  My all-in-one printer scanner Canon MX 860 lost the ability to print from the computer, now that I've upgraded to El Capitan.   I am installing an SSD on a Mac book pro 2011. I had been using the separate (Samsung ssd 830 256 GB) ssd (OS not installed) drive on my computer windows yet. I have created an El Capitan installation on a USB drive, swapped the hard drive on SSDS. I open at startup disk utility, erased the drive samsung with format: extended OSX journaled.

  Then returned to install El Capitan, but the Samsung SSD is grayed out and when I click it, it says "this disc is not use the GUID partition table scheme." Use disk utility to change the partition scheme. Select the drive, click the partition tab, select the volume configuration and then click options"

  I am replacing a hard drive and move a partition Windows 7 from one disk to another.  The original partition of Windows 7 starts and works perfectly, but when I clone to the new drive, I have a terrible problem getting the new boot drive.

  On the original drive, the partition is the partition 3, on the new disk partition is partition 2.

  Both drives have the same size of cylinder.

  The new partition was created as a partition main with the same dimensions as the other and cloned in the whole content of the partition.  The files are all there in the new partition.

  Moving Windows is not the best method.

  It is better to 'image' or 'clone' Windows to the new drive, using software such as Acronis

  I don't think that you can select a particular partition in the BIOS to be your first boot option, only

  Yes - I found a post on the HP website - "HP can't stand this product."

  This is unfortunate, because I just bought the machine two days ago.  If you are indeed working with where to HP, you can hire a query regarding WHY they sell products that you will not endure.  Needless to say, it will come.   We bought this new iMac last year (2015) and it came with El Capitan. In addition, it cannot be demoted to an operating system previous x. driver problems.  So after a few months first started crashing on the Adobe Media Encoder export. There are other bugs, but this one is debilitating. This works if you simply export but if you send to the SOUL, it blocks the two programs. I guess one of the latest Apple updates OS X caused this?

  I suppose that you change files from QuickTime movies, correct?  What CODEC are you using?  Apple has deprecated QuickTime for executives of Foundation AV.  Thus, the operating system is more multimedia as processing time it used to.  If your question is somehow associated with CODEC, you'll want to convert all your images source H264 or Apple ProRes (you may have noticed that QuickTime Player 10.4 OS x 10.11.5 does this automatically if necessary).

  Maybe try the demo version of CC?  If it works more as you'd expect, it's money well spent.  Also, do you know that you can subscribe to just first Pro CC for $19.99 / month?

  Another solution could be to Adobe Premiere Pro Elements, but also consult iMovie and Final Cut Pro X.  iMovie should already be installed (as I am sure you are aware) and I think that Apple always offers a trial version of FCP X.

  "Createinstallmedia" erases and writes on whole thumb drive. So, wipe your drive thumb whole and make sure that it is in a form "Mac OS extended (journaled) map of Partition GUID and named"Untitled"by default. No two partitions, won't work.  I highly recommend a 8 or 16 GB USB key that you can devote especially for this purpose.   You can activate the Device Manager to view hidden devices by following the steps mentioned below:

  To work around this behavior and display devices when you click Show hidden devices:

  1. Click Start, point to programs, point to Accessories, and then click command prompt.
  2. At a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

     Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1

  3. Type the following command a command prompt and press ENTER:

     Start devmgmt.msc

  4. Troubleshoot the devices and drivers in Device Manager.

  Uninstall all software and drivers for printers:

  When you need to uninstall a driver completely, the best and safest method is to use the uninstaller of the device (if it has one).
