Editable interactive report

Apex 4.2

I've been look at this example of how to create a modifiable interactive report

http://dbswh.webhop.NET/HTMLDB/f?p=blog:read:0:article:137800346674748

I work, but I am now updating my painting in the collection.
I have a process page that updates the table of the collection, but for now, it is
need to click on a "submit" button.
I don't want to do the update in the application process that I'm going to change the process page for a process in the database.
Ideally, the user should not click on this button, the update should be done automatically.
Is it possible to do it with a dynamic action.

Hi Gus

I use a collection because I have problems with the update, if people move the report columns or deselect columns. The update of the table must be from a package in the database, as is our standard.

I still don't know what the problem is here. You know that the columns have changed and the update can be performed using a package without knowing your environment, it is difficult to see why this is a problem

So I think I need a dynamic action that fires on changing a field and called the process in the database. Any ideas on that?

You could create a DA who sets fire to change the value in the IR. However, you already have an onclick on the IR action to update the collection that is implemented in javascript header. So I would look at adding to this action or add code to the application process rather than trying to do something different with a DA.

• Editable interactive report. To change the list column dropdown type filter.

Hi all, I thought I had posted this, but I can't find my post, so apologies if it turns up to twice more...

XE SUMMIT 4.2 11.2

Ive created an editable interactive report... Everything works very well, and I have several Text, LOV and selection list columns...

However when I now click on a column header to filter, sort etc drop-down list is the same format as the column itself. So if for example, I have a text box, then the drop-down list is also text boxes, if the column is a column LOV, the filter drop-down list is a list of fields LOV. (Im assuming this is correct behavior, because it simply inherits the column parent..)   So, I would change the lists to a list of standard display so that they are in order and can be used...

I think so? I know I have to do, which is either to substitute the function that generates the dropdown filter... or probably more simply, write a bit of JS/JQuery that modify data for drop-down lists.  Im still to learn, some help would be appreciated...

I think so. (and please correct me if I'm talkiing... garbage)   I need to find each of the appearance of the DIV with the ID that corresponds to the drop-down list box, and then loop through each entry and change the structure...

Currently the source for drop-down fields resembles the following (for a text field...). :

< div id = "apexir_rollover_content" >

< a href = "javascript:void (false); ">

< input type = "text" value = "24489" maxlength = size "2000" = "6" name = 'f06' > < / input >

< /a >

< a href = "javascript:void (false); ">

< input type = "text" value = "N1021" maxlength = "2000" size = "6" name = 'f06' > < / input >

< /a >

< / div >

How could I 1) browse each occurrence of div id = "apexir_rollover_content" on my page, so I found out about each other, how would I go through the list and change the line above an input to a standard list item text...? Or is there a simpler way to do it?

• edit interactive report based on APP_USER link conditional

I have a users table with standard information, including a user_id column which is what is used by my access control page to connect. I have a screen of user management with an interactive report I want everyone to see all users, but I want only the link modify to display the line that represents the user who is logged on. I know there is a conditional parameter on the link change, and I tried to develop in exp1 = exp2, with & APP_USER. exp1 and exp2 user_id, but who do not seem to work. Any other ideas, or I'm doing something wrong with the way I tried to make it work?

HI -.

It really bothers me, this forum has a problem with the code examples, so for a while at least I posted quick example on Google:

[Conditional column | http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dd2tkvv6_212dbzw2ftq]

Not to complicate too much, but if you want without empty column except a line, you could of course apply this trick to the column that contains actually the user name in your table... in other words, the user can right click on their name to go to the Edit screen, but any other name user, but they would not be a hyperlink. But it is as they say an exercise for the reader :)

Good luck.

• Interactive report editable without using the Collection

Hi Experts,

I use Oracle Apex 4.2.5

Is it possible to create an interactive report that can be changed in the same page? If the user edit a field, it must get updated in this table.

Let me know if this is possible without assistance from the Collections of the Apex

BR,

Patrick

Paul Broughton says:

Hi Patrick,

I also agree there is no out of the box solution, I need this for an application and I used elements of the APEX of the APEX_ITEM API

Here is a very basic example that I have not tested, but you have a question, something like:
Select

APEX_ITEM. DISPLAY_AND_SAVE (1, empno) as patient_id,

APEX_ITEM. TEXT (2, ename) as ename

Of

EMP;

[/ code]

Make sure you use columns of standard report as your column types.

When you click on submit you'd have a process similar to the following:
Start

BECAUSE me in 1... APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01. COUNTING LOOP

Update emp

set ename = apex_application.g_f02 (i)

where empno = apex_application.g_f01 (i);

end loop;

end;

[/ code]

That's assuming you don't need inline editing.  If you do this will require an even more customized solution, but the way above requires no collections.

Thank you

Paul

Hi Paul,.

I think that IR out-of-box features do not work correctly when you use the APEX_ITEM functions in the query.

Here's another one you could use APEX 4.2

• Interactive report - edit

I have an interactive report that displays data from a table.
I had initially done this as unchangeable. Nobody can change the data but only discovers what is returned by the query in the interactive report.
Now I asked me to provide the functionality where data can be edited or removed from the report.

How can I do this? What to do or where to make changes so that the interactive report can be changed and deleted values?

Any help appreciated.

Hello

First create a page with the form to create/modify/delete files box.
Right click on the region of interactive report in Page rendering, and then select change report attributes. Go to the link column and select link to custom target.
In this Application as a target, and then the Page number, select the Page. This page should be a form by which you create/Update/Delete records.
Select the item. This must be the primary key of the form and the value must be the value of interactive report. Click the LOV. It shows the interactive report values.

This allows to link to change/remove files form.

• Interactive report with checkbox and editable field

Hello

For a project I'm working on, I need to create an interactive report in Apex 3.2 with the ability to select rows and change one of the columns in the report.
To do this, I started by adding these two fields at the request of my IR selection:

CB apex_item. CheckBox (1, product_number)

and

apex_item. Text (2, QTY_TO_ORDER) QTY_TO_ORDER

CB is the files checkbox and QTY_TO_ORDER is the editable field.

It worked like a charm and I had my two fields in the report.
To process the values, I've added this page process, which currently must store only the "product number" and the "QTY_TO_ORDER" fields in a table.

BEGIN
BECAUSE me in 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01. Count LOOP
insert into mytmptable values (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i), APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02 (i));
END LOOP;
commit;
end;

However, this does not work as I want it to work. When I check the boxes of the two rows, it will store two numbers of good product lines, but it will take the field QTY_TO_ORDER two albums from the table, regardless of who those are checked. I was able to solve this problem, by adding a rownum in the query and using the rownum as the value for the checkbox control. Because I still need that the areas of product_number and qty_to order I made them two text fields.

I changed my page process of:

BEGIN
BECAUSE me in 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01. Count LOOP
insert into mytmptable values (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02 (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i)),
APEX_APPLICATION. G_F03 (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i)));
END LOOP;
commit;
end;

This seemed to solve the problem, and I have now received the good values in the table, unless I used in the report to sort... As soon as I've sorted the report in a different way from that of rownum, I had bad values in the table. The reason is of course that my insert simply selects the nth line in the table, and my rownums are not dynamic.

I found a lot of examples on the internet using "#ROWNUM #" in the selection, which is expected to spawn a rownum in the report. It seems to work in normal report, but in interactive reports, literal values "#ROWNUM #" appears.

Is it possible to fix this?

Hello

Try with 3 fields:

CB apex_item. CheckBox (1, product_number).
apex_item. Text (2, QTY_TO_ORDER) QTY_TO_ORDER,.
prod_no apex_item. Hidden (3, product_number)

The hidden field should be view as a hidden column.

Then your process can be:

BEGIN
BECAUSE me in 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01. Count LOOP
J in 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F03. Count LOOP
IF APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i) = APEX_APPLICATION. G_F03 (j)) THEN
insert into mytmptable values (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i), APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02 (j));
"exit";
END IF;
END LOOP;
END LOOP;

• Data of the interactive report not displaying on the edit form.

I have an interactive report that contains 3 rows. When I click the button change beside one of these lines, the edit form displays the data in this row.
But when I click the buttons edit beside the other 2 rows of report, I receive an error message that indicates: "ORA-01403: no data found." Error line could not.

I don't see why this is happening. The pharmacokinetics of the table involved is 'Date of application', so 'Column link' report is sent the value "Request Date" to the P54_Request_Date element in the page of the form.
No idea why this would work properly for one of the lines report but not for the other 2?
Obviously, each of the lines report must have a value for the PK, then why the form would not be able to find the same line that displays the report? Is this a problem with the process of "line of" form?
Thank you.

Hello:

I'd know it before. The date format default for your application, as shown in the following debug output is DD-MON-RR
>
0.35:... "NLS: decimal separator Set =". »
0.35:... NLS: Set NLS Group separator = ",".
0.35:... NLS: Date Format Set = "DD-MON-RR.
>

So, it means that the part of time to a date column is never taken into account when matching a date field. You can change the default date of the application format (shared components-> change the attributes of the globalization) and the value is in the format that you specified for the column in the report (DD-MON-yyyy hh24miss). It will then do the ARF in the process of work correctly without the need of the value of the page element that contains the column of the massage table. However, the change may affect other pages in your application that may depend on the date is in the format "DD-MON-rr.
You can try this workaround.
Remove the header before process you added for re - format the value PK-item page
Define a process lower than the RFA process before header with a sequence
Set after a bidding process with a sequence that is lower than the process of automatic line (DML)
Use the code below for each new process

execute immediate 'alter session set nls_date_format=''DD-MON-YYYY HHMISS''';

It's all totally obsolete with respect to the 5.0 APEX where interactive reports have been completely redesigned and rebuilt.

To complete the full version number of APEX, always indicate what theme and browser (s) / version (s) you use when asking questions of shape/layout visual layout.

To go from rank (Zebra) when you use the universal theme distribution in interactive reports, see Re: interactive report - no line scratched?

• How to add the link change in the detail view of the interactive report?

Hello

I use APEX 5.0 on 11g XE.

I have an interactive report displaying multiple records with a column of link which is one of to an edition for the registration page. All the standard stuff 'wizard generated. I have also created a layout of the detail view. It all works very well.

However. I want IR to show detail discovers all the time and hide all Toolbar IR. How can I show the link change in the detail for each record view?

Y at - it an easy way to do this by adding a column reference (something like: #LINKCOLUMN #?) or do I need to create it manually with an < a href... > tag. I guess that this method would require me to generate a checksum with apex_util.prepare_url?

Nick4 wrote:

Good point. I agree, however, I want to keep it as an interactive report that I must keep my options open as showing the data... every customer is different, I can change my mind.

Other options are available for this. Compilation options to be exact... create IR and parts of standard report and determine who gets deployed by setting the build on the export options.

I was hoping there was an easy way to display the IR link column in the detail view, but looks like I need to create one manually in the HTML "for each line" in the detail view section.

It works, but no checksum complains...

EDIT

So have added as a column in the query:

APEX_UTIL. URL PREPARE_URL('f?p=&APP_ID.:14:&session.::no::P14_CONTACT_ID:#CONTACT_ID#:', NULL, 'SESSION')

and this for the HTML:

But the URL is always wrong... #CONTACT_ID # always ends after the checksum...?

You are mixing HTML/model and SQL syntax. #CONTACT_ID # does not substitute for CONTACT_ID value in the query. The column value should be included in the URL before calculating the checksum:

...
apex_util.prepare_url('f?p=' || :app_id || ':14:' || :app_session || '::NO::P14_CONTACT_ID:' || contact_id, NULL, 'SESSION') url
...

Note that substitution integrated always strings need to be referenced as bind variables in SQL to avoid unnecessary analysis.

There is no declarative support for generating links conditionally to line level in interactive reports (or indeed in the standard reports). Set the IR link column property to exclude the link columnand generate the link in the request in the original report. Set the Type of display attribute for the column Edit to report Standard column.

user and developer demo/demo (TR1 workspace)

Check the application now. I've done the column 'Empno' as link and execution of your dynamic action on click on the link.

Here are the changes:

• Edited the "Empno" column attributes and perform the following settings in the properties of 'column link:

Text link: #EMPNO #.

Link attributes: class = 'empdetails '.

Target: URL

URL: javascript:void (0);

NOTE: The link does nothing but on the onclick for the event of link DA no real logic.

• Edited the dynamic action 'assign values' and set the following properties:

Selection type: jQuery Selector

jQuery Selector: a.empdetails

Kind regards

• Interactive report - no line scratched?

Hello!

I use the last 5.0 APEX.

Is it possible to turn on 'striped lines' to interactive reports?

of course, in the classic reports it is defined as standard.

Thank you!

Best regards

Janek

What user interface? Theme? Style?

If you use the new universal theme (42), then proceed as follows.

• Go to a page of IR in your application.
• Click the Thème Roller on the developer toolbar.
• Expand the CSS custom section.
• Add these custom style rules:
.a-IRR-table tr:nth-child(odd) td {
background-color: #fafafa;
}
.a-IRR-table tr:nth-child(even) td {
background-color: #ffffff;
}
.a-IRR-table tr:hover td, .a-IRR-table tr:nth-child(even):hover td {
background-color: #f0f0f0;
}
.a-IRR-table tr:hover td, .a-IRR-table tr:nth-child(odd):hover td {
background-color: #f0f0f0;
}

• The page will automatically preview changes. Adjust the colors to suit your needs,
• Click on record under and type a name for the style of custom theme.
• Topic close Roller

Edit: Simplified the selectors and the added row highlighting in the overview.
