Basic authentication uses a called http authorization header. You must set a value for this header as Base64encode(username:password). You can use a transport header action to set it.

  • Basic authentication of HTTP Cache MDS

    The MDS Simulator and the BES application there are cached credentials for basic authentication and their use during future requests to our server, even when the customer changes more precisely the credentials in the request.

    As seen on:

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/devjournals/resources/journals/oct_2004/understanding_mds.jsp#what_cach... .

    User InformationAs discussed in the previous section, MDS supports a variety of authentication schemes. In the situation where authentication is required, MDS will cache user credentials after a user is prompted for a username and password. The next time that user logs into the server and is challenged for a username and password, MDS will automatically authenticate the user with the cached credentials, removing the need for them to re-enter their credentials each time.

    This causes us a lot of problems because we need different credentials for different operations. We tried to place the directive to control cahce on applications of non-magasin, non-cache, must-revalidate for value however the MDS seems to ignore these guidelines.

    There is a directive that can be used on the line connection or in the HTTP header that will prevent the MDS to use cached credentials?

    Thanks, but we don't have control on our users, BES servers, so this isn't a viable option.

    We found that using a HTTPS connection seems to solve this problem, but it's pretty boring, that we have the load on the client and the server to use HTTPS connections.

    BES/MDS servers should obey RAM headers in HTTP requests. At least he should realize that the credentials should be updated when a new series is sent to it by the customer and not blindly use the old powers.

    Cached references like this also make it difficult on some sites (not much these days use Basic Auth, but some don't) to have several accounts, because you can not change your credentials.

  • Basic authentication for the OSB exposed as a Rest Service

    Hi all

    We expose OSB Service as a Rest Service to the customer. Need to add basic for the client authentication. In the HTTP transport Service proxy, we have enabled basic authentication. However, we do not know how to proceed. We want to take care of the authentication section in the BSO it itself, so what should be our next step for her? How to extract the authentication information for the request and where to add the check? Is there an easy way to integrate with authentication AD in OSB?

    Hello

    OSB will do authentication for you, no need to make something of yourself. Just move the radiobutton control to basic authentication. It uses the Weblogic domain in the to do. OSB will get the name of user and password of the authentication HTTP header property and validate it against weblogic. If weblogic confirms as a name of user and password valid, OSB running the proxy. Any valid user in weblogic will do, there is no authorization: so no way to limit to a specific user. This means that to connect to AD you must configure using Weblogic. In the field of weblogic, you can add any AD or any LDAP as authenticator.

    With the help of its also possible to validate on a particular user using the UserToken GOSA strategy. You can also use GOSA do BasicAuthentication by applying the specific policy. But GOSA only supports basic over SSL authentication, not simple basic authentication.

    By the way: for BA on a Business Service: you must create a ServiceAccount object with the specific user name password and assign to specific BusinessService. You can create a surveillance society by environment, each in a particular folder of dev/test/ACC/prod. Then use a customization file to switch between them.

  • Anyway I can get for free a Cie from my pc crapped out vista basic and I need to reinstall.

    I bought an acer 5315 laptop computer series with windows Vista Home Basic. I have my key ode on the bottom for her. I need to reinstall Vista Home Basic Edition, but have no disc for her. AY idea how I can get it without having to buy new?

    Hello

    There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

    You can contact Acer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

    http://us-store.Acer.com/RCD/

    They should do this for a small fee.

    To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

    You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

    How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

    "How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

    And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    With an Acer, it's Alt + F10

    And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

    See programs > name Acer > then their eRecovery software topics on how to do, how it is made in function.

    If you find a reference to it, contact Acer to get tips on how to do these recovery disks.

    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

    "How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

    And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

    "How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    I looked at the preferences > recording > Web Services > the Proxy Configuration, and then refer you to the preferences > recording > HTTP > the Proxy settings. I also looked at similar settings under Preferences > reading.

    I'm running OpenScript (9.1), how to configure it...?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

    You can right click on the section to initialize your script and then:

    Add-> other-> HTTP-> authentication.

    You need 3 parameters:

    A - http://someurl - url that will authenticate any url that contains the http://someurl string for example http://someurl.com/index.html
    A password
    A user

    The following code should be added in your script:

    http.addAuthentication("http://someurl", "username",
                        deobfuscate("5blNah5kX/XuZnepYwInFw=="));

    I tried boucing the server and rebooting my machine, but I still have the problem. All my authentications are correct. is there a way to get around this?

    Thank you

    Hello
    BAM11g is certified with SOA 10.1.3.4 and beyond. Therefore, it is preferable to use JDev 10.1.3.4 and later versions.
    We don't certify with 10.1.3.3 SOA.

  • How to configure basic authentication

    Hi all

    If you'd be grateful if someone can help me explaining how can we define basic authentication on demand HTTP for Blackberry 10 waterfalls.

    I found the solution. I share solution for anyone facing a similar question, you can add headers to authenticate as.

    QNetworkRequest req(url);

    // HTTP Basic authentication header value: base64(username:password)
    QString concatenated = "username:password";
    QByteArray data = concatenated.toLocal8Bit().toBase64();
    QString headerData = "Basic " + data;
    req.setRawHeader("Authorization", headerData.toLocal8Bit());

    QNetworkReply* ipReply = netManager->get(req);

  • Basic authentication with the RESTful WEb service and a Web Service reference

    Hi all

    We have made significant progress on getting an application to work with RESTful web services, but are now trying to understand how to lock a RESTful Web service while making it available for a particular application.

    We use one of the 'emp' table sample web services come with Apex 4.2 and are trying to apply the Basic Auth to the WEb Service using Weblogic filter defined in the web.xml file. Which works very well. I now get challenged when I try to go to:

    https://wlogic.edu/Apex/BNR/ACE/HR/empinfo/

    And when I authenticate this challenge, I am able to get the data. (we are usiing the Weblogic-level LDAP authentication)

    However, I'm not sure how to get even basic authentication to work with Web Service reference in my application. I see the error message in the application when I try to call this Web Service:

    401 Unauthorized <

    And I see:
    "The request requires user authentication. It MUST contain a header field WWW-Authenticate (section 14.46) containing a fault that is applicable to the requested resource. The client MAY repeat the request with a suitable authorization (section 14.8) header field. If the request already includes identification of the authorization information»

    How can I provide the credentials in the Web reference or provide credentials in the Application?
    Web service works fine if I remove the auth basic RESTful web service in the Web.xml file.

    We should NOT use basic auth and auth Weblogic web service definition basic RESTful Workspace use instead. If so, how would we implement THIS basic authentication in the definition of Web Service and the Web SErvice reference on the application?

        p_wallet_pwd        in varchar2 default null ) return clob;

    My point was that using the API makes things easier if you have to look for a solution.

  • SSL and Basic authentication

    Hello
    We have a portal that is configured to use BASIC authentication, and it works fine. We now want to host this portal by using SSL. We have configured the server to use the SSL protocol, but when we try the portal, we are invited to the user and the password and access the portal open fine. The problem comes when we try to click on anything whatsoever. We are constantly confronted with the connection popup. After a few connections that is get a portal that is rendered incorrectly, or we get a 401 error.
    Y at - it something that we do to the web.xml file to make tha app work correctly in SSL.

    Thanks Chris

    You must use the following tag in the Web.XML for the resources you want to access over SSL:

    SecureOrdersEast
    / commands/is / *.
    Publish
    Download

    East
    Manager

    **
    SSL not required
    CONFIDENTIAL*.
    *

    This will allow the resource to be accessed via SSL only.

  • Authentication proxy issues... How IE/Windows handles basic authentication?

    Then... got one the other day, I've not seen before.  Multi-instance, load-balanced ISA environment experiences issues where several services need to be restarted.  Everything is fine, everything is in line with service series restarts a duration of 3 to 5 minutes.

    On a population of end-user well into the tens of thousands, a handful of users under Windows XP, IE v6 to v8, running, start randomly to a login and a password to authenticate to the proxy server.  Authentication is done via AD, of course, but without credentials are accepted.  Usually, if the end user just keeps hitting cancel, their web site is in place.  This occurs sporadically and intermittently throughout the day, however, and we are talking about a handful of users (for example, less than 100 of 50,000).  There is no evidence in ISA logs or logs of the OS.  The fix?  Restart the OS (XP) client.

    We have examined the NTLM issues, IE version problems (couple had even IE6)... nothing seemed to be a compelling evidence on this one.  I have not found any similar discussions, KB articles, etc. so I'm a bit puzzled.

    Does anyone know what either side client that could cause this?  Something unique about the way in which IE/XP manages to a proxy basic authentication...?
