-Where you download Windows Installer from?
Possible causes of this error are:
-The file is corrupt, missing, or bad.
-The file is not designed for your version of Windows.
If the file or program you are trying to run is damaged or missing, Windows will be unable to run the file correctly and generates this error message. Re-download the file install the same.
In addition, see the following articles to solve the problems of Windows Installer:

On a side note, I recommend you upgrade to Service Pack 3 to continue to receive updates for Windows XP security.

KBDKYR9.dll is not a valid Win32 Application

Nicole
Hi Nicole,.
1. what changes have been made to your computer before this error message?
Follow these steps and check if the problem persists.
Step 1:
I suggest you put your computer in a clean boot State.
Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you can go ahead and disable or uninstall the same.Note: Put your computer in normal mode by following step 7 of the hyperlink after you identify the third-party application that caused the problem to occurStep 2:
It can also be caused by a virus, I wish that you run a full scan of the PC using your updated security software or a scanner using the Microsoft Safety Scanner.

Is compatiblew Lotus Smartsuite with Word 7
Get "wordpro is not a valid win32 application" when from word processor & message on time settings change when you open the worksheet, is it because of compatibility issues, or I had somethiung wrong during installation
I know Smartsuite is old hat but have used it for many years to effect gpood and want to continue if possible
If not compatible how I can role my new computer restores on Vista please
YES, IT is At first, that I have failed to install. When I put the cd in the drive, I would get an error that says "cannot access the registry" or something like that. I spent hours on the phone with lotus in India and they said they would email me how to solve the problem but have never, even after a few, follow-up phone calls. Then I found a post in line with a solution and I'm sharing it here.
I have windows 7 64 bit version and it is now installed and works very well with my client files old husbands and he is so happy. What you need to do is put the CD in the drive and then go to windows Explorer and click on the D drive (or whatever your external drive) and look at the files that are on the CD. Find the configuration file and click it. Simple as Hello - it will install. He just won "t install when you do it directly from the CD in.
I hope that others may find this useful. I'm not a technology person, so I'm glad it was so simple.

Hello
I have a Windows 8 operating system and about 2 weeks, I've loaded my computer and an error titled, "RunDLL" appears indicating:
"There was a problem starting.
C:\Windows\system32\WerConCpl.dll
C:\Windows\system32\WerConCpl.dll is not a valid Win32 application. »
This error message is always popping up to date.
More information:
-Another error will appear again once every 30 seconds or so, no matter if I press OK to close. That said, if I left my computer alone for long periods, fifty, maybe even a hundred of these messages would pile on my desk.
-Many sources I've found seem to point to the idea that the cause of this is a process, probably malware, is set to run this WerConCpl.dll file at startup. I have not all antivirus programs before that happened. But shortly after that, I installed Malwarebytes and I performed complete tests on Windows Defender and Malwarebytes. Initially, there are some questions that Malwarebytes had found and quarantined, but nothing on Windows Defender. I also tried to clean with a program of free registry: CCleaner. None of them were able to resolve the problem.
-I then went to my task manager to start Services. I disabled some third-party services that I use, but it is not necessary to start. Other than that, I have not found all third-party programs that are strange or unusual. The rest were associated with my internet (wide com) and bluetooth devices, or Microsoft and Intel.
-J' tried the solution that others used by running the command line as administrator and in typing "sfc/scannow". However, this does not work, and this error in the following line: "could not Windows Resource Protection start the repair service".
-I can't do a system restore because I had already done the restore points, which was a bad idea on my part. However, system restore services have problems with the shadow copy of Volume and not more time to work in any case.
* At the same time where this problem occurred, when looking for the solution to this problem, I found that a number of other things had stopped working on this laptop. I will not list all of them because it's a fairly large list, but this include services such as the Windows Installer Service, Windows Update services, and Windows store. I could do separate posts for all these but I feel like the root of these problems is related to this key error message.
* If this can help, at his request, I could type in a list of all service issues and error messages associated with them. In general, they can be irrelevant to the topic of this post.
Thanks for reading this,
Samxratts
Hi Sam,
First of all, I want to thank you for providing the detailed information about this.
In this scenario, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.
Method 1:
Start safe mode and check if the same problem persists. If the issue is not still in Mode without failure, then place the computer in a clean boot state and check which program third party/app is causing this problem.
Step 1: Safe boot mode.
See the following article from Microsoft Help to start safe mode.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-safe-mode
Step 2: put the computer in a clean boot state in order to determine what third party/PPP program is causing this problem.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 or Windows 8 / 8.1:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, see the "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" section in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.Method 2:
Create a new user account and check if it helps. This is to check if the problem is caused due to any user profile related issues or not.
See the following article from Microsoft Help to create a new user account.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/create-user-account#create-user-account=Windows-8
Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can better help you.

It is always sensible in this situation to achieve a malware check
Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.
http://www.precisesecurity.com/how-to/HT-smodewnet.htm
http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_freeDownload and run SuperAntiSpyware (Free Edition)
http://www.SUPERAntiSpyware.com/download.htmlSome malware is installing the entries of proxy server redirecting internet connections. If you encounter this problem step 2 see in the following link:
http://www.myantispyware.com/2011/02/21/how-to-remove-Internet-Security-Essentials-virus/Currently, this is a good combination that seems to detect more malware, but it can miss the malware as all security software can do.

I withdrew just a very good old scanner which apparently couldn't handle the recent installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2 or 3, and went with a rather nice Epson V330 Photo. I uninstalled all old software, want my images to JPEG and BMP to open in Adobe PhotoShop Elements 8 for editing and development. It is my job and my hobby and means of photography technique. I reinstalled the scanner by removing the Arcsoft software with which it has been furnished, which is not really suitable for what I do.
Now, I can not open JPEG in PhotoShop Elements 8.0 and here I get the error message:
C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\My Documents\My Pictures\img005.jpg is not a valid Win32 application
It seems to have something to do with the hack with the folder options after that I spilled the Arcsoft as any kind of primary program.
BUT I have to open JPEG files, and it MUST be in PhotoShop Elements 8, I bought. I can see, overview and could open to the limited capacity of some of the ArcSoft stuff, but I'm not interested in distance using that.
How can I get these files/folders to open in something useful? I was able to create JPEG on the new scanner, but now my computer opens not those or 'old' of my files. See the warning message.
I'm trying to uninstall all the software now and do not reinstall the stuff of Arcsoft, which would not be useful for me in any setting. But I do not think that this will be the solution, as my computer can not open these key files in PhotoShop Elements 8.0.
I think it's something I did during the passage, but I did system restore and NO RESULT. NONE!
If you open a directory of photos and go to the thumbnail view in Explorer, they display the thumbnails correctly?I think that you need to reset the file association for programs that open the image files. Try a right-click on a jpeg file and go to properties and click on the button to edit, and then designate PS elements 8 as the top program open with, and then see if it works very well. You can also check the settings in the registry for the types of image files.
