Eclipse Indigo Support

Hey,.

I am just kicking to learn the BB platform development and have been involved in a large number of links on the web to BB for what would be the conditions required to make.

The more fundamental question I had was: choose between Eclipse and Netbeans. I asked my classmates that IDE would be better, and while most of them said Eclipse, since I've had the same experience, I am much happier to choose this.

However, for BB App Dev, I was wondering which version to go.

Many places on the web, I found that support for Eclipse Indigo (3.7.x) has not yet taken concrete form.

There is at least a page on the BB site which States that continuous support for Eclipse Helios (3.6.x).

Most often, people on the web suggest go for Galileo (3.5.x).

I would like to have comments about which should I choose?

Thank you

Which; s because it's the IDE Eclipse together with the included plugin. You can download the different OS APIs via the Eclipse Update site. You used to be able to do it with the plugin itself.

Indeed, my org.eclipse.emf.ecore eclipse version is 2.8.3.

Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse is expected to support eclipse version 2.8.3 for eclipse 3.7 org.eclipse.emf.ecore indigo SR2.

EMF 2.8.x comes from the release of Juno. EPCO does not support dependencies mixture of different versions. You will need to move to a new version of Eclipse to use a newer version of the EMF with EPCO. I recommend you to proceed directly to Kepler at this stage.

  • Update plugin Eclipse SDK WebWorks to 2.3.1.5

    Hello

I read this (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Web-and-WebWorks-Development/Eclipse-Plug-in-for-Webworks-SDK...) and I'm well aware that the like Blackberry developers to switch to training for development. However, I work with the Push API (BIS) that is not fully supported on waving, so I need to use a device/Simulator.

I found that using WebWorks (SDK 2.0.0) Packager that comes with the Eclipse Plugin supports all the features I need to use the API to push (I get Java exception errors). Instead, I've been spending like a Flash project and package/signature of the command line with the latest version of the SDK WebWorks (2.3.1.5) - it works very well. My question is: How can I incorporate the new version of the SDK WebWorks in the eclipse plugin? -How can I copy over

    C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry WebWorks SDK 2.3.1.5

    TO

    C:\eclipsebb\plugins\net. RIM. Browser.Tools.wcpc_2.0.0.201103231828 - 18

    ?

Did anyone done this before? This would make the application faster and easier to deploy on the simulators of packaging.

You can use Packager integrated ripple, even if you are not stable in Wellington. It will deploy to the Simulator for you and it always supports the latest version of the SDK.

With respect to the SDk update in the eclipse plugin, I do not know if more copy would work. You can back up the original files and try

  • IntelliSense in JDE and Eclipse PlugIn

Newbie here! I need to develop to the 5.0 platform. I downloaded JDE for 5.0 and got example HelloWorld working. My previous 2 years were with Eclipse so after a lot of frustration, I have Eclipse Helios working with the pack 5.0 component. But I noticed on the JDE and Eclipse that intellisense does not seem to be available / work. In other words, if I type:

    Dim myString As String = "";

    int myInt = 0;

    myInt = myString.

I'm expecting the IDE to display the methods available for the String object immediately after my typing of the period. Do BB d and Eclipse Plugins support this, and if so, any idea why this doesn't work?

    Thanks in advance!

In JDE, go to Edit/Preferences/Editor/semi-automatic and select:

    Include the java.lang.Object methods...

Not sure why this is not however the default value.

In Eclipse, it seems to work, but I don't know why (I won't change anything).

I'm good to go for now!

    TX for the ear!

  • Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 plugin utility does not install on Eclipse

I try to install Flash Builder 4.7 Plugin in Eclipse. I downloaded Flash Builder Premium via Adobe Creative Cloud. I also installed Eclipse Indigo. I'm running this on Mac OSX.

According to a tutorial, I found that I need to go to the Utilities folder in the Flash Builder, install and run the Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 plugin Utility. It seems to work very well. Afterwards, you should be able to see "Flash Builder" in the Help menu of Eclipse. However it is not. You should also be able to Flash Builder preferences under window-> Preferences. Flash Builder is also not visible here.

According to the tutorial there are also this file ' fb-4_7-plugin - encoded.link ", created in the eclipse's" dropins"folder. This file is created. However, it is empty.

I looked in the Setup log and it there was only a single message about.

    Move File: Destination: /Applications/eclipse/dropins/fb-4_7-plugin-encoded.link

    Status: WARNING

Additional Notes: WARNING - There was a problem moving /Applications/eclipse/dropins/fb-4_7-plugin-encoded.link

I'm not sure what it means that the documentation seems to be quite rare. However, it seems to be the only problem in the whole installation process. Any ideas or suggestions on what could be causing this error would be great.

    Hey,.

I actually solve this problem.  I forgot to come back and respond.  Hope this helps to Stefano.

I went in dropins/fb-4_7-plugin - encoded.link and edited to say the following:

Google might have a few ideas if you paste "caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Singleton is not defined" in there. This isn't a problem with JSF, there is a problem with solder (the CDI specification reference implementation). You probably failed a step of the configuration you need when using welding outside a JEE container.

For real support I suggest you take it on JBoss Weld forums:

  • shutters control home automation

I want to renovate my metal, electric shutters.  at the present time, I have a button for opening and closing on the wall.  I am in a country of 220 volts.

Does anyone know of a remotely controllable rehabilitation project (through it Mac?) switching system?

Thank you.  (hope this is the right forum to post this)

There are several different home automation standards.

    • Apple HomeKit - then that controlled by Apple is open for use by other manufacturers
    • Z - Wave - independent standard
    • ZigBee - mainly used to control the lights
    • ioHomeControl - rare
    • X 10-very old travels the power cables

and then there are some owners including systems

    • Crestron
    • Control4
    • Samsung Smarthings
    • INSTEON

which can be linked to various other products

There is Mac software for some of them and iOS apps for most of them. From a perspective of Mac, take a look at https://www.indigodomo.com/

But, you are probably better off watching iOS apps, you might even wall mount an iPad and use it as a controller. You could also use an open-source solution and control via a web browser, some people do with a Pi raspberry running Linux and equipped with a software module and Z-Wave as a OpenHAB race.

I look at using Samsung Smartthings to control various other systems, Smartthings as standard can control Z-Wave and Zigbee devices. There are several controllers for wheelchairs/roller shutters using the Z-Wave standard, which means that you can use one of people with Smartthings. Also from Indigo supports both the Z-Wave he too could control a rolling Z-Wave/component.

Note: Z-Wave uses radio frequencies different in the USA vs Europe so make sure you get the right products for your location.

  • Simulator of does not work :(

    Hello guys.

I'm so confused at this moment I want to jump off a bridge! If it is not development Winddows 8 store that gives me grey hair, it is the development of Blackberry...

in any case, I have Java plugin, BlackBerry 2.0.0 for Eclipse Indigo on my machine and downloaded the Blackberry 6.0.0.723 Simulator (9300). I installed the Simulator and see all Blackberry stuff on my computer. The Simulator works on its own, but when I try to run my application through it - the system throws an error indicating that the jvm.dll file is not found. He's here. I even went up to copy the jvm.dll in System32 file and use Regsvr32 to register.

    Still nothing works

My application is done, and I'd love to watch it just at least once before submitting an application riddled with bugs in the world of Blackberry.

    What should I do?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Simulator 5 times today (and millions of other times last week) and nothing.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I'm glad you are looking for!

I'm not going to be a lot of help, but one thought more.

You say that you have installed the Simulator for all users - in which case I don't think it is and must be in

    C:\Users\Hannesthegreat\...

I suggest you install in a specific directory, ensuring that there are no spaces in the directory string and see if that helps.

  • No response at the signing of the app

    Hi all

    Here's the situation...

    Software:

Eclipse Indigo with Blackberry plugin installed

    Win 7, 64 bit

A few weeks, no changes were made on this machine.

    Problem:

Sign app click on windows with the Signature tool appears, and then only thing that happens changes message of 'Response' to 'Pause reqest' and then back to "receive the response. After a few minutes, error appears in the Statute, without any explanation.

    Changes to the application:

I added just a few lines, tested on the Simulator and works very well. So I tried to sign (and signature has worked well so far), but today, there is no response.

    What else happened:

When I tried to sign app, there are a few emails received [email protected], because the app is signed, but it isn't.

    Issues related to the:

1.) is it possible that the keys are obsolete?

2.) where I can find the error log when signing is not successful?

There was a problem of signature on our side today.  This has been resolved.  Please try to sign in again and answer if you continue to have problems.

As stated in the declaration of the end of life and Associates blog article, The WebWorks Plug-ins for Visual Studio and Eclipse only support 2.0 SDK WebWorks and low.

These tools plugin does not update to support the latest versions of the SDK WebWorks.  Use the versions the latest SDK you should not use the command-line for now, and when the ripple is upgraded you will be able to build and deploy from the emulator.

You will be able to continue to use Eclipse and Visual Studio to build applications WebWorks in the same way as you would for the construction of a local Web site.  More details are in the above referenced blog post.

Well, I'm developing an application on Android runtime. I rather already have the app and have run it before and everything worked fine when I was using the Beta of the OS developer 2.0

I borrowed a different playbook with OS 2.0 and everything worked fine on that. Therefore, my Playbook had some flaws.

Only thing I could see was different on my PlayBook it has been updated since the beta version of the developer with many applications to test on it.

I did a cleanup of on my own, up-to-date security operating system and now it works good.

A solution of taking time, but it worked.
