How to Stop/Edit imported video - beginner

Hello. I work with video files imported for the first time so please bear with me as I'm sure the solution is very simple.

I have a 20 second file flv video of clouds floating in the sky that I bought from a library of stock and want to use it as a backdrop in a flash swf file so that I can overlay other graphics to pictures various throughout the timeline.
The video was imported into the library as an integrated video and automatically created a clip of it. I managed to create more video clips of the timed animated elements, and then in stage 1 I simply 1 framework with a number of layers that contain each movieclip.
I have two minor issues now if. The first is that when I export the swf file, the movieclip of the sky endlessly looping when I need to play only once. I tried to put a stop() action in last picture of the movieclip from Sky, but it doesn't seem to affect him. What I am doing wrong?
The second thing is I want to crop a few seconds the beginning of the movieclip from sky. I tried to remove the frames from the beginning, but simply, it plays the movieclip from the start and makes the shortest mc.

I would be grateful for any help
Kind regards
Paul

Hi Gomot
Thanks a lot for your answer. Everything has worked fine now - I was working with the original file used a codec that would not edit.
Kind regards

    I imported a very short video clip on my calendar. I want her to play only once. Then the last frame of the video must remain visible and static, as a background. And I want to start my animation then; After the video once. How do I get there? Now, when I export to SWF, only the video plays and loops. It shows same nothing after that is on the timeline, after the video...

    Thank you

    If your video isn't already on his own script, and select all its frames > click cutting frames > click Insert > new movieclip > paste images.

    then follow the instructions in the message 1.

    Add the video containing the movieclip of the first image in the scenario where you want the video to start playback.

  • First 11 stops when importing video camera DV

    I upgraded the operating system Windows 10 and now, importing the video from the camera stops the program and go out automatically.

    Instead, I can open and work on projects of creation 11 old.

    Director allowed me to import video from the camera, but it was not compatible with the first 11.

    After disinstalling and re - install the first 11-64 bit, now the video from the developer is accepted, but still the camera import is not possible.

    What else could I try?

  • How can I avoid importing video in Lightroom CC?

    Hi all

    I use Lightroom CC on my iMac to catalog my photos, a task I find really perfect for Lightroom.

    However, I also use my DSLR for shooting video´s, I have Edit with Final Cut Pro. Lightroom is _not_ a part of the workflow import/editing video, so I really don't want Lightroom for all videos in addition to all my pictures from imports.

    My question is:

    How can I setup Lightroom so that it is no longer import videos?

    My current workflow is tedious, and really no one I love: I import everything in Lightroom and then manually delete all video´s.

    Your help is appreciated kindly!

    LR is not particularly good at separating the types of individual files in the import window. However, some of the third-party plugins generally provide the type of filtering require you. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly which ones do, but you can try this one Rob Cole as starter, http://www.robcole.com/Rob/ProductsAndServices/ImporterLrPlugin/ , or http://www.robcole.com/Rob/ProductsAndServices/OttomanicImporterLrPlugin/

  • When you have pdf pages combined into one document and change of filling out form content, how it stop edit fields in other pages?

    I am working on always .pdf documents that have fields to fill in form like this http://www.acuitybrandslighting.com/library/ll/documents/specsheets/edg-edgr.pdf document

    I fill out the form and then to combine several different files in 'organise pages', if I make changes to fill the form fields it passes over each similar document. How it stop doing that? Sometimes I need to use the same sheet in the same statement combined with different options in this regard.

    Once you combine a single PDF forms, you need to be able to edit the field values or access data? If this isn't the case, you can flatten each form before you collect in a single PDF file.

    Hello world

    I have the following problem:

    I used this code:

    var youtubevid = $("< iframe/>");

    sym.getSymbol("Page").$("vcontainer").append (youtubevid);

    youtubevid.attr('type','text/html');

    youtubevid.attr('width','396');

    youtubevid.attr('frameborder','0');       // 1 | 0

    youtubevid.attr('allowfullscreen','0');   // 1 | 0

    Inside of the trigger "compositionReady".

    Now what code should I use and where do I add to stop the video to play?

    I tried the JQuery "player.stopVideo ()", but I guess that's not as simple as that...

    The "masquer()" command hides just video, but not stopped, that will be a problem that I have 4 other videos on this webs

    Any ideas would be appreciated

  • How to stop the import function resulting in a gel?

    I use Lightroom 6.0 on a PC running Windows 10 and I was using before Lr5. My Lr5 ceased to be able to import correctly. It kept freezing around 10%. Tried various things offered on the forums.

    Finally gave up and bought a new version 6.0 to solve the problem. Imagine my surprise when even if this did not help.

    I tried to disable the graphics processor acceleration.

    I tried to rename the folder containing both Lr5 and Lr6 preference files and I'm still in the same situation.

    Thanks for the update.

    Would recommend to copy some images on your desktop and then try to import them into Lightroom just to the test application to check if the import process go through.

    try to drag the vob files from the dvd to your hard drive and you can rename it with an extension "mpg" and then put in the editor.

    Hello kekesala,

    Here is the link which contains the steps to perform a clean boot in Windows Vista and Windows 7:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    The link below includes a list of the types of supported files which can be imported into Windows Movie Maker.  You can try to convert the MP4 video to a Windows Movie Maker video file type supported and then try to create the project, or the film.

    Importing files into Windows Movie Maker: frequently asked questions

    If the problem persists when you try to create a new project with Windows Movie Maker and a video file type supported, try to run the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files and then check the issue. To do this, please see the link below:

    =======================================
    Movie Maker has problems with the .mpg files... best bet would be
    to convert the .mpg files before importing the .wmv format.

    Several formats are apparently compatible with
    Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
    Video - wmv or dv - avi
    Music - wma, wav, .wmv

    See the following article:

    Movie Maker 2 - Import MPEG files
    http://www.Papajohn.org/mm2-importing-video-MPEG2.html

    The following freeware can convert:

    (FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
    Restore point before installing software or updates)

    Format Factory
    http://www.pcfreetime.com/
    (FWIW... you can uncheck
    all the boxes on the last screen)

    After downloading and installing Format Factory...
    Open the program and choose an output folder...
    (this is where you will find your files when they are
    converted)

    Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

    Select "At?" / OK...
    (the? is the format of your choice)

    Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

    Good luck...

    I have no idea if it's a firefox problem or a problem add-on, but since the update yesterday, embedded YouTube videos started playing automatically. Obviously, this is not ideal because I won't be stopped whenever I visit some sites, especially when there are several, so does anyone have an idea how to stop this?

    Problem solved, it was a module update which I did not know that I have always used.

    What I tried:
