    Hello

With the help of esx.3.5.0 update 3

I have a problem where if I have a new VM to win 7 or Win 2008 r2 with or without vmtools.

If I reboot it up to 10 times without having to install anything, whether he'll join the black windows loading screen, then restart and then restart and try to start in safe mode, it still does not start.  the machine rendering it useless.

The single element only on these virtual machines is as follows.

Windows machines have 2 different virtual disks 1 on a lun, VMFS (vmfs version 3.21 c:) and a RDM VMFS (d :))

Windows 7 and 2008 R2 are not supported in this version.  5 update brings support for these two operating systems.  Go to U5, maybe it's the solution.

Would this questions we see above?

    It is unlikely.

I tested and I can vmotion live VM with records stored on 2 different LUN.

VMotion requires shared storage.  Local storage would be a problem if you tried to change hosts.

also would it be a problem if 1 store was running 3.2.1 vmfs and other store runs 3.31 and a v on each disc is used for the VM 1?

Lol this is explained in KB 1005325.

  • T7500 does not start - there are virtual offline or missing drives with preserved cache

Dell 7500 PERC 6 / i controller, poweredge extended RAID with the device boot-SATA SSD and SATA RAID 1 data drives. A restart of an Acrobat patch system stops start after charges Poweredge and this error - ago offline or missing of the virtual drives with preserved cache, press a key to enter the configuration utility. In light of the not the choice I enter the configuration utility. Initially, the SSD has emerged as a foreign configuration but after several attempt to import the configuration, I decided clearly and followed an article on adding back as a RAID 0, but not initialize it, but that no longer works. Don't know if the drive is dead or what since I can't get out of BIOS. Always goes to the error. I guess I have to clear the preserved cache but do not want to lose the mirror. Posted the same problem yesterday, but he does not appear in the forum so I don't know if there is a filter or something. Need help - high-end system for FEA analysis and is necessary.

    Thanks in advance

Figured it out. Dumped the cache on the controller and added back the lack of table, but it has not initialized. Change the boot device in the BIOS of the controller to the 'new' table; somehow the old VD1 became VD0 and re-added VD0 became VD1 and restarted. System came fine. No idea what caused it, but at least now it's back to work.

  • Network card does not start on a Virtual Machine

    Hello!

I recently installed VMWare Server 2 on a 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003 Standard. I created the first Virtual Machine to run Windows Server 2003 Standard (32-bit). However, when I connect to the virtual computer, the network adapter is there, but "can't start".

I set up the network card to be filled so that the virtual machine can have its own IP address and do not share with the host. I intend setting up a total of 4 virtual machines on this host, but want to get the first configured correctly first.

What else should I check to make sure that the virtual machine can use the network to access the network card?

    Hi JT,.

    Welcome to the forums.

Did you install VMware tools in your virtual machine?

I just bought a new desktop, Acer M7300 and upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. (I also have exprerienced the same prome with Vista Home Premium).

When I start Dreamweaver, nothing seems to happen. When I checked in the Task Manager there is a process that has caught about 40 m of memory.

I tried to uninstall/reinstall with a new download. I also deleted all files remaining after uninstall.

I tried to run administrator and various versions of XP compatibility

I ran the Acer recommended in the FAQ updates.

He has not got to the point where it installs the personal .dat files so no need to seek bribery there.

Well it's certainly not a performance problem.  Have you tried running DW in XP compatibility mode?

My Dell XPS 1530 stopped working after installing vista sp2. He gave me instructions for installation, step 1 of 3 and it went all that they way up to step 3 of 3 and said its closure and never came back...
Please let me know, how to start the laptop.

    Hello GoogleGuru,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers forum.
Because your computer does not start until the desktop computer, we were able to try the system restore to a point before you install SP2.
Thus, with the computer is shut down. Press the power button, then press on and press F8 until you see the startup options, and then it will give you the ability to boot to the last known good configuration. (select it).

If this does not work, you can try to boot from the Vista DVD and use the recovery console to perform a restore of the system to another point in time.

    Post back with the results.

Two disks hard two Vista does not start

For large computing needs, I combined two software Vista, two memoirs, two hard drives, the work display card and sound card.  A hard disk as Primary Master IDE has perfectly my current programs, Office 2007, data and functions.  The SATA drive has the space of files I need and a disabled Vista.  The computer starts with the SATA HD Vista does not work and stops at a missing file.  I do F12 and select the hard disk IDE startup.  I tried several solutions, for example: Startup Repair, recovery disk, installation DVD of Vista, repair, BIOS F2 re boot choice and sequence, does not list the IDE drive as a choice, tried to remove the disabled Vista, all the solutions in the forum, Ms.  Not solved.

For months in the auto-update feature, the two .NET Framework 1.1 and 3.5 will not install.

Please tell me solutions to correct these errors for .NET and start-up.

  • Computer does not start after the screen of the bios, Compaq Presario SR1023WM

Ok. Trying to fix a friend's computer and seem to have met a strange barrier.

Problem: The computer does not start after the bios screen.

Details: When you turn on the computer, the compaq logo with intel inside is and has the < F1 Setup > and < F10 System Recovery > options listed as well.  And that's it as far as the computer becomes.  After that the computer just locked up, no work of buttons on the keyboard lights keyboard ect ect.  I tried the puree on the F1 key, as soon as I turn on the computer and I can handle so he can say * entering setup * but it freezes again after this point.  I already tried to eliminate the possible sources of the problem, removed all expansion cards, HDD and Dvd Rom module only disconnected, only memory (256 MB ddr 2700), power, vga and keyboard connected.  Ive also used the jumper on the motherboard to clear the cmos, hoping that would solve the problem without success.  I tried using a different memory stick and different memory as well...  Tried to use both a ps2 and a usb keyboard... Ive even tried pulling the rider for the protection of the bios password (even if she did not have a password on it, just try everything I can think of).

The installed bios version is 3.1, and that's all that I know on the computer at this point, except that the website tells me to him.

I'm basically at a loss on this one, so if someone feels scroll line-by-line of their brains on this one, I'd be very happy.

I have a pretty strong understanding of computer repair, so feel free to give me something to try.

If you need more information out of me, let me know as well.

Try to clear the CMOS again but this time remove CMOS battery and hold the power button on a few seconds. Replace the battery, then try to start back to the top.

At the back of the pc is the condition of the PSU led green or flashing?

I need to save files are important on the xp computer is it possible to save them?

I met this BSOD error several times, and the following fix usually (not always) allows the hard disk to be read by the system...

-Boot your system and access the BIOS Setup
-It will vary with different systems, but try to press "F2", "F10" or "delete".
-If you need help with this step, let me know the model of the system, and I'll see what I can come up with
-In the configuration of the BIOS, looking something like "Device Boot Configuration"
-Go to the hard disk configuration and change the current option
-Here are the most common options that I can think of:
-SATA IDE, AHCI, (newer systems have more options, such as IRRT)
-If the current option is "SATA", change it to "AHCI" or "IDE".
-If the current option is 'DCIS', change it to "IDE", etc...

It's just a quick run through a possible fix, without knowing the details of your system!  If you need more detailed help, I would like to know the details of the system, and we'll see what we can do!
