  What you need to do is the following:

  -Install R12 (12.1.1) on 32 - bit OS (Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and upgrade 12 Release Notes (12.1.1) for Microsoft Windows Server (32-bit) [761567.1 ID]) - Windows, install it on a single node (your application layer node)

  -Apply all necessary patches and upgrade to 12.1.3

  Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 now available

• Previous cleaning EBS installation

  I installed a fresh PROD EBS 11.5.10.2 on AIX 5 L (IBM RS6000). Then I handed the functional analysts/consultants to do their stuff. Then something happened while they were put in place, the responsibility of the SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR has disappeared. Since I did not return to the top again, we decided to re-installed again.
  
  Why is that I can not reinstall using the same sid PROD and pool port 0? It seems that there are active traces of the
  previous installation even if I delete the directories "applprod" and "oraprod" and I also reboot the server.
  
  So, I change sid PROD1and port pool 10 and he went through.
  
  How I clean EBS installed previous instance in AIX? I think that l it has not met on Linux.

  Dear Experts,

  I'm already installed Oracle E-business R12.1.1 (new installation without patch update after installation is complete).

  However, now I will install a new VM on Oracle Linux 5.4 then level to R12.1.3.

  I'm looking in and read too many articles in the Oracle support on how to install 12.1.1 and upgrade to R12.1.3, I found too many documents and patches.

  My question, is there any document makes instruct me to install requisit-pre and post requisit for installation and the upgrade?

  and also, mention the fix required for displays and upgrade?

  The patch in (Doc ID 1066312.1) is already included in 12.1.3, so you should only follow (Doc ID 1080973.1)

• you see is not the option of selection of nodes in the EBS installation

  I installed EBS12 on OEL6 but I don't see any window (which shows the book) option to choose if I want to install the database on a separate node.

  Is someone can you please tell me what are the requirement of operating system for the installation of ebs 12.2.

  During installation, I get below error in check before installation:

  1)

  Quick installation runs on the same OS as the stage space.

  Directory of M:\EBSR12StartCD\startCD\Disk1\rapidwiz\ scene...... \.. There is no such thing as \TechInstallMedia.

  The stage space doesn't seem to be complete.

  Please ensure that all zipped EBS installation media is present.

  Please run buildStage.sh with option 1. Create the new scenic space

  You can download the files from Linux to Windows OS, then ftp the tio the Linux server files.

  You can, but it is not recommended.

  You need not burn DVDs, just place the files in a directory (in Linux) and extract it there and this should create the directory of staging area for you - to the electronic help fast delivery to install in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [406138.1 ID]

  I need to know how do vm contain linux and install oracle ebs 12 on that R.
  I have oracle linux and source of ebs R 12 and my OS is win 7 ultimate 64-bit my knees is hp probook i5 8 giga of ram and I did a partion 295 gigabytes to install vmware.

  Thank you Vanina but I just need information, I tried to get it from vmware site but I could not it and it's about space required for installation, I did a partion 295 giga and I put the source of the ebs and linux in an another partion I need to know 295 giga will be enough or not and I do partion compressed I ask this question because I spent with my knees to my friend and it is s /. n and it make vm and then stop at the beging of EBS installation and I have at home it takes about 2 hours and collapsed because no more space free in the partion but this time I tried to install it with 245 giga only and source of BSE also in the same partition but I could not see him from windows, so I need to know 295 will suffice or do new partion for her.

  Total space to a standard system (excluding the stage space) is 85 GB for a new facility with a data base of production and 233 GB for a new facility with a demonstration of the Vision database.

  Running a scenic space quick installation requires at least 47 GB host system and file database files in the stage space.

  You need to be close to a total of 150 GB for data charges (including stage area directory) and close to a total of 290 GB of database of demonstration of Vision (including stage area directory).

  I would appreciate if someone could help me with a problem I have.
  
  I want to install Oracle Apps 12.1.1 on update Linux4 5 on my own PC. It would not be any other OS on this system so that the system would not for Oracle applications.

  Didn't get what? What stage are you talking?

  What is the entry that you have in the file/etc/hosts? What is the output of "ifconfig - a"?

  But after installing Linux, I couldn't connect to the Internet. Someone told me about a successful Oracle Linux applications, installation you must have internet working!

  That's not true, and you don't need to have an internet connection for Oracle EBS work. However, if you install on a virtual machine, you should be able to access the internet from the computer asked if the host computer is connected to the internet.

• How to remove modules after installation

  Picture this please, you are installing r11 and while you do install on Lisence Produts step you click on Finance, logistic etc... modules and then you complite your wihtout installation no problem.
  
  After installing functional person comes and begin to make their installation on EBS for all modules that is installed... After sometimes they notice the client needs no module logistics, client side give bad information on the modules and the person who did the EBS installation click logistics with false customer information.
  
  The question is:
  
  1. we can remove modules after installation?
  2. is it best way to make new facility (Imagine functional is working already more than 2 months, if we do a new installation its average we lose 2 months)
  3. If we can delete it can affect other module configurations?

  It would be a new installation or restore a backup to a point before that this module has been authorized.

  3. If we can delete it can affect other module configurations?

  There is no direct way and supported to achieve this. However, you can connect an SR and see if Oracle can help about this.

  (A) I have the below 2 older servers, please advice if I can install Linux (like suse or redhat) and install Oracle apps R12 (EBS) on this subject?
  
  1 Windows 2000 Server (Poweredge SC420) SP4 Tot 68.3 gb, 514144 KB ram 4 cpu (2.80gh)
  2 Tot SP1 in Windows 2003 Server (Server Poweredge SC 1420) 70 GB, only 512 MB of ram (2.97 ghz) cpu
  
  (B) the other option is that I intend to buy a new server, please let know us what would be the best server configuration minimum required for loading Linux and Oracle Apps R12 (EBS) - best minimal Config so that I can have these 2 installed and work/operate the Oracle Apps R12.

  Thanks for your reply. also have quick access? What I have to install Oracle 10 g DB first and then proceed to the EBS, or I can directly move Fwd with the EBS installation so that we will be installing the DB 10 g while doing the installation of the EBS?

  EBS R12 comes with the database of 10 gr 2 (12.0.0 is 10.2.0.2 DB and 12.0.4 is 10.2.0.3 DB).

  When I told to reapply what I actually meant was to continue patch fixing the worker having failed, sorry about that. Failed to read the error message carefully.

  The adoption of utility stores fix information in the database automatically whenever it applied a patch successfully. However, if the patch is not applied successfully, or when you run adoption in pre-installation mode, patch history is not written directly to the database, but instead, is written in these hotfix information files:

  • javaupdates.txt, which contains information about the changes to the Java files
  • adpsv.txt, which contains information about the changes to all files except the files Java

  Note: In the name of the file, hh is in 24-hour format.

  These two files are in the /admin/ directory. Every time that you run adoption, it checks that the existence of the information of the files in the patch directory.
