• Setting of baud rate with CVI runtime for Linux

  Hello people,

  I have a problem regarding the setting of baud rate with the CVI for Linux runtime.

  I want to communicate with a device that has a USB-to-serial of FTDI chip. The driver for this device is already included in the kernel (openSUSE 11.1, 2.6.27.23 - 0.1 - default i686 kernel).

  I can use a terminal program (HTerm 0.8.1beta) to open the serial port at/dev/ttyUSB0 and can set all baudrates, the unit supports (38400, 115200, 921600) and communication works perfectly.

  Now I take the example of series of NEITHER and go under Windows. I developed to support 921600 baud, and it works very well. So I try to run this example on Linux (I've expanded in order to open/dev/ttyUSB0), but it only works for 38400 baud. If I try to put 115200 or 921600 baud, then I get error RS232-14 (invalid baud rate).

  It would be nice if there is someone who can give me a suggestion what I need to do to get the job to 921600 baud.

• Cp6 - which publishes e-learning content for an LMS?

  There seems to be a break on the serious deficiencies or BUGS with Captivate 6 (or earlier versions) with the publication of an LMS.

  I meet a lot of problems when I publish on an AICC based LMS. These problems do not exist in independent publication (or any method that does not involve an LMS).

  The problems:

  1. There is no option to begin the lesson in a child and no window only this is very unusual in an environment of LMS, it prevents the developer to use an EXIT button (see next problem). Anyone who has taken the elearning in the part surely recalls how the lesson most often starts in a new window and parent windows displays a message like: "Please do not close this window for the duration of the lesson.
     
     NOTE: The full-screen edition [output] option does not work when reporting (AICC or SCORM) is enabled. This is also recognized by using Captivate:
     ' Full screen - . Opens the file in mode full-screen. (You can not apply this option if you select AICC or SCORM options for the project.) »
     
     This is a serious flaw in Captivate!
     
     
  2. The EXIT button (whether in the time/slider bar custom button GOLD successfully - Javascript) does not work when the report is enabled. No amount of javascript in the world will be useful because javascript can only close a proceeding opened in javascript! This is why the problem needs to be fixed!

  The purpose of this thread is to assess how many others publish LMS content (in particular - complete courses that go beyond simply simulations). If you publish to an LMS, you have these problems, OR if not, what did you do to solve these problems?

  I understand your situation, because I'm in a similar situation.

  My solution is reliable and gives our students a sense of accomplishment.

  For the exit button, I Execute advanced Actions, display a message "for example you are outgoing lesson and return to the catalog of the lesson", and finally I set with JavaScript to run 'history.back(-3)' to go back 3 pages in the history of browser that brings the learner to the catalogue of the lesson. Is this "elegant" enough for you? Laughing out loud

• Course e-Learning Guitar beginner with Animate

  I want to create a beginner guitar e-Learning courses using Adobe animate. I already know how to do basic and entertainment quizzes and interactions with Actionscript code. However, I'm not sure what is the best way to set up an entire course. Here are the options I am considering, could you please tell me which would be best?

  1. create the e-Learning course as a Web site. Each interaction new training would be on an individual HTML page with an object "flash" to 800 x 600. Results are saved to a central database, file, or LMS.

  2. create the e-Learning courses entirely to breast to animate it. Every frame of the main timeline would constitute a "new page", much like a Powerpoint slide. This means that the entire project and all assets are encapsulated in a single file.

  Finally, I would like to be able to deliver the course through a variety of formats; Tablets, HTML5, iPad, and Android. Would one of these approaches is more amenable to this path? I wouldn't have to recreate all the entire new course page-by-page for each new format delivery.

  (I don't want to use Adobe Captivate, while some of its functions are great, it's learning interactions are limited for what I want to do).

  the approach that would be easier to expand a SWF to a html5 project would be to use each keyframe on the main timeline as a separate lesson.  each key frame can contain a movieclip which would post this lesson of executives.

• Tracking success/failure on LMS

  I'm trying to follow the success/failure of a Captivate project and I'm having difficulties with the LMS. It is followed as finished after just the first slide, before taking the quiz again. I have my settings of the quiz the report 'Quiz results only' option, Pass/Fail, report LMS as a percentage, Reporting level is 'Report Score', pass/fail options are set at 75%.
  
  NOTE: I welcomed the user 2 attempts to pass. Could this be what gives me?

  I had this with our change LMS (Sumtotal) Pass/Fail to complete/incomplete in reporting of quiz

  This is peaks and valleys (maxs and mn).

  It will then display locations (x-value) and amplitue (value y) point.

  I use LV 2009 with the new Toolbox FPGA and an NI PXI 7854R. I acquire an analog signal with a sampling frequency of 600kS / s. I need as the sampling rate for the processing of the data, but I also need the signal sampled with a much smaller, variable sampling frequency to a FFT.

  I have install Cisco Identity Service Engine (1.1.1) with Wireless LAN Controller (7.2.110)

  Everything is complete, unless the redirect URL. My customer comments can join the SSID of comments and also can authenticate to ISE.

  But after they success to authenticate with ISE, the URL in the browser does not alter the pre - configure. There still be something like https://ise-ip:8443/guestportal/redir.html . Anyway the content in the browser is replaced by the URL that is configured as http://www.google.com/

  How can I do with this cause of situation that everything works well, but only the URL of the browser that is not a change to the sits one.

  Edit the/etc/sysconfig/network/config file.

  Find this line:

  NETCONFIG_DNS_STATIC_SERVERS = «»

  Change the line and put a DNS server IP address in quotes.

  Restart your device and try again.

  Edit: Still one thing, make sure that you deploy the version of the appliance corresponds to your version of vCenter. vCenter Server 5.5 uses the replication device 5.5, 5.1 VC uses 5.1 etc.

  It is different because you connect to diffferent PRIMARY = instances.icecube_cur_ownr, icecube_his_ownr = CADS.

  Have you used the same TNS-entry to connect with the CADS by sqlplus? If you have several oracle_homes you are not really sure what the owb tnsnames.ora uses.

  Then search for other files tnsnames.ora on this machine and check the entry for icecube_his_ownr. May differentiate them.

  Or use the host/port/Service method to create the source location to icecube_his_ownr, not the option of tns.

• Slow wifi transfer rates with Airport Extreme network.

  I have an Airport extreme Rev 5 and am trying to transfer files between 2 Mac on the network. Everything works fine, but the transfer speed is only about 2.5 meg per second. Should get more than that?

  Everything works well, I get my full bandwidth from my ISP (11.8 Mbps) when downloading via wifi, it s just during the transfer of files within the wifi network that things are slowing down.

• I am trying to execute the Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit software and I was not able to go beyond a success rate of 67%. What I am doing wrong?

  The software shows no more 'mistakes', but indicates whan failures that I try to gather information.  The software let me guess.  How can I find out what failed and why she didn't or what constitutes a mention 'not applicable' in the status report?  The software also reflects a lot more discovered computers that we actually... I don't know how I can appply any of this information to help me to conduct a review of the Microsoft software licenses.  I have what it takes to make sure I'm consistent, but so far I had a lot of trouble with this Microsoft recommended solution.

  I added to the system usernames and passwords to ensure that I can access all areas of our network that will reflect the status of Microsoft Licensing AFAIK.  I still need to add something in addition to what is discovered automatically, because I don't want to introduce another level of complexity until I know that this software is running properly.   Thanks for any help or advice you can provide.   I have already reviewed the document that describes the advice on the implementation of the plan.

  Have you also tried to scan from your Mac? Similar problems with it?

  I wonder if it could be related to the router, you have the Officejet and Mac connected for not totally supported Hello (mDNS/Multicast).

  What you can try is first to add the printer via IP. Open on your Mac system preferences and then go to print & fax. Click the Plus sign icon to add a new queue of the printer. Then choose IP - protocoll choose HP Jetdirect taken and then insert the IP address of the printer in the address field and add the printer. Now try printing with this new created printer queue.
