Machines Windows does not start with 2 virtual disks different on 2 different

Hello

With the help of esx.3.5.0 update 3

I have a problem where if I have a new VM to win 7 or Win 2008 r2 with or without vmtools.

If I reboot it up to 10 times without having to install anything, whether he'll join the black windows loading screen, then restart and then restart and try to start in safe mode, it still does not start.  the machine rendering it useless.

The single element only on these virtual machines is as follows.

Windows machines have 2 different virtual disks 1 on a lun, VMFS (vmfs version 3.21 c:) and a RDM VMFS (d :))

Is it a problem to have 2 different discs with 2 different stores file types?

Would this questions we see above?

Also, I thought that you might not? VMotion/clone? a virtual machine if she drives in 2 different places?

I tested and I can vmotion live VM with records stored on 2 different LUN.

Windows 7 and 2008 R2 are not supported in this version.  5 update brings support for these two operating systems.  Go to U5, maybe it's the solution.

Laughing out loud

Would this questions we see above?

It is unlikely.

Also, I thought that you might not? VMotion/clone? a virtual machine if she drives in 2 different places?

VMotion requires shared storage.  Local storage would be a problem if you tried to change hosts.

also would it be a problem if 1 store was running 3.2.1 vmfs and other store runs 3.31 and a v on each disc is used for the VM 1?

Lol this is explained in KB 1005325.

Good luck!

    Hello

This error comes if the operating system or any boot device is not at the start of the network, where the system tries to boot from the network or Boot Rom. seems the BIOS setting is lost. To solve the problem. Enter the BIOS by pressing F10 or F1 and reach the start (on the top with the right arrow key) tab. In the Startup tab, there should be an option related to the priority of the device, select first boot as drive boot HARD settigs, and then save by pressing F10, select Yes for confirmation.

Now a PC will reboot and hope that the windows starts.

  • Windows does not start with Sansa Fuze plugged

That's all.  The machine hangs at the bios screen indefinitely until I unplug the "rocket".  I checked my CMOS, the "rocket" is not listed as device startup.  There is no "USB Legacy" option in the CMOS (as I read to check).  Reader priorities are defined on my first hard drive and CDROM as the second, all the others 'off '.  I can't enter CMOS with the trendy "rocket".  Otherwise, the machine is very good.

I don't know, disconnect the "rocket" before starting, but I would like to have the "rocket" moored permanently to the machine via a USB docking station.  I don't want to remove the "rocket" whenever I start my computer.  (It's certainly a hardware problem, not Windows because there is regarding)

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

It looks like although there is no legacy usb option in your bios something it is always the origin of the problem. You can check to see if there is an update of the bios available for your motherboard that can solve the problem, but it's kind of a long shot. you see the problem with any other USB mass storage device? as you use the MTP or MSC mode on the "rocket"? If you have not tried both I could and see if you get the same result.

  • Satellite Pro 480CDT does not start with mounted HARD disk?

    Hello
I have tried several disks in my Satellite Pro 480CDT, but none of them starts. The screen stays black and the power led blinks orange (long, short, short, short, short, long, short, short). If I drive the machine past the on-screen "In Touch With tomorrow, TOSHIBA. He sees Windows CD-ROM or a floppy disk. I tried with 6 hard drives all below to 6 GB and AFAIK the work. I tried with another 480CDT a 220CS and a 2140CDS. Surely all hard drives and computers laptops have the same flaw? What I need to update BIOS or something as none of the drives are original for the machines.
    Help, please!
    Thank you

    John.

    Hi John

I'm afraid of nothing that you can do everything alone. When the electronic power supply detects a power problem, it sends the hex code. In this case you should contact the technicians. They can read this code and will know what the problem is here.

Just FYI: I discovered this disc HARD original for this unit has the P000244000 part number. Maybe it will help you get another HARD drive for testing.

Sorry I can't tell you more info on this good old classic.

Open RUN (win + x key) and enter: MSINFO32

If you can not enter the BIOS at startup so be sure that your keyboard is plugged into a USB 2 port.  Otherwise some time in Windows 8 go to Advanced Options.  See the image below.

  • I have a Toshiba Satellite A85 with XP Home Edition series. Windows does not start. At startup I get Toshiba logo then a black screenwith cursor upper left. Can I save it?

Toshiba Satellite A85 Celeron with XP Home edition. Windows does not start. I have Toshiba logo screen, then it turns into a black screen with the upper left corner of the cursor. I have the recovery disk. Is it possible to record HD without re-formatting and losing all data?

    Thank you;

    Lobo77

If you run the Toshiba recovery application, you will lose all your data.  As indicated in the warning, this application will restore the computer back to wherever it was when it was first delivered by the factory.

Without other complementary diagnostic information, it is difficult to determine what is happening.  Pressing the key (do not hold) of F8 beginning immediately after that the sequence of power should bring you to the Advanced Boot Options menu.  Try again then press repeatedly the key rather than pressing on and now.

The recovery CD Toshiba, you have probably does not allow a "repair installation".  Contact Toshiba to see if they will provide you with a suitable CD.

Given the fact that you can get a useful place when you start with the Toshiba Recovery DVD, my guess is that the computer is OK but that the hard drive has failed - or maybe more likely - the startup information is damaged so that it does not start.  If you have access to a computer equipped with a burner, download and create a bootable Windows CD.

There are a number of available bootable CD which include various recovery and diagnostic tools.  You'll have to do some research to find out how to use the tools.

    Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows
    Ultimate Boot CD
    Hiren BootCD

If you feel overwhelmed by the tools and I just want back the data, and then use the Toshiba Recovery DVD, make you a Knoppix CD and use this key to your data, preferably on a network connection.

If all this sounds like too much for you - and there is no shame in admitting that--take the laptop for a good local computer repair shop (not a type BigBoxStoreUSA or rather GeekSquad) and ask them to check it out and make sure to recover your data before anything else.

Error code 0 xC0000001 on Asus Vivo tab Rt with RT Windows does not start

    Hi guys,.

I hope you can help, I bought an Asus Vivo tab RT with month windows RT 13 there, I used it only for the first two weeks after I bought and then travel. I went back to find he does not start and going to a blue with 0 xC0000001 error screen after several attempts of the operating system on your PC could not start, so it needs to be repaired.

It is now one month out of warranty and ASUS refuse to provide support for me, I used the recovery media to reset the Tablet, but still he starts to this message.

I'm not sure what I can do, I'm totally stuck. Can anyone offer some advice on what I can try? anything via the command prompt?

At this point I have an expensive paper weight.

    Thanks in advance

    Joel

    Hello Joel,

Usually, the error code 0 xC0000001 indicates that winload.exe in C:\Windows\System32\Boot could not be found or is corrupted. This could be the result of a corrupted download, before the creation of the operating system.

Since Windows RT came pre-installed and require installation media to retrieve the device, you may need to contact Asus support for assistance.

I'm really sorry not to be useful in this regard.

  • Tecra A6 does not start with battery only

    Hi all
I'm having a strange problem with a Tecra A6 I picked up recently at the refurb because it does not start with a battery only: it starts only when / sector is also connected, but eventually DΘmarrer on battery alone (and works fine) with the power cord removed shortly after pressing the power button. It's just on battery alone, I get no answer by pressing the power on button (so the power outlet must be set at this first stage or I don't get anything).

Now I'm wondering if maybe it's the battery voltage? It seems that there are 2 options for this model, a 10.8 v and the other at 11.1V. With loaded Windows and Hardware Monitor reports running the battery is at 0% wear level and cool until completely (so I don't think that the battery is faulty), but it indicates that the battery is running at * 11, 1V, * but the battery installed is actually the * model 10.8v*. Could that prevent any power on only to batteries?

More information on the model I have:
    Tecra A6-PTA60E-0EJ013EN
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 Ghz
    2 GB of Ram.

Thanks in advance for any help on this one. Essential, I would like to know is if I have a 11.1V battery to run this model correctly (and get it) on battery alone. If the voltage makes no difference so I guess it must be a weird motherboard problem and I need bother not buy a new battery.

    > Will have to buy another battery and see if the same thing happens (I'll know then if it is the motherboard), but in the meantime if anyone can let me know if the voltage is serious I would appreciate it.

To my knowledge, the batteries for Tecra A6 should take in charge 10.8V
There's piles more strong for example 5200mAh but the voltage must be the same 10.8

  • Satellite A200 PSAF3A does not start with 4 GB

    Hello

    I have a model A200 PSAF3A-0QH01N.
I've been led to believe that it supports 4 GB of RAM but does not start with 4 GB, freezes at the toshiba logo.
Also have A100 running new 4 GB RAM works very well in this machine. Have updated BIOS did not help.

    Any advice?

According to THIS specification that your laptop can be upgraded up to 4 GB of RAM.

Downstairs you can also find the part number of the compatible RAM. List of the memory modules are tested and working with your laptop.

  • Equium M40X: I get to the banner of Toshiba, but Windows does not start

When I start my 2 year old Toshiba Satellite M40X, I get to the banner of Toshiba, but Windows does not start. I tried using the recovery CD and it does not either.

Any suggestions as to what could be the problem?

    Hello

What do you mean with the banner of Toshiba? Did you mean the Toshiba splash screen that appears at the begging of the boot?

Equium M40X successfully passed this screen?

If the laptop is unable to switch to the home Toshiba screen then I presume that the BIOS has detected a hardware problem.
In this case primarily the motherboard fails

But if the laptop is able to spend the Toshiba start screen, the motherboard must be ok and only a 3rd device malfunction as HARD drive could cause this problem.

  • Windows does not start after the update...

Hope someone can help with this,

I just installed the update sp1 for my computer for Windows Vista Premium Home dir all installed with no problems, but when I restarted my pc, Windows wouldn't start. The only thing that is on display is a black screen with Windows Error Recovery on top, then he said "Windows does not start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. I tried to restart it in different ways, but nothing. Then he said: I have to insert my OS drive to try to fix, but that's not even start. Everyone knows about this problem? This has happened right after that I installed the update...

    L.Butler,
Are you able to boot from your Vista DVD or recovery partion and run the Startup Repair tool?  If you do not have a Vista disc so make sure that your computer is configured to boot from the CD drive before booting from the hard drive.  Once you start with support for Vista select the "Repair your computer" option and first run "Startup Repair".  If that is not correct the problem then boot with Vista support and select the option "System Restore" and choose a date prior to the update install.
Once you are able to boot normally again, then I suggest that you are looking for virus\malware.  SP1 was released in April 2008.  So if you install earlier means there may be other problems on your system.  If you have a backup of your current personal data then I recommend to do a clean restore to install\factory.  Then immediately install antivirus software, and then do all Windows updates before installing other software.
