  I have a HP Pavilion dv4-511 with Windows 7.  2 weeks ago I ran a Windows Update and all my printers installed have disappeared after a reboot.  I did a system restore and they were all back.  Yesterday, I installed an update to a software (Soonr) and it's the same thing.  I clicked on the print spooler service to see if I was able to restart and got the error 1053 saying "service did not respond to demand launch or control in a timely." If I click on "Add a printer" in the menu devices and printers, I get the following message: "Windows can't open add printer."  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. "I rebooted the computer and the same thing continues to happen.  I did a system restore and the printers are all back.  It seems that every time there is a change to any software, it creates this problem.  Help, please!   When the updates are installed, the printers will be lost and when you try to start the print spooler service, you get the service saying error 1053 has failed to demand launch or timely control.

   

  The problem may occur if some system files are corrupted or because of malicious content.

   

  I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

   

  Method 1: File system (CFS) Scan Checker

  SFC scan will find all missing or incorrect system files and repairs them.

  I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on my machine and tried to install the drivers from the Toshiba site. However, after the installation of the driver and restarted, the l' ordinateur computer seems to be ok for a few seconds and then the screen just hangs and I have to start cold in SafeMode so that it works.

  I tried to disable the Nvidia Driver Helper Service, but it does not at all help. The machine can only be started in safe mode. The laptop was originally with Windows 7 Home premium, 64-bit and it worked well.

  Someone knows this, and what was your solution? Thanks for your help!

  Have you installed other drivers on the Toshiba site, too? Such a question would normally be typical of 3rd third party drivers use
  Have you installed the drivers from the chipset first?

  Maybe you need to restore the factory settings. With these settings, everything is pretested and configured for more stable parameters.

  Yesterday, I downloaded the Windows Vista Service Pack 2.  Now, 10 minutes after turning on my computer, my internet browser and all other open windows will be freezes and I have to manually turn off the computer.   I was forced to repeat this cycle about 10 times already.  I tried the system restore, but it was a mistake not identified, so that the system could not be restored successfully.  I also tried to uninstall the Service Pack, but that no longer works.  Help, please.

• USB speakers are silent after installing Windows 7

  I have a Dell Latitude E5400. It's a laptop. Initially, it came with Win XP.

  When Microsoft stopped its support for Win XP, I've upgraded to Windows 7.

  With Win XP, I had no problem getting USB speakers sound.

  With Win 7, I have a problem. When the power is connected, there is no sound from speakers with the exception of a short dull noise. The same noise appeared with Win XP.

  With Win 7 there is sound from built-in speakers or earphones.

  The speakers are Philips DGX320 computer speakers.

  I downloaded and installed the following:

  Realtek High Definition Audio Codec (Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 32-bit).

  I have not found a way to configure a USB in Latitude E5400 speaker.

  Any help to solve the above will be appreciated.

  • Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
  • Also please go to preferences > Performance tab and uncheck the box "use graphics processor.
  • Restart Lightroom and see if it works.

  You could reinstall using the way complete three steps (the otherwise strange things may persist):

  (1) uninstall (check the box to delete the preferences),

  (2) run the cleanup tool, see the link below,

  (3) reinstall.

  Here's what I did... I have zipped and attached below in attachments, the raw smbus controller driver files to decompress and install manually.

  Download and unzip the file.

  Go to Device Manager and click the controller smbus needing drivers.  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder that you unzipped.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.  Then restart.

  I have a brand new computer running on Windows XP home.  I started to fall last night, and it worked very well.  I installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 disc (and then I think that you download the latest version from the Web site).  After installation finished, he asked me to restart the computer I did, and since then Windows does not load correctly.  All I can get is the paper painted, no icons or taskbar.  He is not fixed, however, as the mouse moves, and if I right click I get a very limited number of options, including for office properties and properties of nVidia, however none of these options will load up.

  I tried to start the computer in safe mode so that I can uninstall Kaspersky, but I tried many pressing F8 on boot the system and it will not give me anything.

  I don't have a Windows disk as the software came on the computer, but I don't have the key.

  Given that you can get into Windows, at the level of the Office try Ctrl-Alt-Del to get the Task Manager. Choose 'New task' and in the resulting box type: appwiz.cpl [OK]. This should appear in Add/Remove Programs, you can uninstall Kaspersky. Kaspersky is a good antivirus, but from my experience it does not sit well with some computers. After graduating to remove, use something else. I recommend (trade) of NOD32, Avast or Avira (free versions available).
