories:

Consistent and 2.4 GHz wireless Bluetooth owner.

2 mouse and Bluetooth compatible keyboards are largely targeted for laptops and Tablet (Android largely) use.

The choice of models is limited desktop Bluetooth keyboards.

Since both of my offices are able to Bluetooth 4.0, it was a great disappointment.

    3. industrial property wireless (2.4 GHz) are largely provided by HP and Logitech (Unify).

I did find 2 business solutions to work.  :-(

I use HP SK - 2885 USB (wired) keyboard and a wireless mouse Logitech M-510 on two of my desktops at home.

The mouse requires (USB dongle) Unifying receiver into a USB 2.0 alternative.

I kept the wired keyboard, for the ability to put in place the UEFI (F2) to power up, when I want.

I have an old Logitech click! I - wireless mouse

BUT it's not compatible Unify.  It works with its own Receiver USB owner.

    SO, he is now retired.

Keeping an eye open for a wireless keyboard - BUT have not found one that I like.

At this stage, it should be Unify or compatible Bluetooth

  • Using the chiclet on Toshiba laptops keyboard

Why chiclet keyboards are so conducted? I don't like the new island-syle for keyboards, so why not give a choice double (classic keyboard / chiclet keyboard) to consumers?

In my opinion, it is the design of new and interesting keyboard. To be honest, I prefer old classic keyboard but also to make new product laptop designers attractive new design, colors and so on.

It is the same with all other products on the market.

  • Pavilion 17-f042nr: backlit Chiclet keyboard for computer or laptop 17-f042nr

In terms of how to feel the keys, I love my keyboard. It is quite easy to type simple phrases etc. All that does not require a symbol - of the normal stuff. Problem is, I'm big enough coding, I play games, and I often use my pad. This keyboard chiclet-style boring, combined with the fact I'm touch-typist and work in conditions of low lighting makes everyday, my keyboard basically useless and extremely frustrating when I'm doing something more than just searching for words.

I can not easily use f3 to search for because I have to press fn and f3... and pray that, while I'm uncomfortable stretch my hand of the fn for the function keys, I hit f3 instead of f4, lest I lose what I'm trying! I can not easily go back without hitting accidentally all the other keys around the button annoyingly small and moved. I can not easily remove delete button without accidentally hitting the "home" button. And heaven help me on how many times I accidentally turned off numlock without knowing it, than to try to use the number keys and end up with a huge mess of cursor moved and to reach the mouse because of the absence of witness bright numlock.

Basically, I'm at the end of my rope with this design trend that is disgusting to put form over function. (Newsflash: keys are grouped together and have been for decades for some reason.) But since I need the computer and so forth (and well beyond the point of return, anyway), well... I hope someone can help me upgrade to a much better keyboard.

I'm looking for is a backlit chiclet keyboard (which I guess is more likely to be found) or a normal-style, bundled keyboard for my laptop 17-f042nr Pavilion. I'll even take a chiclet style which brought together key (ex: Esc |) F1 F2 F3 F4 | ...) where | is an extra/double spacing key compared to how it is now (ex: Esc F1 F2 F3 F4) and with the best space between the keyboard and a numeric keypad. A biggest delete key would be great, too. But I know that it is above all a chimera. Just, please, someone tell me how to get a usable/retro-illuminated/non-chiclet keyboard in this thing.

  • The iPhone keyboard Volume 7

I loaded 10 IOS on my Iphone 6 Plus and liked the new keyboard click sounds.  I received my Iphone 7 Plus today and set in motion the keyboard clicks, turned the volume of the ringer up to max and I can barely hear the clicks in the quieter room.  The sound of the music that comes out of both speakers is as bad and certainly not better than the Iphone 6.  All other sounds work normally.  If Apple will have an option for keyboard click sounds, then you need to be heard.  Disappointing to say the least on a $1,000 phone.

Hello Soundhd and welcome to Apple Support communities. Judging by your name, I think you want to listen to the sound. When Apple announced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 more there is much talk of the speakers to the iPhone (s). Have you tried to reboot or hard reboot? In addition, if your iPhone Plus 7 is still under warranty, I suggest you go to your local Apple store and let them take a look.

I just upgraded my iPhone iOS 5 7.3 iOS 10.0, now when I use my e-mail, I can place my phone horizontally to get the larger keyboard is no longer and use my thumbs (many more fast typing). Now, I get a "field" with scripted, for styles to close since fonts. There is an icon of a 'keyboard' if I type nothing happens. Clues? your help will be greatly appreciated.

Pressing this icon small keyboard should work (done on my iPhone 7). Until someone answers with more information, another thing you could try is to open the keyboard when the phone is vertical and then put it too horizontal.

When I running logic, and I turn on my keyboard that is connected through the USB port, I have notes very strong play in my speakers of digital pianos. Looks like octave A A-1 and A-0, if my middle C is C3.  It's not that exactly, but it's the closest, I can get to describe. Sometimes whenever I reached the record. It happens that one time and then slowly fades as if I cling to the sustain pedal. I looked through the Advanced preferences of logic, as well as the audio MIDI on my computer, however I don't really know what I'm looking for.

If someone has had this problem and know how to fix it?

First of all, if you're on OS X 10.11.5, must REALLY be run LPX 10.2.2 seriously.  Also update you driver/software Casio to a compatible version of El Capitan.  Maybe previous versions of LPX in El Capitan is not as stable.

In regards to your urgent problem, I would look at the hardware keyboard, what are the parameters?  Logic is not send anything 'out' on the keyboard, unless you play something back.

  • Problems with the Smart keyboard (iPad 9.7 Pro)

I recently bought the iPad Pro 9.7 inches, gray space, Wifi, 128 GB. IOS 9.3.1 of the operating system.

A few questions that I met in my four days of using the iPad with the Smart keyboard:

NOTE: the following problems persist despite a technical support call which lasted, I did 2 hours and 30 minutes. I had to restore my iPad settings by connecting to iTunes via my PC to reinstall the last iOS.

    (i) switching applications: if I want to pass, say, from safari to adobe, it is quite easy to do with the keyboard. However, there is an intermittent problem when the apps. When I try to open Adobe when I use safari, the screen of the iPad shows apps that are open as soon as I press the command and tab key.

What is supposed to happen - I choose to open Adobe, Adobe opens.

What happens to the contrary - Adobe does not open. Another "X" application that is currently running, opens. It is quite frustrating, because there is no pattern to this. If I use once more the keyboard shortcut to open Adobe, another application 'Y' which is running, open it now.

In this case, I pointed out, often when the App Store is running.

(II) command key: sometimes, shortly after I use the shortcut keys to turn on screen shortcut area (pop-up shortcut) - apps, this is supposed to happen if and only if you press and hold down the command key.

This often happens when I switch to Safari.

(III) keyboard not responding: a problem that I met today for the first time. My keyboard will not just respond. I had to disconnect and reconnect the keyboard for this function.

(IV) on which the space key: to wake up the iPad, pressing the SPACEBAR is enough. You don't have to press the home button. Yet, sometimes the space key does not respond and you must use the home button.

    v) Quick app - keyboard shortcut crash switch function causes: if I want to switch from app to app 'X' 'Y', but mistakenly switch to 'Z' app, I immediately want to spend to 'Y '. However, I can't do this in quick succession. I have to wait a second or two before I can switch from 'Y' 'Z' app, otherwise the automatic switching app crashes and you have to wait once more for a second or two before moving on.

    My diagnosis:

    (I) it could be a problem with the smart connector on my iPad. A hardware problem. But it does not explain why the automatic switching app appears and passes correctly but eventually open the wrong applications. Also, it does not explain why the problem is intermittent.

(II) a software problem. However, that would make me a face 5 questions at once. Sort of. I was surprised that, apart from the question of #3 and #4, there was almost no mention of other issues.

To restart the iPad or to disconnect and reconnect the keyboard. But I don't think that anyone would be willing to do this 4 - 5 times on a daily basis.

    Update:

So I used my keyboard all day yesterday without opening the App Store. And guess what? It has been working perfectly. All the above problems I mentioned were not available yesterday. I'll use the App Store today and let it run in the background to see how does my iPad.
