  PL show details of the version of the OS and the version of the EBS, you perform the installation, as well as the complete error message. You typically use an existing database if you upgrade EBS to a new version (for example 11i to R12) where you attach the binary of R12. If it is a new installation, you will also need to install the database.

  12.1.3 EBS was installed on Linux rhel 5 1 year ago. and after 1 year with many configurations and customization.

  
  EBS showing a lot of issues and requirement is to install 12.1.3 EBS fees and move all previous data EBS & configuration to the freshly installed.

  As it seems that EBS 12.1.3 has not been installed properly, which led to many questions issues.my.

  
  (1) is it possible to install 12.1.3 EBS fees and then move the configuration and data prior to this.

  I mean if I can show them that there is nothing wrong with the installation. Then we need to think about alternatives.

  We want to install the MOC, EBS 12.1.3 on below two machine
  
  Database layer on
  Windows Server 2008 (64-bit)
  Database Oracle 11.2 (already have the database with the schema JDE)
  
  Application layer on

  This is the step that we're going to sink.
  
  Download the EBS 12.1.1.
  Apply Patch 8639046 for the Quick Setup Wizard to 12.1.1.11 for Windows Server 2008
  Install EBS 12.1.1 on the database layer with quick installation.
  Install EBS 12.1.1 on the Application layer with quick installation.
  Self Patch use to apply R12. AD. B.Delta.3 Patch 9239089
  Use Auto Patch to apply Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 Patch 9239090
  Use Auto Patch to be applied to the latest online help consolidated Patch 9239095 .
  
  My problem is that we already have Oracle Database 11.2 at the database level.
  If we can give the already exixting database in EBS 12.1.1 name
  
  and below the document talks about exixting EBS migration, database to the 64-bit database layer.
  but does not for installation information.

  What you need to do is the following:

  -Install R12 (12.1.1) on 32 - bit OS (Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and upgrade 12 Release Notes (12.1.1) for Microsoft Windows Server (32-bit) [761567.1 ID]) - Windows, install it on a single node (your application layer node)

  -Apply all necessary patches and upgrade to 12.1.3

  Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 now available

  I installed a fresh PROD EBS 11.5.10.2 on AIX 5 L (IBM RS6000). Then I handed the functional analysts/consultants to do their stuff. Then something happened while they were put in place, the responsibility of the SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR has disappeared. Since I did not return to the top again, we decided to re-installed again.
  
  Why is that I can not reinstall using the same sid PROD and pool port 0? It seems that there are active traces of the
  previous installation even if I delete the directories "applprod" and "oraprod" and I also reboot the server.
  
  So, I change sid PROD1and port pool 10 and he went through.
  
  How I clean EBS installed previous instance in AIX? I think that l it has not met on Linux.

• R12.1.1 EBS installation and upgrade to R12.1.3

  Dear Experts,

  I'm already installed Oracle E-business R12.1.1 (new installation without patch update after installation is complete).

  However, now I will install a new VM on Oracle Linux 5.4 then level to R12.1.3.

  I'm looking in and read too many articles in the Oracle support on how to install 12.1.1 and upgrade to R12.1.3, I found too many documents and patches.

  My question, is there any document makes instruct me to install requisit-pre and post requisit for installation and the upgrade?

  and also, mention the fix required for displays and upgrade?

  The patch in (Doc ID 1066312.1) is already included in 12.1.3, so you should only follow (Doc ID 1080973.1)

• you see is not the option of selection of nodes in the EBS installation

  I installed EBS12 on OEL6 but I don't see any window (which shows the book) option to choose if I want to install the database on a separate node.

  I understand that when we sell EBS customers, they think that they will use it for a long time in order to make the economy because this expensive product.

  But the limitation is, the server gets amortized and dated or crashed after 4 years. Then the new powerful and less expensive servers will come out, but the old BONES after these times are no longer supported.

  In this regard, we can use VMbox to host the old operating system so that we can still use the EBS for a long time like 10 years? Is that a viable solution?

  Before you try to predict how scenario would be after a few years, you understand why updates are necessary. Updates always bring the novelties that are benefits in many ways. the upgrade of the operating system or software here, in this case is Oracle Applications. Always upgrade decision would be based on the cost to keep the current system and to upgrade the system. It depends also on the support get you from island Oracle and OS suppliers of suppliers.

  From now on, I know too few customers who still know the old 11.0.3 ERP systems that are run on very old OS versions and at the same time there are customers who are always on the latest versions of OS and Oracle applications.

  You can keep your old system of time as long as you can support, you can have BONES on VM while it's the combination of supported

  Is someone can you please tell me what are the requirement of operating system for the installation of ebs 12.2.

  During installation, I get below error in check before installation:

  Quick installation runs on the same OS as the stage space.

  Directory of M:\EBSR12StartCD\startCD\Disk1\rapidwiz\ scene...... \.. There is no such thing as \TechInstallMedia.

  The stage space doesn't seem to be complete.

  Please ensure that all zipped EBS installation media is present.

  Check the name: CertifiedVersions

  Check the Description: it is a precondition to check whether or not the Oracle software is certified on the current o/s.

  Expected result: one of the oracle-6,oracle-5.8,oracle-5.7,oracle-5.6,enterprise-5.4,enterprise-4,enterprise-5,redhat-5.4,redhat-4,redhat-5,SuSE-10,SuSE-11

  Actual result: redhat 6, 6

  Full version. The result of this review is: failure of < < < <

  But it will not pass the validation prior becase RHEL 6.6 is not in the list. How can I add this version?

  I install R12.2.4 EBS on RHEL 6.5.

  I have this list of inventory rpm, based on doc 1330701.1 .

  During the execution of pre-upgrade too, utl112i.sql get a warning. Please help me can I follow for the warning of the step.

  People, I spent a few days on this exact same issue awhile back, making my upgrade. I've searched and searched and couldn't find anything that makes sense with regard to this step.

  Finally, a ticket of MOS with the EBS administration team gave me this answer:

  When you run the AutoConfig (which is part of the upgrade process), AutoConfig runs a script called txkcreateACL.sh, which will create the ACL for you:
  # | DESCRIPTION
  # | Script to create ACLs required for 11 g DB to utl_http pkg
  ......................................................................................................

  So, the quick answer is that nothing should be done related to BSE and ACL. After spending a lot of time to this task, I asked DOC ID 881505.1 to be updated to reflect this important information. Then, they added this line in October 2012:

  AutoConfig will manage the configuration of the E-Business Suite network ACLS.
  ......................................................................................................

  You can download the files from Linux to Windows OS, then ftp the tio the Linux server files.

  You can, but it is not recommended.

  You need not burn DVDs, just place the files in a directory (in Linux) and extract it there and this should create the directory of staging area for you - to the electronic help fast delivery to install in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 [406138.1 ID]

  I need to know how do vm contain linux and install oracle ebs 12 on that R.
  I have oracle linux and source of ebs R 12 and my OS is win 7 ultimate 64-bit my knees is hp probook i5 8 giga of ram and I did a partion 295 gigabytes to install vmware.

  Thank you Vanina but I just need information, I tried to get it from vmware site but I could not it and it's about space required for installation, I did a partion 295 giga and I put the source of the ebs and linux in an another partion I need to know 295 giga will be enough or not and I do partion compressed I ask this question because I spent with my knees to my friend and it is s /. n and it make vm and then stop at the beging of EBS installation and I have at home it takes about 2 hours and collapsed because no more space free in the partion but this time I tried to install it with 245 giga only and source of BSE also in the same partition but I could not see him from windows, so I need to know 295 will suffice or do new partion for her.

  Total space to a standard system (excluding the stage space) is 85 GB for a new facility with a data base of production and 233 GB for a new facility with a demonstration of the Vision database.

  Running a scenic space quick installation requires at least 47 GB host system and file database files in the stage space.

  You need to be close to a total of 150 GB for data charges (including stage area directory) and close to a total of 290 GB of database of demonstration of Vision (including stage area directory).
