• E4500 Firmware released!

  With all the Smart WiFi firmware issues discussed in this forum about the V2 E4200 and the EA4500 (which seems to be essentially the same product), nobody knows not when we could see a fix?

  I see where Linksys comes to replacements for the EA4500 and the EA6500 to the show EAS.  I really hope that they give up their old customers like a bad penny

  Linksys would never pass us EA4500/E4200v2 owners like a bad penny. But it seems that they are about to drop us like a bad habit.

  If you do a little checking around, the E4200v1 and the E4200v2 are more or less abandoned. They always try to sell the remaining stocks of E3200 on amazon and new eggs.

  My guess is that they're trying just to unload the remaining stocks of "cisco." If you google "bestseller list of amazon", it's not good lookin. And if you look at the list of best sellers amazon for 'electronic', it is lookin a little better. But not a lot.

  My guess is that the EA4500 will receive a final firmware update within 90 days. At.this time last year (approximately), the EA4500 has been flagship model of linksys. And now he is chopped liver. They should send a gift card for all the members of the forum the free his pig cloud product tests we did.

  Could someone please take a look?  How did we would upgrade the device without any documentation about this new version?

  I received email notification that there is a new firmware C60 out (7.2.1) since last week, but I see no date of issue on Cisco's Web site.  I'm looking in the wrong places (but obvious)?

  No, but the fact is, you shouldn't - and a link to the Security Advisory page where there is No mention of the software in question, instead of the release notes, is not really useful.

• Download the Release Notes for v7.1.7 PS Series Firmware does not

  I get an error "403 - Forbidden". Anyone got these and attach them here or provide me with a working link?

  I worked with the people involved with the site.  Quite frustrating for all involved.

  I just downloaded the release notes of the House without any problem (numbers)

  When you call support they should offer to email the release notes, because they are small enough to attach.

• EA2700 Smart WiFi unable to connect

  I can't connect my router via the Smart of Wifi utility EA2700.

  As soon as I put on the router, I used the CD it came with and attempted to implement. While I was in the range of the router and I can see it in my list wireless, I couldn't set it up.

  I came the usefulness and using the prompt of windows 7 I was able to change the SSID and I got a generic password.

  I was able to connect my laptop to the router with the password and access the internet.

  When went to set it up via the Smart Wifi utility using the same password I can't access it. My laptop is connected, but I can't access the router in the utillity.

  Directly, I have connected my laptop to the router with a cable right cat5 from the Ethernet port of my laptop to the port on the Router #1 and tried the utillity smart wifi. Still I can not connect.

  I tried to use that the IP 192.168.1.1 in the browser can still connect.

  I tried to use the CCC Web site still nothing.

  Prompt repeat me the invalid password, you mind right now I already have logged 3 more devices with the generic password.

  Have your tried using "admin" instead? You have not exactly set up the router using the Cisco Connect Setup Wizard, so the router password is not the same as the password of your wireless network. Login to http://192.168.1.1 or http://myrouter.local and use "admin" password. If you have upgraded the firmware on the router during installation, you can also go to http://linksyssmartwifi.com. Here, you can access the page locally (use 'admin' password again) or create a Linksys Wifi Smart account for cloud-base access.

  You can always update your firmware with iTunes. But it seems you might have a larger, likely hardware problem with your phone.

  Try to restore the firmware with iTunes. If this does not help, make an appointment with a genius at the Apple Store.

• How to remove several networks in the Smart WiFi Linksys

  I hope this is the right place to ask this question, if not please me foregive. I recently replaced my router with a WRT1900AC and after installation, I use my account for smart wifi Linksys to the Manager of this router that I used with my old Linksys router. However, when I noticed two other networks listed as to connect to networks of connection. They do not connect what either and I think that they are of my old router (I used the same network name). How do I remove these? They do not seem to be causing the problems, but are confused. Thanks in advance for any help!

• Need help with the Smart Wifi EA6400 association

  I set my router several months ago using the password provided with the Quick Start Guide. I have never changed the password. I have implemented all our family computers, laptops and iphones using the same password and have never had any problems of access to the internet. Two weeks ago I put in place our new Sony smart tv by using the same password without any problem.

  Until today, I had never set up a Smart Wifi account. Now that I did it, I can't associate my router on the account. He repeated to me that my password is not valid.   Hi Stormy_01. By combining the Smartwifi account to your router, do not use the password you use to connect wireless. It should be the password to access the router configuration page. By default, the password of the router is "admin". If it does not, then go to this page I gave in the previous answer and click on the 'Forgotten password' option that should send you the link on how to reset the password of the router to your email.

  Furthermore, the rest of wireless devices are connected properly and are now working through the router, is that correct? If so, then we only need to focus on the recovery of the password in the configuration page or edit if you can access your settings. If all else fails, your last option is to reset the unit and start from scratch.

  Hi Jeff Barry, yes it's a legitimate update - annual pwn2own Conference has just ended and firefox 36.0.3 who's going to fix the fallout from that.
  I guess that the priorities were providing security patches to users as quickly as possible instead to have notes publication entirely in place first (they will follow soon no doubt).
