E330 - battery drains, need details on which devices and services to turn off

Hello guys!

It's a well known problem that in some cases the battery drains while the unit is turned off. I read the forums and know I have to disable some devices. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to / how to find them on my laptop.

I have a 8.1 Windows freshly installed on my PC, no bloatware on it (yet). So everything I do I do it myself, by the Manager of devices etc. But where to start? I know my laptop automatically starts up when I "opened". This doesn't happen, if I remove the battery and put it again. So there must be a small current flowing? Maybe it's my guilty?

Please help me guys CIHI.

Thank you very much in advance! Good day!

Show of rapid tests in the BIOS disable "Wake On Lan on battery", keep it on AC only or turn off completely. Helped me a lot. But there is still some small brains. Well. Nothing is perfect.

  • I'll randomly hear the sound "budunk" as I am connect or disconnect a device, and the screen turns off for a second. Why is this happening?

I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit and I use my LCD TV as a monitor, connected via RGB connection.

If I happen to watch a video in full screen, it will kick of the full screen mode and sometimes, but not always, a window will open on Microsoft Silverlight.  I've updated to the latest version of Silverlight yesterday, and now when I go full screen, audio and video do not always match.

In fact, the problem has been resolved.  The problem was that I had chose the tv as my monitor, but that he had unconsciously chosen to extend the desktop on the monitor to the laptop, so that the two pilots of the monitor were not cooperating for some reason any.  When I chose to just disable the monitor laptop in settings, since I was not using it at all, the problem is completely resolved itself, and now there is only an entry for a monitor in Device Manager.  The sound was done when I opened up the laptop monitor tried to kick, as if I'd opened the cover, which I think has not been closed firmly, so he thinks randomly there.

  • my battery drains very quickly even when not in service, what should I do to fix that?

my battery drains very quickly even when not in service, what should I do to fix that?

    Hello rabeeha hafeez robi.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that your iPhone battery has been draining more than expected. I use my iPhone all day, so I know how important the battery life can be. Surely, I understand your concern, as much as it seems as if the phone is not in use.

First, I recommend that you check your settings to see what is using your battery life. You can do this by going to settings > battery. In some cases substantive activity of the app may affect the battery life. This means that the battery is used by an application while it is in the background. The link below provides additional information and advice to help maximise your battery performance.

  • The windows of the bar of Windows are already a form of tabs, so I need them in Firefox. How can I turn off completely from the 23 of Firefox?

    RE: TABS ARE WINDOWS!
The windows bar already functions as a tab bar. These tabs are called "windows". So, I find windows superfluous Firefox tab. How can I turn off completely from the 23 of Firefox? I don't need to what are essentially the bars of TWO Windows covering the entire width of the image of my screen! I already have a Windows bar at the bottom of my screen, and if I really wanted to, I could change ITS position towards the top of the screen, so that it would LOOK at the windows of Firefox tabs bar. Firefox TABS are, essentially, a SECOND bar Windows superfluous.

Here are my reasons why I prefer to use Mozilla's Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. I love and admire Firefox intended to Mozilla on good security for Personas Firefox Add-on and for free use of Firefox in the Add on Ad-Block, which, as you know, has the merit of separate to reduce the size of the screen - the last is my reason for wanting to get rid of "windows" Firefox SUPERFLUOUS tabs bar. I'm terribly sick companies forcing bars (most representative of marketing campaigns, trying to sell me something) in my browser (and in my throat) whenever I download something. (In case you haven't guessed, I have deliberately talking about your bar of Firefox tabs as a '' windows' tabs Firefox bar', because the TABS are WINDOWS!)

You can also have an addon to open new tabs in a new window.

  • which is updated when you turn off your computer

I got a problem with the connection to the internet and also using IE9 when I could. I solved my problem of the internet first by disabling my FIOS router wireless can will turn off PC and when starting, I first turn on my computer desktop and then put on my FIOS wireless router after waiting for about 20 seconds.  IE9 still has problems of since I installed Firefox and it works fine. When I had problems with getting Internet from my office, I was able to access the internet through my laptop using the same wireless router FIOS. I know that I was going through the FIOS wireless router because I could see the correct SSID number. So my question is what happens when off their workstation (which is updated). My desktop is Windows Vista Home Premium and using a wireless router FIOS I know is not (FIOS router) at the origin of the problem.

When you stop your desktop computer, how could anything updated? This is the stop.

  • Need details on the tablespace and storage used by the queue oracel

    Hi all

I'm working on the lines of the Oracle. I need some details about the storage space of the queues.

    1. is it mandatory that we have space separate for the queue table? What will happen if we run out of table space? Lose us data?
    2. how much storage space is required for a queue of the oracle?

    Please suggest me on this.

    Hello

No - it is not necessary to separate queue objects, you can do however purely for the simplicity of space management, but is certainly not a requirement. Space missing in a storage space for a queue is not different to press space to a normal process - Oracle will trigger an error ("ORA-xxxxx cannot extend... ") and the process trying to NQ to the queue will fail or do what it has been coded so that error." So, if your code NQ did something stupid mistake so I guess it's possible loss of data in case of error (not only exhausted space) but in general I'm expecting the process to report the error and stop.

    946965 wrote:

It is depends entirely on how you plan to use the queues, queues are not generally intended for long-term data storage, they do not perform well for this - they work better with the message in. message on (enqueue | dequeue) so unless you intend to leave messages in the queue for long periods of time I expect no significant space consumption. But only you guys can really work it to according to the type of user data and how long messages remain in the queue.

There are some useful notes on My Oracle Support on the management of the space occupied by the queues which is very important for performance, for example
How can I reduce the high watermark (HWM) of advanced queue objects? (Doc ID 421474.1)

    Hi KirstyMoore,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2 when was the last time it was working fine?

    Method 1

Check and make sure that you have correctly configured the audio device by default on the computer.

    (a) click Startand then click Control Panel.

    (b) in the Control Panel, double-click sounds and Audio devices.

    (c) in the Audio tab, click the audio device you want in the default feature list which is under audio playback.

    Method 2

I also suggest that you download and install the latest audio drivers on the computer by visiting the sound card manufacturer or computer manufacturer's website and check if it helps.

  • How can I determine which applications and processes are turned on at first upward and how can I keep their autostart?

My office of gateway using Windows XP takes a long time to start.  I hear a lot of activity because it starts and after a very long time, I can really use it.  I would like to know what process or applications start automatically and then determine which ones to move away and how.

If you were to Google something like:

    XP boot manager

You will get hits with links to managers of free starter like this simple:

    http://www.MLIN.NET/StartupCPL.shtml

Another popular and free tool with a built-in startup manager (and other interesting things) are CCleaner which you can download here:
    http://www.Piriform.com/CCleaner

CCleaner allows you to manage most of the startup items and also do some other operations oriented cleaning.  Some people will you recommend is not to use the registry functions in CCleaner to avoid these features for now.  I have no problem with it for me, but sometimes it's a contentious issue, I prefer to avoid as much as possible!

You can uninstall CCleaner later if you don't like it.

You can disable the startup items, see how things look and if you want - you just delete them (or leave it off).

After launch of CCleaner and see what startup items you can disable/remove, if you are still not sure of your startup items, follow these steps:

Run CCleaner and choose Tools, boot and bottom right, click on the button "Save to text file" to save the startup information in a text - something like startup.txt file

Save the boot information text file on your desktop (or somewhere you can find it) open the text file with an editor (Notepad or WordPad), select all (Ctrl-A), copy text, all the text selected in the Windows Clipboard (Ctrl-C) and then paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the startup list to come back here in your next reply and maybe someone can tell you another thing to consider.

A more revealing startup Analyzer is Autoruns which will allow the manipulation of all sectors of boot and does not actually install anything:
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

I have zero startup items on my computer, so none of this is important to me!

  • Why is it so hard to find an answer in the help of Firefox (704 returns does NOT help me answer my simple question ONE, which was: How can I turn off the feature that keeps blocking each download I try to?)?

FF10. Whenever I try to download a file, it blocks the transaction with a Ribbon of Windows Internet Explorer style in the upper part of the window. It's very annoying. How do I turn it off? I can't browse 700 + feedback on the help search.

I can't now to reproduce the problem. It seems to have disappeared on its own. She gave me a small strip in the upper part of the window below the menu bar of Firefox. I think the banner said "Firefox has blocked a website tries to download a file on your computer" and there is a button on the right marked "allow." I thought that there was a framework for that somewhere and the other to block redirects and now I can't find neither. I got v.9.0 and he auto-mis to day to 10.

  • How to set QoS priority by device and service on C7000 Modem/Router?

I would like to set the priority to my VOIP (OOMA) connected to the Ethernet port. Don't see anyway in the Engineering menu to access QOS, even if the item appears on other models of Nighthawk...

    Appreciate any advice.

    Hello ceeteebee

QoS is not apart of the C7000 if you want this feature, you do not buy a cable modem and use one of the routers as the R7000 Nighthawk.

  • Updated to 1.3.1 and now cannot turn off or reboot the phone without traction battery

    Any help would be appreciated.

I had this problem too.  I had to reset my phone using webOSDoctor for it to be fixed.  Make sure that you back up EVERYTHING before doing so.  Do NOT rely on your palm profile. It's a joke.

  • Battery drain incredible during the eve logged onto a windows Tablet 8 clovertrail

I do the exasperating experience draining the battery during 'connected' on a windows Tablet 8, Samsung Smart PC 500 T. I bought it 2.5 months ago, the problem has been for more than a month, after a few big OS against MS updates... I tried to diagnose any way I can, but this it it, thank you, not interested by this day before thing all connected, will no longer be a Guinea pig. I want to just turn it off.
-How to disable connected standby mode? Don't tell me 'it is part of the windows experience' blah blah 'experience' is half cooked so far... (to put it very diplomatically). I want to close standby connected, completely - and use the sleep windows 7-style good, old, normal. Is there a service, the registry key, all I can do to disable the standby connected?
Connected standby mode, I've got battery drain with flight mode, no user apps open (anything that can be taken out of service - shutted down), most apps metro removed, only 4 left (metro IE10, Windows Store, music, Photos, S-camera), no nfc, no bluetooth, no usb, no keyboard accessories don't dock, all the stuff from Task Scheduler not only not allowed out the computer , but disabled at all, no auto sync anything in widndows 8 (not sync tiles, tips of user account, no email push in outlook 2013), no auto updates of OS, whatever it is (except for samsung s-implementation to date clean service - weather, it was long before and it has not caused any problems) anytvirus, disabled windows Defender...
Nothing interesting in the event viewer, with which it is related to food filtered logs of the system...
I mean, the man... What the...? ! How to find that something that drains my battery? I was watching cycles cpu (Task Manager and ProcessExplorer) and it is not conclusive, the most programs is OS stuff... some "material interruptions and DMCs, but not nearly enough to cause this brain drain...
I suspect drivers wifi a little... some weird newspapers I saw in the viewer the same... But I won't standby connected . WiFi off. I even checked, I disabled the wifi driver in Device Manager and on the standby battery drain connected yet,
Yes, I updated everywhere. I would even say updated too much em... It works well in advance.
Some powercfg - batteryreport (s) in the links below. Well Yes, played with powercfg /waketimers, power of Device Manager and parameters of wake, powercfg /devicequery wake_armed (everything is turned off, nothing here awhile loong) and powercfg-query. Clean.
On these photos of powercfg - batteryreport, the columns are date/type of activity/lasted for how long/battery drain in %/battery drain in mWH. Which suggests you take a look at the last. That's a record... of 18% in 4 hours battery drain. "Sleeping."
The Tablet is lying on my desk, just sitting there, doing so I have no idea what, and 4 hours more later boom, where all this battery juice went?
! I have a problem with the windows start button, it fires in my bag accidentally when I wear the autour tablet, but that's a separate problem how disable this button windows at home. The backup battery drain is a different thing.
    Much more serious.
    So:
    QUESTION 1:
-How to disable this thing crappy connected standby that drains my battery and makes me crazy?
    QUESTION 2:
s ' it is not possible to disable directly, how to go around that? I don't have a button for this. Saying what to do with the windows registry is good enough.
    QUESTION 3:
-If connected standby cannot be disabled in some way - how to diagnose what app/process uses cycles cpu, battery juice? I've been everywhere ProcessExplorer and observer of events, but maybe you know something I don't know...
And please spare me the clean boot suggestions, when I go back to the 'normal' State I have a ton of bloatware I don't need running with the OS... There is a reason why a little more savvy people use these things as services.msc. Bloating! No, I didn't touch the system services... Yes I know it can cause a ton of problems, it is not.
I do not need a clean boot, I need a way which device in the Device Manager uses so much power, which driver, what app, what service, what is the process, this thread, where it has located in the file system, when he was active, how many cycles on the CPU, it has obtained since then...
And if MS doesn't already have this app in windows, it should be a cause of issues of power on windows tablets 8 of clovertrail are... plague. For example - this is exactly the problem (a similar review victory 8 connected tablet with the same question shall) here - http://www.umpcportal.com/2013/02/connected-standby-battery-life-problem/
When even comments from bloggers and tech write about it, you know that there is something in it.
But I guess that applications like freshpaint stupid finger paint are more important as a selling point.

Just to let you know all I found the registry key to disable the standby connected. So you can all stop rage and take a sigh of relief.

    Reach:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power. There is a DWORD value called "CsEnabled" that you should find the value 1 and change to 0 will turn standby connected power off.

I have a Surface Pro 3 and can confirm that since making the change in my battery life has improved considerably. Also on the battery meter, before he just showed the remaining percentage, but now it shows the time remaining (for example 8 hours, 30 minutes) as well.

The only drawback to it is when I close the type of cover and re - open, the logo (logo windows normally blue) surface appears and performs the old style wake up from its sleep. Of course this should not be a problem for some of you so as most laptops normally do...

Already when I opened the hood, the screen will come back and I'll be back at my desk (or metro app, no matter what either was last opened) just like before - similar to press the lock and turned off on an iPad, tablet or by phone.

I hope this helps all the world all that. Please like and mark as solution if it solves your problem :D
