E4200 Base on a browser utility unavailable

I manually configured my E4200 (v1, material, v1.0.03 firmware) months ago and it worked perfectly.  My wireless PC and connected to the Internet perfectly.  I connected the utility based on a browser occasionally when I needed to upgrade the firmware or my DSL flaked and I needed to restart the E4200.  My problem is now I can't connect to a browser-based utility.  Connectivity Internet is fine.  I brought any configuration changes.  When I connect to the URL I get the certificate error message "there is a problem with the security certificate. of this Web site", which is normal.  I then click on the link "Continue to this website (not recommended).".  It would normally ask me to connect.  Now, it just displays the error "cannot display the webpage".  I hit the factory reset button and that reset the configuration to connect to the utility based on a browser.  I then rebooted my. CFG file that contains the right configuration, I saved when I could connect to a browser-based utility.  Afterwards I couldn't connect to a browser-based utility.  I tried again the factory reset button and re-flashed the v1.0.03 firmware, then reloaded my. CFG file.  Same result.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Could this be a hardware failure?  It makes no sense to me that software would suddenly cease to work without configuration change.  (I have over 30 years of experience in the COMPUTER industry, so I know that some of you will be skeptical about the claim that "I don't change anything.")  But really, I wouldn't change anything.)  Thank you.

All,

I've seen the same behavior: not being able to connect to the console (default 192.168.1.1) browser while the router works fine, all PCs are online and you are able to ping the router, ipaddress, and netbios name.

Reading this thread: I remember also have increased the level of security by limiting the "HTTPS" console only a few weeks ago (by deselecting "HTTP"). This behavior appears on W7, 64-bit with IE9, but also with Chrome and Firefox.

It was a simple solution (in my case):

Connect a / or walk on it for a Windows XP machine in your network (with IE7 or IE8).

connect to the console of the browser (by default: HTTPS://192.168.1.1).

Provide your admin and credentials

And voila, you're in.

Configure the router to also allow HTTP then (to improve security uncheck the abilty to connect to the console via WLan)

Apply the changes and you're done.

(If you walk on it for your W7 IE9 machine you will notice that you are able to connect again).

I hope it will work for you as it did for me.

PS If you use HTTPS, your browser will complain about an invalid certificate, it's OK because it's a (sort of) SelfSigned certificates not provided by Trusted Third Party (Verisign / Digicert etc.). Since you are the connection to that source in your own home, that you trust, it's good to ignore the warning and continue on the console.

  • E4200 access via a browser is low. Password and wireless keys must be the same.

I tried to change my admin password to something I just want to know. When I did, I was told that the key and wireless admin password must be the same. What madness is this? I have to give my children the key to enter the system there. I put parental controls for device there. Now all owe it do is google this router and read and then they can understand the key and the password are the same. Log in to the router and change parental controls.

I thought about a work around that. I would give them the key to access as a guest. It was great if they were going to use a browser to surf the Web. Guest access does not work for me on other devices such as iPods and iPads. In my tests on these types of devices applications cannot get on the Internet with guest access. That a browser can.

Thoughts from cisco? No help from cisco on this?

Do not use Cisco Connect and you'll be able to have the password admin and "wireless key" be different without problem.  I don't know why Cisco Connect is doing this, but if you go to http://192.168.1.1 with your web browser after using Cisco Connect and you connect to the web GUI admin here, you can manually set your admin password and the "wireless key" However desired.

  • The Airport 5.6.1 (10 Windows) utility cannot find Airport Extreme Base Station

I have the Airport Extreme Base Station (model A1408) model.

I'm under Apple Airport Utility 5.6.1 on Windows 10.

    10 Windows Firewall is disabled.

All of my WiFi devices, including my Windows laptop, 10, all work fine on the wireless network, and the light on the base station is green.

Life seems good... EXCEPT, when I run the utility Apple Airport (version 5.6.1) it says it's "impossible to find wireless Airport". Clicking on Rescan is fixed not. Power by bicycle to the base station doesn't fix it. It worked before, so this is the behavior seems to be somewhat intermittent. Lately, it doesn't quite work. So I can't reconfigure my base station.

Is this a known issue? Y at - it a known solution?

First of all, understand that the AirPort for Windows utility has not been updated since Windows 7. It 'works' on later versions of Windows, including Windows 10, but is not designed to work with the new 802.11ac base stations.

We'll see if this utility is installed correctly on your computer.

For Windows 8, 8.1, or 10, AirPort for Windows utility will work have two applications listed in the window Apps & features: 1) airport & 2) Hello.

    • Move or delete the file next to the C:\Windows\System32 folder: c:\windows\system32\dnssd.dll (Note: this is the Client Hello library and is required by the utility AirPort.) If this file is missing would be the main reason that you aren't able to find the base station. However, even if it is present, it cannot be properly registered in the Windows registry. In other words, Windows is concerned, there is no.)
    • Download AirPort for Windows install.
    • Run the Setup program by using privileges "Run as administrator". (Note: If you have the option to repair or uninstall, choose the option to uninstall.) To complete the uninstall process. The Hello application should now be missing in Apps & features list.)
    • If you do not dialogue to repair/Uninstall window, then let Setup install AirPort for Windows in its default folder.

Then, make sure your computer cable or wireless network adapter is configured for IPv6.

Now, try to access the base station with the utility again.

  • Internet "disconnected" on a regular basis

I bought my Toshiba Equium A300D Tuesday, which came with Vista Home Premium and since then I had problems with the internet "disconnect" on a regular basis - I say "disconnected" because in reality there is nothing wrong with my connection to all the.

I have a local network set in place with the A300D, an address book remove but not Toshiba, one and an old desk. The Office has a wired connection to my router and two laptops have wireless connections, but neither the second laptop or fixed, are having problems with the connection, only the A300D.

My ISP reports no problem, and my router has been for more than a week now without requiring a reboot. On the A300D but I apparently lose connection on a regular basis, with my browser (which happens with Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer) don't find no connection and the pages won't load do not.

Finally, if I try and refresh the pages, browsers just crash (and in the case of Firefox, it is often impossible to end the process with Task Manager, which means I'm unable to re - open). The Google Desktop Sidebar is also losing the connection too at the same time, as a number of other applications using internet connections, * but * Vista, when I try to 'diagnose and fix' the problem is said it isn't a problem, and a few other apps, my backup Carbonite and Skype service are the two remaining connected (and experience with my old laptop if there is internet connectivity problems Skype is usually the first thing to disconnect).

At first, I thought it was a problem with Firefox (my main browser), but as is the case with others too, it doesn't seem to be a simple matter of Firefox. Malware scan (Windows Defender) and antivirus (Eset NOD32) come to clear back, and it makes no difference if my firewall (ZoneAlarm) is in place or not, and I tried it with just the WIndows firewall as well.

Everything is going well for a while, but then suddenly I apparently lose the connection and once again, the only way to get it back is to restart, and once again things will be fine for a while until the browsers lose the connection (if as I said, Skype and Carbonite are still connected). At present on average I'll have to reboot every half hour or so, which is very frustrating and I'm getting little done for this reason.

I tried to look on the Vista from MS community support forum and a number of people seem to have problems with Vista - I was unable to post my problem here but in regarding the site for some reason MS refuses to accept my Windows Live IDs, and a google also found similar problems that appear to be related with Vista and SP1.

A number of discussions mentioned this could be linked with the TCP/IPv6 protocol, and that to disable TCP/IPv6 as a temporary workaround might work, and when I checked my connectivity TCP/IPv6 connection parameters has been showing as "limited." Disable TCP/IPv6 has however made no difference - I still have to restart every half an hour or two to get things running.

I am at the end of my home here - at - it ideas?

    Try the following:

    (1) update the driver Wireless LAN from Toshiba Europe site

    (2) update the BIOS from the Web of Toshiba Europe site

    (3) update the Firmware on your Wifi router. Some routers have some compatibility problems with some wifi chipsets.

    (4) go to the Device Manager-> Wifi-> properties and disable power management, increase the output power, disable 802. 11A and others that you do not use.

  • How to remove horizontal scrollbar of the browser on the APEX 10 g reports Page?

    Hello

I use the Application Express 3.0.1.00.08.
In this regard, I developed a type report-form page and using the theme with ergot of level 12.

I am facing a problem with the scrolling horizontal bar appearing in the browser to exceed the width of the region to report on the reports page.

    Installation program:
    --------
    (1) I have the level of type 1 tab page
    (2) in this page, I have a region report that is showing about 50 columns.

Now the question is the region of report is greater than the width of the page itself due to which a scroll bar will appear at the base of the browser.
Now to reduce the with the report I used the "div" tag in my region of reports as below:

    ' < table class = "t12ReportsRegion" id = "" #REGION_ID # "Summary =" ">
    < b >
    <!-< class td = "t12Header" > #TITLE # < table >-->
    < td > #TITLE # < table >

    < /tr >
    < b >
    < class td = "t12ButtonHolder" > #CLOSE # #PREVIOUS # ##DELETE ##EDIT ##CHANGE ##CREATE NEXT # CREATE2 ##EXPAND # COPY # HELP # < table >
    < /tr >
    < b >
    < class td = "t12Body" >
    < div style = "overflow: auto; width: 23%; ">

    #BODY #.
    < / div >

    < table >
    < /tr >
    < /table >

After doing this the reports area is reduced and now I'm having a scroll bar Horizontal + Vertical in the area of the report itself.

BUT the problem is that I can always see that the empty space of the same width in the area of the region and it is superior to my area of the tab page.

Pls advise me as how to solve this problem.

    Thank you
    Amit

  • Device not found Airport Extreme

We have an airport extreme connected generation via Ethernet to a switch that provides network access to our entire House (about 10-15 connections) via wifi access points all Ethernet hard wired (linksys + apple) and a direct wire to a PC. Airport extreme is the dhcp and is connected to a gpon fiber using PPPoE.

The problem now is that the AirPort Extreme disappears from the airport on iOS Mac utility and Windows, it is found however the network and the Internet continues to operate normally on all connected devices. I can also continue ping on the router.

I have reset the AirPort Extreme to the default settings, but the problem continued...

I tried to unplug all devices and have AirPort Extreme only connected to him have the fiber but the problem persists...

no idea how I can fix this problem?

You describe a known problem with Back to My Mac which first appeared around July 13. The problem manifests itself in a message "Device not found" meant to be displayed in triangular AirPort your AirPort base station with a yellow icon utility, while the router of the device functions others continue to work normally.

If you use an airport Time Capsule, backups will not work using that device or USB hard drive units connected to it.

Apple will only be able to solve this problem, so all you can do is wait for them to do. If you want to contact them to tell them about it, using the contact Support link.

There is a solution: on a Mac, open AirPort Utility and select file > configure other...

For each of your routers Apple AirPort Base Stations serving their respective networks: its IP address and password (if you don't know either of them, read the Note that follows the horizontal rule below). Then, on the tab of the Basic Station , delete all the entries in the Back to My Mac using the 'negative' button, then click on Update.

Which must be re-established appearance of this base station in AirPort Utility, as well as in a side bar of the Finder, if all shared disks are plugged on. It will also restore possibility of Time Machine to save on these discs, if this has also been a problem for you.

If this seems to imply that you will not be able to use Back to My Mac until Apple fixes it, you are probably right. Well to diagnose problems of the CCMM is tedious work that I have not yet finished.

Apple does not participate on this site except in a very limited way, so don't expect is not a response from them, here or elsewhere for that matter. We'll just have to wait for them to fix it.

  • Airport access point

I am more able to manage my Airport base station. Airport utility, I first got error "device not found" even after rebooting several times. I now have more see my Base Station in Airport utility after soft/hard resets. However, I still internet access and have a green light. Curiously, I can access the Base Station manually by going to configure others. Any ideas?

Hmm, looks like a ration of this pass here today.

What do you use to access your AirPort base station? Mac, PC, or an iOS device & which version of the operating system they are running? If you have multiple devices all have the same problem?

You did it of updates of the firmware or software recently and this has started to happen?

  • Time capsule is not displayed but the work of WIFI connection

    Hello

I have a Time Capsule 2 giga, which is used as a WIFI router connected to my normal router via Ethernet and an Airport Extreme, main, used as extension. Until today everything worked well.

Now, when I open the Airport utility to display the connection, it shows me that the TC and AE are not registered more (device not found). But I can still access the Wifi and internet via networks, I created, but not the backup.

I unplugged the TC and AE, reconnected them, reset, then the connection worked.

    But now it is again.

Does anyone have the same problem?

    Concerning

Unfortunately, this issue is not new and has been reported a number of times since OS X Mavericks.

AirPort Utility is based on both the mDNS (aka, Hello) and IPv6 IP protocols to find an AirPort base station.

When access to the airport through the AirPort Utility, try the following, in order, accessibility with the utility check after each step:

    • Check the local connection. If you try to access the airport wireless, make sure that you are connected to its wireless network before running the AirPort Utility to administer it. If you are still unable to access it with the utility, temporarily connect your computer directly using an Ethernet cable to one of the base station's LAN ports.
    • Try to access the base station using the utility file > configure other... option. Then enter the IP address of LAN - side base station (the default value is: 10.0.1.1) and password of the administrator of the base station.
    • Make sure that the base station and your computer are configured for IPv6 link-local only.
      • For a Mac: System preferences > network > Wi - Fi or Ethernet > advanced > TCP/IP tab > configure IPv6: link-local only
      • For the AirPort Base Station:
Note: You may temporarily connect your Mac or PC directly to the base by Ethernet station to access.
        • From a Mac: AirPort Utility > select the base station > change > Internet tab > Internet Options... > configure IPv6: link-local only
        • Since an iOS device: AirPort Utility > tap the base station > press Edit > tap Advanced > tap on IPv6 > change configure IPv6 to: link-local only > Tap actually
    • The base station power cycle. Remove the power branch of the socket adapter and then wait 15 seconds before plugging back in.
    • Perform a ' default ' reset on the base station.
    • Finally, if you try to access the Airport via an Ethernet connection, make sure that your Ethernet port is NOT configured for Jumbo frames, that is, by using a MTU of 9000 +.
  • An unexpected error

I have an Airport Extreme Capsule 2 T.  It works fine, but it is not visible on the network.  It will work as a pass for internet connection. It does not have a wireless signal, but I can not in it to reset the password.  I tried the soft reset, but nothing seemed to happen.  I tried the hard reset, but that requires a password. I asked the airport utility to open it, but it says unexpected error try again. Not very useful. I have turn off everything on the network and restarted everything.  That has not changed anything. I'm running the Capitan 10.11.5 Airport utility is version 6.3.6.  Airport Time Capsule needs a firmware update, but I can't do this because I can not enter the Airport utility program.

I have an Airport Extreme Capsule 2 T.

What exact model is your Time Capsule (TC)? The first TC which offered a 2 TB drive is the 2nd generation model: A1302.

It works fine, but it is not visible on the network.

I assume you mean that it is "not found" using AirPort Utility, but it can be found by customers of the wireless network to connect to... correct?

Airport Time Capsule needs a firmware update, but I can't do this because I can not enter the Airport utility program.

AirPort Utility also uses Hello (aka, mDNS) & IPv6 to 'find' an AirPort base station.

When access to a base station with this utility, try the following in order, accessibility with the utility check after each step:

    • Check the local connection. If you try to access the wireless base station, make sure that your Mac or iOS device is connected to this wireless network.
    • If you are still unable to access, temporarily connect your computer directly using an Ethernet cable to one of the base station's LAN ports.
    • The base station power cycle. Remove the power branch of the socket adapter and then wait 15 seconds before plugging it back it.
    • Make sure that the base station and your computer are configured for IPv6 link-local only.
    • Perform a ' default ' reset on the base station.

  • Re: Satellite P305-S8820 - FN key does not work after a clean install of Windows 7

I have a problem with a Satellite A210-103. After installing the Toshiba value added package (cards Flash Support Utility) unavailable for A210, reboot, reboot Toshiba Flash Cards and by pressing the FN key several times the problem still exist.

There must be other reasons why so many users have problems with the FN keys.

    John

    Hello John

This with the FN keys can be really problematic. I got my Satellite A300 luck with FN feature.
What you can try is to check if the Flash memory card support utility is available for your laptop model, or maybe A200.

Try to install, reboot the laptop and check again the feature keys FN.

  • How can I find out what programs I should have started and what are the programs I can start myself to my computer to run correctly when starting?

How can I find out what programs I should have started and what are the programs I can start myself to my computer to run correctly when starting?

    Hello

I understand you want to learn about programs, you should start your Windows startup. I will certainly help you to question.

When you start Windows by using a normal startup startup, several applications and services automatically, and then run in the background. These programs include the base system, antivirus software, utility applications processes system and other software that was previously installed. These applications and services may cause interference when you install or run a program.

The system configuration is a tool that can help identify problems that might prevent Windows from starting correctly. You can start Windows with common services and startup programs turned off and then reactivate them, one at a time.

I suggest you to refer to the links below and check if this is useful:

    Using the Configuration System (msconfig)

Perform a clean boot to determine if background programs interfere with your game or program

    Hope this information helps.

Please get back to us with an update on the issue, we will be happy to help you.

  • OS in conflict with register HP Officejet 4500 error (not valid (32 bit) DWORD)

After a update Vista to Win 7 32 bit, I can't scan or run HP Solution Center. After 3 hours with assistance from HP, they say that there is a conflict in the operating system that will not allow the HP software to install.  It was their answer. I found this article in the register.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Hewlett Packard > products installed > (invalid DWORD (32 - bit) value)

The printer is Officejet 4500 All in One Printer.

    Anyone?

A clean boot is executed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This will eliminate the conflicts of software that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in 8.1 of Windows, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista. You can also troubleshoot or determine what conflict is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.
    Why software conflicts occur?
When you start Windows by using a start of operation, multiple applications and services to normal startup automatically, and then run in the background. These programs include the base system, antivirus software, utility applications processes system and other software that was previously installed. These applications and services can cause software conflicts.
Have you installed HP full feature software?  Try to install the software of your installation disc
    Install using compatibility mode

  • Who is the directory of the connector server bundle?

    Hello experts,

I'm doing a flat file connection an i got to the point where I have to copy the jar file generated from the build.xml to bundle Server Connector directory. My question is this: where can I find this specific directory in terms of path?

So far I can find db/server/Oracle_IDM1. Here, I have 3 files: IOM, oimxe and approved.
Where should I copy my jar file?

    Best regards!

    Carol

no need to run the file systems. Just download in base to download the utility available under jar server/bin/UploadJars.sh.
