Edit in Photoshop CS6 accidents Photoshop

Hey!

Using Lightroom on a Macbook Pro with 10.8.2 4.4 installed. Whenever I selected a photo (or photos) from Lightroom and select one of the options "Edit in Photoshop CS6", it will open Photoshop, open temporarily the images and then crash Photoshop completely.

Any suggestions?

After a bit more digging around, I deleted my Photoshop preferences file (hold down shift + Option + command when opening) and the Lightroom preferences (~/Library/Preferences/com Adobe.Lightroom4.plist) file and it seems to have solved the problem.

I get no options as the original or original with Lightroom alterations etc., he just goes ahead and open Photoshop, but fails to transmit the image and I find myself with an open Photoshop but not picture.

Suggestions as to how could be remedied this problem.

    Thanks, Stephen

Solve the problem by the following steps:

1 launched Photoshop third-party plugins to jump (with SHIFT key during launch)

2A tried to open an image from Lightroom to Photoshop > open very well

    3. copy all the plugins from the location next to the desktop and removed from its current location.

4 put them one by one back to the original location of the office and tried to open the Lightproom image to Photoshop at the same time to find the plugin that was defective.

5 development and coral as the defective one, installed them only in Lightroom and removed from Photohsop

I have an image in Lightroom 5 where I have not made the adjustments and I want to edit in Photoshop CS 6, when I go to Photo > edit in > edit in Adobe Photoshop CS6, Photoshop opens without first display the dialog "Edit Photo with Adobe Photoshop CS6 to change."

However, if I make changes to an image in the develop module in Lightroom 5 and choose to go to Photo > edit in > edit in Adobe Photoshop CS6, nothing happens. The 'Edit Photo with Adobe Photoshop CS6 to change' dialog box does not appear and does not open Photoshop CS6.

Can someone help me fix this problem?

  • Can't "Edit in Photoshop CS6" in Lightroom 4.1, after upgrade Photoshop CS4

I recently installed Creative Suite 6 Production Premium and uninstalled Photoshop CS4 and Lightroom seems to be confused and shows no 'Edit in Photoshop CS6' option.

Lightroom seems to be aware that Photoshop CS4 is no longer installed: the first order under ' change to ' is 'change in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4 (64 Bit) \Photoshop... '. ", and all Photoshop" change in "specific orders (smart object layers, etc.) are not available.  I tried to add Photoshop CS6 as a secondary Editor, but this makes Lightroom export TIFF to PS image instead of opening the file in Camera Raw.

I don't know what I have to do to convince Lightroom I have Photoshop CS6 installed.  Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Well, I have looked in the forums before and couldn't find an answer, but eventually find an answer through the links "more like this" right.  The path of CS4 was stored in the Windows registry. I had to update CS6 and it now works perfectly.

Just in case someone else has this problem, here is the post on the forum:

  • Edit in photoshop since lightroom cs6 4

    Hello

I work between lightroom 4 and photoshop c6.

I have a question though. What is happening is that I use to send my picture of LR to photoshop.

Do my work, layers and other things.

    Then save

Back in LR, I now have an edit.psd.

So far, which is very good.

But if I return this edit.psd (using the original Edit) to photoshop, work, save it.

When I'm back in LR, this is always the same Edit.psd and doesn t give me the workflow I use to have.

When I use it to return an edit.psd in photoshop work and save, I use to have a second image called edit - 2.psd.

Which was a really good for me workflow so that I remember picture who's who.

I tried to edit the copy when referring to photoshop, but then I m get a new file named Edit - Edit.psd.

I prefer this option because a less I have the 2 files I want. But I would really like to have this second file as edit - 2.psd and if I chose to edit a 3rd time I edit - 3.psd

Can you please please help me out here?

    I have im going crazy...

  • Why Photoshop plugins not available when I open an image in Lightroom and select "Edit in Photoshop?

Photoshop plugins are no longer available when I bring a picture in Photoshop from Lightroom.  When I work on an image in Lightroom and select "Edit in Photoshop", the image opens in Photoshop, but all Photoshop plugins are not available and, in fact, do not appear in Photoshop under filter at all.  However, when I open a picture directly in Photoshop, all plugins are available.  Why plugins suddenly vanish when putting an image in Photoshop from Lightroom?  I hope someone is able to help me fix this problem.  I am under Lightroom, Photoshop CS6 13.0.6 on OS X 10.10.5 6.3.

I posted this question on the forums for PS and LR because I'm unsure as to who might be more appropriate.  I only experience this problem when making an image in Photoshop from Lightroom.

I have the windows version of Lightroom 6.2.1 and whenever I try to go to edit in Photoshop, he says "this version of Lightroom needs a Camera Raw version 9.2" my photoshop has only 9.1.1.461 for full compatibility.  But my desktop version of Photoshop will accept only Camera Raw 9.2.   HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Does anyone have an idea on this problem.  Or have I been left in a Catch 22?

The latest version of Camera Raw compatible with Photoshop CS6 is 9.1. Lightroom is programmed to warn you when you do not have the version of Camera Raw that is fully compatible. But this does not mean that you cannot continue to use Photoshop. Simply choose the option to open a copy which includes Lightroom adjustments. Lightroom will create the TIF or PSD first, and that the file is what will be opened in Photoshop. It will include all the adjustments you have made using Lightroom. Also, on the screen of your messages, you specify to not display this message. Then, you can continue using Lightroom and Photoshop as you are accustomed to using it. At this point, I don't think that there are no changes that are different. I remember correctly, the only changes made in Camera Raw 9.2 were the additions of new cameras.

In any case, Camera Raw 9.1 is that you can go with Photoshop CS6. If you think that it is necessary for you to have full compatibility, your only option would be to upgrade to the creative cloud. It is really not necessary to do so, however.

Never had a problem until now, I can work with my photo in Lightroom, but cannot PHOTO PHOTOSHOP CC IN - EDIT IN - EDIT, I uninstalled Lightroom and Photoshop at some point tonight, and reinstalled, still getting it, frustrated, I have checked the forums and google and could not find a solution. From my experience (some time ago), I remember try two things, but can't remember who fixed-

1 fix the registry (on Windows) link as per - "Edit in Photoshop" missing order

2 run the program Creative cloud cleanser to wipe all references to the Adobe programs and then re-installing the App CC.

  • No dialog box edit in Photoshop with LR and PS are the use of ACR

I am looking for more information without success "full"... The answer closest to you what I was looking for was found in this quote, but, as in the quotation even he ask to open a new threat do not interfere with issues.

I just started having the same problem. When I edit a photo in Ps from Lr. The dialog box is not started, and if I edited in LR it takes adjustments and opens to the PS. I have Lr cc v2015.5.1 camera raw 9.5.1. I have reset all warning dialog boxes. Weird. I suspect that there is a bug. Any ideas?

Please start your own thread. Since you have LR CC 2015.5.1 you also PS CC 2015.1.2.

What you see is normal. When you select Edit in Photoshop LR and PS use the same version of ACR so no dialog is necessary. Your RAW image opens in PS with all the LR settings included as a type of RAW file waiting to be saved as all that you have selected the type of file in External Editor preferences of LR, PSD or TIF section. The only time you get this dialog window is if ACR versions do not match. LR uses a version more recent ACR uses the PS version you have installed.

Ok!! I get it but is there a way to get LR to me for anyway? Sometimes I like to play in LR to get an idea of the final image, but I'd still love to be able to edit in PS 0 and compare results once in LR. I get bored just this box!

You can get this dialog for non-premieres images. With raw images if you have the same version of ACR and LR it will always open directly.

If you want to edit from scratch, simply create a virtual copy and reset its development. Then open in Photoshop. Note that the changes in Lightroom are exactly the same as what you get in the cab.

  • Menu "Edit in Photoshop" Lightroom is gray - Adobe solution does not work.

I have a problem with not being able to edit in PS directly from LR, because the Photoshop options in the menu lists "change in" are grayed out. I have other software installation (e.g., Macphun) and those are all listed and behave normally in LR.

I have run that the latest versions of LR and PS through CC and all are updated. They move on a Macbook Pro I've had for 2 years and OS 10.11.5. I have not installed other software recently.

I have not moved any of my files, which are mostly dng conversions (NEX7) Sony raw files and some old cr2s Canon. They are original, that is to say, not overviews etc.. The greyed out behavior occurs with all types of files I have in LR (including JPEG files).

PS options are grayed out if PS is running or not.

I followed all the steps Adobe ("Edit in Photoshop" missing order), UN and re installed both programs, all to nothing done.

I have reset the preferences in LR and Psalm

And, finally, I just this minute and re installed PS United Nations (just to double double check) and who did not make a difference.

I tried to find solutions and read through these forums so apologies if I'm missing something blinding (which wouldn't surprise my wife in the slightest).

Any suggestions about how to fix it are welcome.

FYI - this has been resolved by installing Mac OS Sierra.  I already deleted all the files Adobe and records (including the hidden), installed the OS, then CC, Ps, then Lr.  Works as it should now

  • How can I edit in Photoshop when I'm in Lightroom?

I just downloaded the upgrades to CC with Lightroom and Photoshop CC. When using Lightroom and try to edit in Photoshop, Photoshop does not open and is grey while other applications plug-ins are available. What should I do to access Photoshop CC?

Close the two PS and LR if they are open, and then restart your computer. The "Edit In" option (Ctrl + e/Cmd + e) then works.

  • Impossible to save raw files I edit in Photoshop and save as a JPEG, appear in Lightroom

I'm migrating from an iMac to a Windows 10.  When I edited the raw on the mac version of Photoshop files and saved as jpeg files, they appeared in Lighroom.  On the new machine Windows 10, raw files I edit in Photoshop and save it in JPEG format do not appear in Lighroom, although they are physically in the directory.  Why don't Lighroom automatically displays?  Is not supposed to help me please.

If you still wish to JPGs of Photoshop-

Open preferences / surface-mounted and set the "File Format" in JPG format.

    The procedure is then:

    Select the image in LR

Right click and choose "Edit in"-Photoshop.

When you are done in Photoshop, use 'save' (or simply close the photo, and PS will ask you to "Save")

    * Do NOT use 'Save AS'.

Whenever you use 'Save AS' and change the file format (for eg. open as TIFF, save as jpg or open as RAW and save - AS a different format preferably LR) Lightroom does not know this 'new' file that you create.

As you note - any file will save in the folder, and to see these 'new' files LR you need simply Right click the FOLDER and "synchronize a folder...". "This 'important' the 'new' image in the library.

Mohit suggestion is another way to get the image in LR, keeping it in a file auto-importations, but you will need to set up this folder first as in his music video screen, is not available by default.
