EAM_Analytics ETL run hangs

Hello

Recently, we changed our source ETL server. (love of Server1 Server2) the same version and same operating system. I configured the physical data sources and all the other connection strings to point to server2. Now, I am trying to run the EAM_Analytics_test DAC. The process began to say for example. 10:00. the poster State race for more than 2 hours with 37% complete. I can't log files in the SessLogs folder after like 10:20.  What is the problem and how can I see it?

In the tab tasks, I see some jobs failed, but nothing has changed after 10:20.

Thank you

No. I don't have access to the source of the DB. But I found, someone changed the execution plan, so I rebuilt and then ran the load. Now loading failed. (Which is a good sign) I was able to trace the error, to a question of access which I am trying to solve now.

Thanks for the reply.

  • How to restart a new comprehensive ETL run?

I started a comprehensive ETL run a few days ago, and there are problems, while the race was not over. Now I correct these problems and I want to start a refresh new ETL run. However, DAC, the current run is always the term failure and when I started the ETL, it picks up where it failed.

I have reset the database warehouse and truncated the table S_ETL_CURR_RUN. Restart the server DAC and DAC client. This does not work.

On the current run screen, right-click on the track and choose Mark as completed.
Enter the confirmation key... and voila... you can run a different execution plan...

Or if you want to restart the failed run, you can choose the restart button. He will try to continue about to fail.

  • DAC message any plan of running - "Error when loading nodes"

I just install and configure Informatica 8.6.1, DAC, BI apps 7.9.6 properties for an instance of source Oracle Ebs R12.1.1

In informatica, I've defined 2 relational sources "DataWarehouse" and "ORA_R1211" - the same names in the DAC's physical data sources

  • Purge the cache of OBIEE in ODI

    Hello experts,

I have ETL running on a server of the ODI and OBIEE running on another server (both Windows Server 2008 R2). I want to purge the cache of OBIEE in calling a batch file after all charges ETL are made.

What would be the best way to do this? Please notify.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello.

I hope is not so late to help on this.

You try to use the Event of voting table.

    Refer to this: http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/event_table

You just need to implement an ODI interface to load the table with the correct information to clear the cache (check Gerardnico message inserted properly in the event Polling Table)

I spotted a problem with that.

The UPDATE_TS attribute in the table must be unique, or in your ETL, you must ensure that no duplicate datetime will be inserted in this table. This attribute is the key for the purging of the Cache. This may seem ridiculous to say this, but if you use a bulk insert and variable with date information hour all your records in the event of voting Table can end with the same date time. This will cause a problem and your cache is not deleted.

    See you soon.

  • suspended thread

    Hello

I have a wire hanging problem. Due to audio problems I had to create a separate thread for play/stop Quebec. The problem I have is that if I close the window as my audio thread run() hang the sons and the app is running in the back end.

Any way to hang the window close? I tried to use the closing bracket, but my hook is not called. Here is my code for the AudioThread. Here, I have the ShutdownHook code. I don't know that it is an old problem.

According to my knowledge, it will be of MetaFrame query and cache the server cache not OBI... pls correct if I'm wrong... and that this change affects performance (slow down or delay) of the report have generated by the user.

pls advice... If there is some other way to use the passing the Presentation server cache server cache not OBI.

    Thank you

Now can you pls correct me if I'm wrong after purging the server cache and * not ignitions presentation server cache * IBOT will take the latest data from the database.

Yes it will be latest data from DB and to your right. If you purge the server cache everything is cleaned and when MetaFrame is run, that he must speak to the BI server to fetch the details in order to accommodate the presentation server cache, as requested.

There is another method to purge the cache after each race AND, you create an ibot for the fire and by writing a custom script it purge old data and we need to plan sound after the ETL run... so it cleans the data and when the end-user is delivered the next day and want to see new data, it is there to see. • RE: Portal downtime

I'm looking for suggestions on how others treat the situation below.

Our portal is front-end to our data warehouse. Occasionally, every night for the warehouse ETL processes fail. In this case, we don't want no Portal are available for our end users. Right now, manually run us a .ksh script that takes the gate to the pool of server and redirects the URL to an html file which update us manually with a notice "sorry." We would like to get to an automated process that makes it unavailable to the portal, based on the status of the ETL run. We use dbms_scheduler so we can access the job status via the programming perspective.

I would like to know how do you antinutritionnel the portal? Is it possible to conditionally redirect global home page to the portal to another page of portal or URL based on the results of an SQL query? Or do you know an API or documentation that can help me get started? Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Oracle Portal 10.1.4
    10.1.2 application server

    Thank you

You can use the wwpre_api_value API to change the value of the preference for the home page comprehensive system. This will however show the 'Sorry' notice only when users access the portal by running pls/portal/portal.home. The standard URL/portal/page/portal // still works and users who know the name of the page group and page will always be able to access the page.

The average potential to solve your problem would be a redirect to the page in the Oracle HTTP Server:

1 create a new httpd.conf which includes a rewrite rule that rewrites the URL of the results page to view page sorry
2 create a script shell or perl script that retrieves the status of the job. In anticipation of the State, the script will allow the new httpd.conf by:

a copy of the current httpd.conf in a backup location
b adjust the httpd.conf with the redirection as active httpd.conf rule
c run dcmctl updateconfig TC - SST updated from the repository
opmnctl d call to restart the HTTP Server

    Hope this helps,
    EJ

  • Send an email when the report is updating

    Hi all

Is it possible, in its responses, to send an email automatically when a report is be updated?

    Thanks in advance,
    LAU

You can do it several ways, as you said using the ibot also conditional. You should have the flag or flag in your database indicating that the ETL burden was made. Then based on a conditional query run an ibot. But the thing is after completing this ibot you will need to lower the flag.

Another easy way is to create a report that runs ibot, make sure that you have verified that the Oracle BI Server Cache feed checkbox save the ibot. At the end of the ETL, run a command that performs the work of ibot for you. There is a mode application command in Oracle BI called SASchInvoke.exe. This application will run the ibot for you.

Here's the blog that explains more in this regard.

  • DAC decoupling HR and finance

    Hi guru,.

I worked in the implementation of the BI applications earlier with finance, to supply and project anlaytics earlier, all tasks were tied up in a single execution plan.

However this project that I'm affected is having END and HR related to single execution plan. Environment of our customers, is to have load balancing active architecture, so I want to have separate execution plan of finance and time IE to run separate ETL in charge of finance and HR.

    current configuration is as below.
    • Human resources and finance are built in the same execution plan.
    • The implementation plan includes six areas.
    • The data loading is performed in the same database and the same pattern.
Environment: Oracle EBS 11.5.10, BI 7.9.5.1(HR Apps et finances), Oracle database 10 g

If the two are separate from enforcement of the CAD of the plan what are the impacts would be we face?

Also if the DAC servers are separated for the HR and finance, as well as if the schema of database of HR and finance are also separated, would it effect the counterclaim of the report?
That is to say in a separated environment will finance users can see/report dashboards for HR? and vice versa?

What other things need to be addressed before separating the finance and human resources (which are not under the same execution in CAD plan)?

Are you saying you are going to use two different targets DW, one for HR and one for the end?

It seems that you plan almost like two separate implementations for the end and the other for HR where
    It is the same source?
The target is different from DW or a different pattern of DW same (essentially it itwo Dw if your essential dimensions will be duplicated)

In this scenario all the tables of the base (dim and fact) will be replicated in the schemas and all the reports from data analytics both end and HR
must be replaced as a customization.

Here I put in doubt, if performance is a pilot, then separating HR and end (and therefore duplicate tasks which are common), I don't think you
will get overall performance gain. Have you compared the time by making separate HR and fin and both together in a single environment.
Perhaps you need to focus on the ETL run differential that the satellite on the separation of the environment based on human resources and the end. If you have large tables, then partitioning
makes large tables like w_gl_balance_f etc. can be used to accelerate incremental ETL.

    Hello

We have installed the Oracle BI Applications 7.9.5 in a customer environment on Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 and a load running with seeded CSV file definitions. We have taken charge of "Full R12", and it shows that all 520 tasks are successful. However, the European Parliament shows the State as down. Here's the message comes from the log file.

Try using Oracle (Thin) type of connection. These types of false errors are known to occur when using OCI8 thick aka type connections for the following reasons
-The client machine where the DAC server has a different version of Oracle as the database server. For example Oracle 9 client libraries to talk to the Oracle 10 database or vice versa.
-The client machine has several homes of oracle. You should not have this situation. If so, fix it.
-The ojdbc14.jar is been copied from somewhere else and so the incompatibility with libraries of client on the local computer. Try and use the ojdbc14.jar is found on the machine running server DAC.

Many of these problems have been solved by using a thin connection. Connection thin aka Type 4 drivers have the ability to talk to the database directly instead of via the client libraries using pure java.

If all else fails copy the ojdbc14.jar is on the database server computer.

  • When I try to shut down my computer with Firefox running it hangs and stops the shutdown process.

When I try to shut down my computer with Firefox running, it does not close properly during the closing. Instead, it crashes (as described in this article) and will continue to do so until I have stop the shutdown process and close it manually, where it will still not respond. There is the substantive issue. Here is the list of the relevant data to identify more precisely:

On the list of programs is still active during the closure, the window of Firefox starts only appearing once as it should be, but a few seconds after starting to hang, it begins to appear a second time on the bottom of the list, with the specific name of the page is a duplicate of whatever it is on the original.

This problem does not occur in safe mode, but it is not caused by one of my addons either, as I figured out after disabling all my addons with tools > Modules rather than the safe mode and still the problem.

He is listed as that passes several times a week, but that is simply because that's how many times I forgot to close Firefox before pressing 'closed' and leaves the room without bothering to check it works. It happens whenever I try to turn off the computer with Firefox is running well.

See this article--> occurs not in Safe Mode

Check and say whether his work after turning off hardware acceleration.
