  It s very similar to your problem and I guess it happens because software Vista Chicony is not 100% compatible with MSN, Yahoo messenger or Skype.

  If you use Windows Live Messenger 2009, there are two main webcam / video configuration menus.

  a. start Windows Live Messenger and sign in.

  b. before connecting to anyone, open the menu "Tools" then click on "Configuration video / Audio»

  c. perform the tests and click on 'next' and confirm the webcam of video display, and then click "Finish."

  d. before connecting to anyone, open the menu 'Tools' and then click 'Options '.

  e. Select "Staff" and put a check mark next to "Webcam - enable others to see that I have a webcam".

  f. click 'Apply' and then click 'Ok '.

  g. sign out and EXIT Windows Live Messenger completely to save the new settings.

I did not any changes to settings or anything else on my computer and Control Panel seems to think that the device still works. I tried to update my computer with Windows updates, but nothing works. I also discovered that my photos folder is no longer work and Windows said it can be removed safely. I can't access my photos, music or videos. I think the problem might be that my photos have no place to be stored, but I need to know how to solve this problem.

  I found a solution to my problem! In another post, someone had the same message about how the library.ms could be deleted, but it was empty. They removed the libraries by clicking the option libraries from left to right, and then click. I then clicked on "restore deleted files" and my folders returned with the restored elements. I could then take pictures and videos because they had a place to be stored.

  Just bought my new Pavilion dv7, and when I run the Cam software, it tells me that my HP TrueVision HD webcam is not detected. I tried this for a few days, at a point when I was trying to play with the settings you Cam, webcam light on for aprox. 2 seconds and then died again, since then, it won't let me even in the settings of YouCam.

  I had the same problem with a HP Pavilion dv7-6e22b. I read on a short cable inside the screen.

  The lists of spare parts for the models have changed format and I find them harder to use. The best info I have shows the kit clearplate to be 04W1566. On the older models, the cover of the unit was part of the LCD bezel, which included stickers for the camera and models without camera. I have not bought a Lenovo sunglasses for awhile so it can be delivered with something else, such as the clearplate or misc parts kit. I think the scope is the same as on the T510, 60Y5482.
