  I have CS3 on my computer that I bought a while back (directly through Adobe).  I also have a CS6 version that my business partner bought for me on his account. Yesterday when I signed up for an individual account of CC I registered through my account information and electronic mail.  But when I run the Installer app CC, he wants a verification e-mail to my business partner.  I can only assume that Adobe upgraded me with its CS6 and not my CS3 version.  I've since uninstalled CS6 and want to start over, but online chat and phone support did not help.  Lose valuable time.  Help, please!

  Please rename the OOBE folder from the following location

  After you rename the folder OOBE please reboot the machine and then launch the application once more.

  It is built to do so... there is no need to validate the account authorization to use. However, among the recovery methods requires that the account have already been validated in order to recover the account...   There is nothing you can do. With your situation, the "original sin" was the erroneous use of an incorrect e-mail address originally from BBID account. There is no way now to "fix" that. But, refer (just in case):

  What I predict will be necessary, is that in fact WIPE you your device, then create a new (and valid) BBID account as part of the initial installation, and then reconfigure manually everything on the device as if it were brand new.
