E2500 problems

Hi, I just bought a router wireless E2500.  I can't find a way to access the settings of the router.  I went to 198.168.1.1 but it wont let me connect.  I found suggestions to use name of username/password: admin/admin / admin, Admin/admin and none of these work.  When you try to set up using the CD, it is said that it does not find the router.  I tried to reset the router/modem several times, I did the reset of the router, my DNS to hot flashes, nothing works.  Yet I can still connect to the internet from two computers using a wired connection.  Also, I do not see any wireless network current (at least called linksisXXXXX where XXXXX is the last 5 characters of the serial number).  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you

Hi DraegonX. Reset you the router by pressing the reset under the device for 30 seconds? Please press and hold when unit is turned on. Release the button and unplug the unit. I asked, becausem others confuse the WPS button as the reset button. Please check the picture for the right pair.

    I have a LG G3 D852 (Canadian model)

Anyone know how config E2500 shows network 5 GHz on an a/b/g/n/ac, dual band supported smartphone?

Possible that the devices are not compatible with the router of this model.

You may contact Linksys and ask about it. It's an older generation router so maybe a newer generation may need to be looked at.

    Good luck.

  • G60 - 228CA: unable to connect to the Linksys E2500 router with laptop G60

    Hello

I hope someone can help because I've been through the forums and I will have no chance to solve my problem.  I bought a new router (Linksys E2500) and my laptop (G60 - 228 CA) HP can detect the router but just failed to connect to the internet.

I tried to diagnose all the problems which have been proposed, but that did not help.  I restarted the router, nothing helps.  I tried to download and install a new driver to replace the old (Atheros AR5007 802. 11 b / g WiFi Adapter) but still had no luck.

Really not sure where go from here so looking for help solve this problem.

    Thank you

    Hello:

Verify that the driver you have installed is actually that of 2011.

If not, go to the device, right click on the atheros wireless card, Manager select uninstall and if there is a box to uninstall driver for check, check.

Reboot and try the driver I posted again.

If the date and the driver version is what is indicated on the driver file, then unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.

  • E2500 continues to change the IP address of hosting my DVR security cameras

Recently trashed a UPS serving the E2500, brief now any power surge or glitch causes the router to assign a new IP to a connected ethernet security DVR.  Is it possible to assign the DVR a permanent IP address for other computers/devices on the local network must not be continuously updated to access the DVR?

I don't have the same gui as you version but I think that the dhcp reservation is under status, LAN, then feservations dhcp.  If you put it there it should get the same ip every time the router restarts unless you make a zero factory which destroys all configs. If it does not come back, but it should solve your problem.

  • E2500 Cameras IP remote works only outside

I install my E2500 and D-Link Wireless ip cameras to see them outside. I have install cameras to have static IPS 192.168.1.137 and 192.168.1.138 and to transmit these IPs to 802 and 804 ports respectively. While I am on my home network I can hit my routers external IP address 20 x X9.1xx.2 X: 802 and 20 x X9.1xx.2 X: 804 and see the live stream of the cameras. Outside of my network can't connect to these addresses and see my live stream.

Here are the screenshots of what might be relevant, let me know if there is anything else, you will see that it would help.

Also, I was on a Linksys WRT54GL before with the same parameters (and same modem), and I was able to access the cameras on external networks very well.

Then I realized what the problem was. When I configure a static IP address for my camera, in the settings of the device there is an area of default gateway I left empty. Plugging 192.168.1.1 into said box enabled him to be seen from the outside. Sorry for the confusion, I hope this can help someone in the future.

  • E2500 router communicates only with HP printer cable.

I have a HP color LaserJet 2605dn printer and router e2500. I decided to run an Ethernet cable from the router to the printer instead of via the USB port of the laptop that works fine for a couple of years.

Is the green light on the router would be flashing quick or light yellow on the printer. Guess there is a communication problem. After some reading material at random on Web sites and messages, I manually changed the IP address of the printer: 192.168.1.110 (that is outside the range of the DHCP users (6) quantity, which starts at 192.168.1.100)

Leave the configuration window Panel > devices Printers & I added a new "Standard TCP/IP Port" to match the one I put manually (192.168.1.110).

I varied results when I ping this new IP address while that the yellow light on the Ethernet port on the printer flashes quickly. Sometimes I will have 4 packets that have been sent in the ping also received, sometimes none are received, sometimes 1 and sometimes 2 packets are received. For example, ping results are contradictory and I don't know why that should be.

I guess that none of my configurations 'Basic Wireless Settings' and "Wireless Security" have an impact here. After all, I'm trying only to communicate with my printer wirelessly via my laptop to the printer via a network cable. Also, I'm not a very technical person. I managed to get this far, but I'm at a loss for what keeps my router to communicate with the printer of mine. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Using the printer management page, make sure you on the JetDirect Automatic for networking information. If your automatic support of networking, it must acquire an IP address from the router if the LAN cable is in good working condition. Make a print on the printer configuration page to see what IP address it acquired from the router.

If you decide you want to put a static IP address on the printer, make sure you on the JetDirect information
Manual and instead use 192.168.1.110 tends in the poole DHCP address, try using 192.168.1.26. You will need configure the printer driver in windows accordingly to point to the IP address.

  • E2500 share directories or files

I found some similar topics that really does not solve my problem. I replaced a WRT54G with an E2500. The wired PC runs XP SP3 THAT, wireless computers are (1) v. 7 and XP SP3 (1). Print sharing works well, but all the files on the "host" PC shares fail. I ran "net share" disabled all of the directories on the 'host' and even wireless computers, then restarted all. The Win7 PC can see the only directory that I put in place to share, but when I try to open it, I get a message that the directory is inaccessible (maybe due to permissions) and «there is not enough available to process the command of storage server» XP PC wireless gives the same error, but can access the printer and see the directory to be shared on the 'host '.

Note - I do not disable the printer sharing before restarting, and if I put in the old WRT54G, the file and print sharing work correctly. I know I'm missing something simple, but I can't make it work. I also doesn't change anything about the homegroup on any PC.

This could have something to do with the IRPStackSize registry entry on the computer that is located at the lowest. Check the resolution from this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/106167. • Inbound/outbound journaling broken on Firmware E2500 1.0.0.5

Have some of these routers internally so as to various clients.  The incoming and outgoing newspapers appear white, even when there are 10-20 computers using the Internet and I know there is traffic generated.  DHCP and security connection still works fine.

Any ideas?  I have also a few E1200s on the latest firmware that connect very well... I just have problems with the E2500s.

Once you press the reset button of the router, all settings on your router will be deleted.

  • E2500 blocking internet access to a SINGLE site

Site problem, it is my public blog, for more than 4 years, is operated by a third-party web hosting provider.

The site is always accessible from the outside of my house, however, when using my home wifi and/or ethernet - this is the ONLY site that is NOT accessible.   Navigation screen doesn't change - just hangs waiting for a response.  Cannot access multiple devices at home - computer, laptop, desktop, android phones.

Hosting provider directed me to ISP.   The ISP is troubleshooting and suspect that the Linksys router is the problem.

Ran diagnostics on Linksys - Ping to the problem site shows 100% packet loss and Traceroute shows timeout.

Once again, all websites are accessible with a quick response time.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • 5 GHz WiFi on E2500 has stopped working

I had my E2500 with 2.4 and 5 Ghz WiFis with different names, works very well for months until yesterday 5 GHz WiFi stop working and I got my PC back to 2.4 ghz. When I go to the page of the router-> status-> wireless networks in the 5 GHz network shows an empty address, channel by n/a and the width of the channel by n/a, while 2.4 has fill out them correctly. I tried using different settings for WiFi, but nothing has worked. I also tried resetting the device and update the firmware. How can I know that the 5 GHz interface is not faulty and the cause of the problem?

I found a solution to my problem: I came back the firmware to the previous version (I had upgraded to the latest version 2.0 front) and now the radio works fine. It seems that the firmware has not been properly tested.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Unable to connect to the Internet on E2500

    Hello

I see that my router E2500 is giving a wireless signal strong but can't seem to get websites to load. I connected my computer to my router and can connect to the router configurations (both wired and wireless), but still cannot load all of the websites. I know that's not my internet access in the House because the other ethernet ports in the work of fine house for surfing the net. Have updated the firmware of Ver.1.0.07 that was as it should be and I have customized my wireless setting and see those who have taken effect, but I'm still not able to load other sites. I have also reset the router for my troubleshooting, but still it has not made a difference. Can anyone offer any other suggestions of things to try as it looks like everything works well, but it's just not coming through the internet.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

    Hello

I wanted just to update everyone as a result of this post about what I found and what has helped solve my problem with the connection to the internet. The default IP address that comes with the E2500 - 192.168.1.1 has the same address IP that my service providers modem/router has been assigned has resulted the E2500 not being is not able to connect to the internet. Once I changed the IP address of the E2500 details of the internet that I had listed in my previous post, as it appears incomplete were all filled and I could begin to use the Internet again.

Thanks to all those who have offered possible things to check. I hope my experience can be useful to others as something to look for when troubleshooting.
