Hello. I work with video files imported for the first time so please bear with me as I'm sure the solution is very simple.

I have a 20 second file flv video of clouds floating in the sky that I bought from a library of stock and want to use it as a backdrop in a flash swf file so that I can overlay other graphics to pictures various throughout the timeline.
The video was imported into the library as an integrated video and automatically created a clip of it. I managed to create more video clips of the timed animated elements, and then in stage 1 I simply 1 framework with a number of layers that contain each movieclip.
I have two minor issues now if. The first is that when I export the swf file, the movieclip of the sky endlessly looping when I need to play only once. I tried to put a stop() action in last picture of the movieclip from Sky, but it doesn't seem to affect him. What I am doing wrong?
The second thing is I want to crop a few seconds the beginning of the movieclip from sky. I tried to remove the frames from the beginning, but simply, it plays the movieclip from the start and makes the shortest mc.

-What this means and how do I fix it so I can import video files to edit?

    =======================================
Movie Maker has problems with the .mpg files... best bet would be
to convert the .mpg files before importing the .wmv format.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Music - wma, wav, .wmv

    See the following article:

Movie Maker 2 - Import MPEG files
    http://www.Papajohn.org/mm2-importing-video-MPEG2.html

    The following freeware can convert:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Format Factory
    http://www.pcfreetime.com/
    (FWIW... you can uncheck
all the boxes on the last screen)

After downloading and installing Format Factory...
Open the program and choose an output folder...
(this is where you will find your files when they are
    converted)

Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

    Select "At?" / OK...
(the? is the format of your choice)

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

    Good luck...

  • First 11 stops when importing video camera DV

I upgraded the operating system Windows 10 and now, importing the video from the camera stops the program and go out automatically.

Instead, I can open and work on projects of creation 11 old.

Director allowed me to import video from the camera, but it was not compatible with the first 11.

After disinstalling and re - install the first 11-64 bit, now the video from the developer is accepted, but still the camera import is not possible.

    What else could I try?

    Thank you

If you want to edit in Premiere Elements, I would recommend capture with DV Win, no MovieMaker. MovieMaker grabs his video to a different file format.

  • His lost when importing video

    Hi, I'm looking for help.

I hope that I describe my problem properly even if English is not my first language.

I use Adobe Premiere elements 13 to edit a video that consists of a few chapters. Each chapter consists of excerpts. Now for a chapter (composed of four clips), I have a problem that some audio do not appear when you import clips. All the clips make it sound when I use other players to watch. With several attempts to shut down the computer, restart the software and reconnect the external hard drive I could solve the problem for three of the clips. But the longest remains difficult. This video is at 06:43 minutes long and filmed with my phone in .mp4 and has sound. I tried several times already and my biggest success was that the audio track showed me a bit of a wave at the beginning but was lost once again (see photo). I gave him the time to load the sound and began an additional project just for this clip, but nothing helped.

I have run out of ideas and hope someone of you can help me!

    Thank you in advance.

First 13 items on what operating system? Have you updated 13 to 13.1 still using Help Menu/updates to date of an open project?

Regarding what a chapter and its 4 files (assumed with the audio and video components)...

    1. what happens if you move these files from the external hard drive to the Local C drive, maybe Windows, my videos folder. Then, import you it into the project with the project add Media/files and folders?

    2. also of concern you mention that you have saved these videos with your mobile phone. Cell phones are known to record using a variable rate. Premiere Elements has problems with the file with variable cadence. The usual recourse is to convert the file with the variable rate one with a steady cadence. This was done in the free program, handbrake. Then you import the H.264.mp4 of brake hand with variable cadence in the Premiere Elements project using Add Media/files and folders of the project.

    3. What do you record with your phone – 1080 p 30 stereo or 1080 p 30 5.1 channels or something else? What is your predefined project after the videos are on the Timeline? See Edit Project Menu/Settings/general and readings for the editing timebase Mode, size of the image, Pixel Aspect Ratio (even if the fields appear dimmed).

Please consider and provide details. Then, we will put the information together to reach a solution. How much detail will be provided as needed.

    Thank you.

  • No Audio when you import videos in the timeline?

Hello everyone. I came across a problem that I can't get my head around.

I tried to import a set of videos I recorded Via an ingame recording software called Overwolf. The clips will work perfectly with audio on VLC + Windows Media Player drive. However, when you import videos to the Prime Minister to be edited, they do not have any audio file attached. I searched around other topics similar to this one and have had no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Alex

    OK, files not real camera.

Still think you should try the brake hand.

What are you - right click the icon on the desktop for Premiere Elements, and then select run as administrator? If so, please return to post 3 where I wrote

You definitely need a user with the privileges of the administrator account. QuickTime as well as Premiere Elements require that. Sometimes a run as administrator (right-click the icon of the program Office) and selecting run as administrator can help. Please check it out. The permissions are important.

  • How can I avoid importing video in Lightroom CC?

    Hi all

I use Lightroom CC on my iMac to catalog my photos, a task I find really perfect for Lightroom.

However, I also use my DSLR for shooting video´s, I have Edit with Final Cut Pro. Lightroom is _not_ a part of the workflow import/editing video, so I really don't want Lightroom for all videos in addition to all my pictures from imports.

    My question is:

How can I setup Lightroom so that it is no longer import videos?

My current workflow is tedious, and really no one I love: I import everything in Lightroom and then manually delete all video´s.

    Your help is appreciated kindly!

    K

LR is not particularly good at separating the types of individual files in the import window. However, some of the third-party plugins generally provide the type of filtering require you. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly which ones do, but you can try this one Rob Cole as starter, http://www.robcole.com/Rob/ProductsAndServices/ImporterLrPlugin/ , or http://www.robcole.com/Rob/ProductsAndServices/OttomanicImporterLrPlugin/

  • Import videos from Canon HF R21

What I have to use the software provided by Canon (Pixela) worthless or can I import my videos in first things 10 or first CS5?

Absolutely NOT use the Pixela software to capture your videos - unless you plan to edit in Pixela.

First of all make sure that 1920 x 1080 video, you draw is 60i. Don't shoot in 24 p, if you plan to edit your video in Premiere Elements.

Then you should start your Premiere Elements project using the project settings for the stereo 1920 x 1080 AVCHD.

Then plug your camcorder into your computer and use Premiere Elements' Get Media / Flip AVCHD or a camcorder to HDD at the port of the video from the camcorder to your computer and in your project.

  • Is fire Wire the only way to import video

and does make a difference in the quality of the resulting video?

    I have:

    Panasonic PV-GS500

    Window 7 64 bit

    Adobe Premiere Elements 10

Desktop Dell XPS 8300 (8 MB RAM)

I don't have a son of the late on the computer connection. I still managed to import my DV via USB (using various programs) and bought the PE10 due notice ("best editor"). I am able to import video, but the output quality is not as good as when I play just the DV on the computer. (I'm also struggling to learn the software - it's quite different than those I've used in the past (Roxio))

When I do a serarch for "fire wire" on support for windows, I get this message:

This version of Windows does not support using IEEE 1394 (FireWire, i.Link, or Lynx, also known under the name) for the Networking.

Does this mean that Windows 7 does not support IEEE 1394 at all?  (I realize that this is probably not a question specifically for Adobe, but I don't know where else to ask about importing video files using wire fire vs USB.)

It is important, because I want to be able to import the old videos and 8mm video from an older camcorder.

If Fire Wire is a MUST for importing video, I'll have to find a way (when it exists) to install a FireWire card and whether or not Windows 7 64 bit is supported.

Frustrating, since I bought this computer for video editing.  Any help/advice/commiseration will be greatly appreciated.

    -Linda

    Linda,

Unfortunately, you have filed for the subforum tips & tricks, which is essentially a repository for articles about how to do things in the meadow. Maybe our tireless MOD, Steve Grisetti, going to it on the main forum, where many people see.

As for IEEE-1394, you would NOT use it for networking. More modern MoBo with an IEEE-1394 controller chip, but almost any card of FW 400 add-on will have those too. At least XP, Windows included support FW 400.

Today, cards add-on begin at about US $8 and go up to around US $60. What you get, as the price climbs, will be more ports, separate controller chips, ideally a / port and then possibly other ports, say USB. I like the SIIG cards, but there are also many other good brands.

With regard to the Capture, which is the process of importing data on mini-DV cassettes, it must be done via FW 400 (a IEEE-1394), to pre. However, other programs may offer alternatives, and as long as there is a DV - AVI file, things should be fine. These DV - AVI files and then just is imported into a project of ger.

    Good luck

  • Import video problem

    Hello

I try to import an FLV in Flash so that I can try doing some basic video editing.

To test if the FLV has been allowed, I chose "load video output with component of reading."  The video loads in and play very well when I hit the game.

But when I try to "Import FLV to SWF" - and play in the timeline, it incorporates just a black graphic.  When I click in the graph, a new timeline opens with about 1000 images, but the whole lot is only black.  This happens no matter if I import an embedded video, movieclip, or chart.

Y at - it a trick to import a video when you want to use Flash as a video editor base?

    Thank you

    Shaun

Flash is not really intended for video editing. And even if you don't have somehow managed to cripple through it, you render it again video... that Flash can do.

For a simple, free, Flash .flv editor:

    http://download.CNET.com/Moyea-FLV-editor-Lite/3000-2168_4-10912717.html

very basic and allows you to edit without re-rendering.

For something more complex, you will need editing software, because you will need to make the edited version after completing editing real video. If you are a beginner with Flash .flv files, so make sure you choose a program that will import the .flv files, because all will be.

A second option is to break the .flv container and extract the audio and video files inside (usually .avi or mpeg video and mp3 audio). Then who will take care of any video editing software.

    FLV Extract:

    http://Moitah.NET/

Then import them into a video editing like VirtualDub software:

    http://www.VirtualDub.org/index.html

It's free and works pretty darn good... and of course... There's also Adobe first CS5.5!

    Best wishes

  • Import videos in LR3

I remember a few notes that LR3 will now import video clips into a catalog. It also seems that the comments said you can not watch or edit the clips, but you can at least catalog them in LR.

Tonight, I tried an import, but when I was running Lightroom to the right folder, it does not recognize the video clip that are stored. The test clip was captured on a Canon Vixia HD camcorder and recorded as AVCHD in an MTS on a PC extension. Now, some of the new Nikon cameras are able to record video clips. Don't know what format they are recorded in maps. Is there something I need to know about import my videos from a folder on my hard drive?

Is this function a bit ahead of its time and not quite ready? I was hoping to test it tonight and was curious if I double clicked a clip if LR or my Windows system would play the clip.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mr. Jackson

LR 3 does not support the AVCHD videos.
