E4200 N customers connect to half speed

I just set up my E4200 and none of my N wireless clients connect at full speed. Regardless of what I use the wireless settings they seem to everyone to connect at a speed nearly half. My laptop insists on connecting to 144.4 Mbit/s, for example to support 300 Mbps. periodically it will connect at 300Mbps, but next time the I reconnect or I make a settings change on the router (regardless of the change), the speed falls to 144.4. Clients that support 150Mbps connect a coherent 65Mbps.

I am running FW 1.0.02, although the problem exists with 1.0.01 (I hard reset before and after the upgrade) and I tried to re - flashes the 1.0.02 firmware.

Any combination of channel type, width, mode and security etc. does not seem to affect performance. No distance (customer above is 3 ft of the router).

My previous router was located exactly at the same place as the E4200 and I got a solid connection at full speed throughout the House.

Would have someone seen seen something like this?

Thank you.

The E4200 is probably channel bonding (40 mhz channel width) periodically due to interference. Look at my reply in this thread: http://homecommunity.cisco.com/t5/Wireless-Routers/E2000-max-wireless-n-speed-72-Mbps/td-p/450035 to confirm this, look at the status tab wireless to the router and see if it displays 40 mhz or not. In this case you should see link rate approaching 300. If it isn't then you will get link rates approximately 144 and 65 according to broadcast how your wifi adapter is compatible.

  • E4200 gigabit WAN connection

I got my new E4200 for about 3 weeks. Its connected to a Motorola SB6120 cable modem. The modem displays a flashing blue LED when connected at a speed of 1 GB. Yesterday, I noticed the blinking amber LED indicating that the connection has been less than 1 GB. I rebooted and the E4200 and SB6120 pedaled power several times, and it never goes back to 1 GB blue LED.

The web interface on the E4200 shows the ports in the range of 10/100. It was fine for almost 3 weeks. All opinions why?

    1. try different cables.

    2. If this does not help, reflash the router with the latest firmware. Subsequently, reset the default router by pressing the reset for 30 seconds button. Then check if that makes a difference. If not, then it is probably a hardware problem, either with the router, the modem or cable. As it is almost impossible to really know I'd say you replaced E4200.

    Hello

I'm trying to create a 'half-speed' in CC button animate on a HTML5 canvas. With flash, this could easily be done using stage.frameRate. Does anyone know how to do this? I read a few posts about using setInterval() Fake this, but I can't find a full syntax to do it.

Is it possible to do it onstage, or I need to address separate video clips?

  • Can't run a PCI-MIO-16-1 (6070E) more quickly than half speed

I'm new to all this, so please be understanding. I have a PCI-MIO-16-1 running CentOS 5 with NIDAQBase 3.3.0 and NATION 1.1.0. This card should be able to do 1.25Ms / s I need 2 channels running at half that speed, which is perfect. I was nothing to do, but play with the contAcquireNChan.c sample that comes with the battery. My first problem is that I discovered that I could not run the map faster than 20Ks/sec. After you play with it for a few days, I upgraded my software stack of 3.2.0 and, and I suddenly could spear the map faster! I had not changed my code. I was getting 1-channel 625Ks/s really well. Then I changed my code to capture two channels, and I found nothing that I can receive the card run faster than half the speed. And I mean just, say, 650Ks/s. I can run a channel to 625, or 2 to 310, and I suppose that 4 to 155, etc.

If I'm right on the edge, my program will crash after a few seconds with the following error:

DAQmxBase error: RLP invoke node it is not enough data in the DMA buffer to complete reading of the VI buffer.  Request less data, or wait until there is more data in the DMA buffer.

If I'm 'more' the little 'edge' sampling rate, the program will crash immediately with:

    DAQmxBase error: DAQmx Base Read.vi
Some or all of the requested samples are not yet acquired.

So my questions are: I'm just misunderstanding how this card? 625Ks/s is necessary limit it? Or am I not call functions properly to get the full flow? Or, perhaps, given my experience with the upgrade to 3.3, is there still something wrong with the drivers? Should I look for a newer version of the software? Can I get a preliminary copy of the next beta to try? Finally, should I go by using correct DAQmx (not the "base"), even if it has not been updated since 2005 (I need to downgrade my OS)?

I'll fix my example (modified). It really is, I'm doing here of things really simple. Maybe someone with more experience can spot an obvious error.

    Thank you very much!

    DK

    Hi David,

I'm in Group DAQmx Base, and the AI limit you encounter is a defect in the DMA code. Because you use a PCI on Linux, the best route for you to take use DAQmx 8.0.1 [1]. It is true that the driver is old, but your material is plu ;-)

Although we have not done internal testing to know for sure, CentOS 5 will most likely run DAQmx 8.0.1. Since you already have OR-KAL 1.10 configured and running, DAQmx 8.0.1 should install quite easily. From there, you will have a better pilot as well as more hardware features supported.

However, if the kernel uses CentOS 4 k stack (as new versions of RedHat), you may experience a kernel panic. If you are in this situation, let me know and you and I can't for alternatives.

  • Connection Ethernet Port speed test

I am a newbie of LV and want to check that the connection speed between a PC running LV and a listening system is 100 Mbps. Is this possible with LV or do I need an Ethernet test (e.g., BERT or similar) to do this. The other port ping cannot tell me the speed of connection to my knowledge (a little).

Do you need to check the actual flow, or you just need to check that it has negotiated a 100mbit link? If the latter, and if the UUT is connected directly to a port ethernet to your PC (without routers/switches/etc. in the middle), there are ways to do this easily by querying the operating system on the network link. For example, you can use the Exec System to run the command shown here: http://superuser.com/questions/412952/how-to-detect-the-speed-fast-or-gigabit-ethernet-of-a-network-... and analyze the output. There are probably also a way to get this information through properties .NET.

  • Why is my modem 56 k running at half speed

I have to located 17 miles from the nearest town (las vegas, NM) and I just phone service.  When outgoing calls, I can connect only to 26 400 bps.   I am running windows XP Professional on a laptop that worked very well with the modem link 56 k.

Your modem will run at maximum speed it can, given the quality of your phone line.  The telephone line must pass, more bandwidth which can be taken in charge.  The phone company usually has diagnostics which will assess the quality of your line and determine the baud rate that it will support.  Sometimes, they go out and try to improve the quality... but if you are all by yourself 17 miles from the nearest town and your quality is semi-decent, they can ask to live with what you have.

  • Wireless router Linksys Cisco's E4200 will not connect to Qnap TS - 212 turbo NAS

My Qnap turbo NAS TS - 212 does not work in my home network.

The NAS is connected to a Cisco Linksys E4200 (Gbit port) wireless router and I have a Windows7 PC connected to the router as well.

I can connect to the NAS during init/config (the first minutes before a long beep) but after the bee long SIN disappears from the network. The QNAP Finder can't find the SIN and I cannot ping the NAS server.

What can be the reason causing this loss of connection into the router?

The NAS works when I use a wireless older router SITECOM 54 g router.

Do I need a special in the router config please NAS Qnap TS-212?

you get a light for the ethernet port you have the NAS connected to? the ethernet connection can be registered not that could be the reason why the SIN is not detectable.

you have the NAS set to an ip address static or is it to dhcp? If the dhcp, check the table of the router DHCP clients to verify if the NAS is networked and assign an IP address. you have reset your NAS? You may need to do. also, on the side of the router firmware may need to be updated to fix bugs that the current version could have. Go to the Page of Support E4200 to the latest vesion. You can also check for the latest firmware for your SIN.

  • E4200 Lan LAN connection - how to access the router

Just bought the E4200 (for a home network) and have implemented as a Lan - Lan connection success. My Siemens Spreadstream DSL modem 6520 provided by Bell Aliant (is a wireless router / and is used as DHCP).  On the E4200 as per instruction changed the IP of E4200 address to 192.168.1.2, turned off the DHCP and NAT set to disabled. The E4200 is linked directly from the SpeedStream ethernet port to ports numbered on E4200 (not the internet port). The SpreedStream also feeds a Linksys switch with 16 ports (SD216).  When I connect a laptop through the new E4200 wirelesss network, I am able to see the rest of my network fine.

When I connect a PC with the CISCO software installed to one of the ports E4200 software cannot access router of the E4200. I type 198.168.1.2 as a web address, but cannot connect. My question is, after all, the background information is... How can I access my new router E4200 to make changes with my lan - lan configuration. I want to be able to add an external drive USD to USB port of the E4200 years set up the account of wireless of comments.

    Kind regards

Change the address LAN IP of the E4200 to 192.168.2.2. Except, however, if 192.168.2.2 is part of the Siemens server DHCP address pool. Check which addresses IP Siemens allows to assign by using DHCP. The E4200 address must not be included.

If you have the latest firmware installed your E4200 takes the bridge mode. In bridge mode, you can use the E4200 as access point connecting with the internet port for your Siemens. This way you can also use network comments and other features that will not or do not fully work with the configuration that you have right now...

  • E4200 abandons the connection when streaming movies with two players in Blu-ray TV

Any installation or advice I can do would help. When show us films in different rooms at the same time we drop our connections netflix or vudu. Can I turn on or off all the settings on my router that would help. I love this router have 35 Mbit/s on the internet high speed, so I don't think that's the problem. Range from 35 to 45 Mbps all the time. I don't know how to access my router settings and navigate so just need help on where to go and what to change if I can. You can help if you can. I have 3 laptops, wireless, two blue-ray media connected 1 printer.

    Thank you

Yes, there's a 1.0.01 and 1.0.02.  If you use the media server, apparently 1.0.01 is a better bet.  I do not use the media server and 1.0.02 works well for me.

  • Problems connecting to half mini-map DW1520 wireless-n wlan

    I have problems with my wireless card, it's a DW1520 wireless-n wlan half-mini card in a desktop XPS 8300.

It started only yesterday, but the map is completely unplugged whenever it starts (4-5 times now) she also regularly (varies between every 10 minutes and every 30/40 minutes) abandons the connection all the way to the Red Cross and then will reconnect Finally, windows troubleshooting tool recommended never to restart the router, but this is not the problem as other devices maintain a connection while the computer does this.

Nobody knows how to solve this problem, as the abandonment of the connection becomes very annoying.

    Hey

Yeh I found the answer eventually, my problem has proved to be a really stupid thing to miss to be honest so maybe not the same for others.

But I did notice a new network being introduced in my 'space' (grrr * neighbors) and basically it slightly crossed with my wireless channel so I scanned the wireless networks to see what channels each used, found a nice empty space mine can fit in and then he moved to there and bam solved problem.

God knows what I will do if all the gaps are filled, night time sabotage other networks lol

  • ADSL router 1941W - get customers connected to internet wireless

Hello, hoping that someone can help me, I have 99% of the made config however do not know why wireless clients do not connect to the internet, its lack of im probably something very simple!

The access point has been implemented, wireless network is in place and ongoing execution, clients can connect, receive IP via DHCP addresses (10.0.16.20 - 30)

    and can ping Vlan 1 (10.0.16.254) and Gi0/0 (10.0.15.254).

The PPPoA DSL has also been implemented and is connected, the router can access the internet.

What I want is for wireless clients access to the internet, but also for wired clients (connected to a switch which connects Gi0/0. Cable customers receive IP via DHCP addresses (10.0.15.20 - 50), and these also need access to the internet.

The router configs and AP are attached, this is what im missing? Thank you.

    Add the VLAN 1 interface,

    IP nat inside

You could try an editor of consumption, which can be more forgiving of non-standard media.  Or you can try something like PP conversion.  I use this with good results.
