  You will not lose anything, but the app if you uninstall. If you decide to uninstall use this app to make sure that all the other files which depends on FCE are also deleted however I can't give you any assurance as to whether you will be able to reinstall so that it works correctly. It is a software that has not been supported for almost 5 years and there are conflicting reports as to its compatibility with OS X 10.11. Can't I test it myself.

  Maybe someone else will chime in with their own experiences.

  I just bought a MacBook Air. It runs on the last El Capitan.

  Now, I wanted to create a bootable or installation disc.

  So, I went to the App Store to download El Capitan. I click on the 'GET' button and it changed to 'download '. It has been like this for 2 hours and I don't know if it is loading or blocked... it is because there is no download status to show the download progress...

  Can any kind soul help me with this...

  Check the Dock or Launchpad. It shows usually the with a process bar.

  Small question. I recently bought a new Macbook Air and wanted to download Pages as my word processor. I saw that it was $ 19.99 in the Mac App Store, and I was OK with it, so I downloaded. Now, when I click on 'Bought' applications in the App Store, it mentions Keynote, iMovie, GarageBand, and numbers and download Pages. From then on, I only installed the list Pages because it was everything I wanted in the first place. I get charged for all of these applications? I checked for an e-mail confirmation or a charge on my card and nothing arises again. I get all free?

• El Capitan update won't download

  Hello everyone. For the last few days I tried to download El Capitan.   The dashboard, do you mean the Dock at the bottom (or side, if you changed its position) of your computer desktop? If so, it indicates that an application that was once in the Dock is not found. The application of the installer deletes itself after the race; I guess that the alias in the Dock was not successfully removed.   Be sure to connect to the App Store with the Apple ID, you used when you make a purchase. Then go to the tab purchased for the apps you previously purchased.

• Recovery of Frontpage - organization, download questions

My wife has an extensive site of our Golden Retriever kennel.  Against my advice, she built and maintained on Frontpage, Expression later.  Host says that we have to go forward into something and another not obsolete.  (We can leave there what't fix anything that does not work, but I have to build into something else).

  I used a copy of the MX for years, quite happy.  Not a cutting-edge designer!

  Woman finds herself quite capable of building in DW.  The problem is that in the public Service what she did was to build a page and click on publish.

  To be clear on the difference, on my page for my group, I create a page, have all the images in a folder.  Download page, download all new pix which is hands down in this folder.

  I can't do nothing out how FP organizes things.  There is a list of single file, pages, images, and other stuff, everything in alphanumeric order.

  Woman comes to discover that in the public Service the separate elements of a page does not automatically send with the page.  I need to download the pix individually.

  Lotsa pix.  Not organized.  Beautiful new pages redone, now she has to go through this list huge file and download the pix.  LOTSA PIX.

  MX's 12.  It is obsolete, is supported and well beyond its expiration date.

  You will need to bite the bullet and start with a clean slate.  Because your wife has no experience coding or file management, WordPress may be a better solution all around.   Most Web hosts support WordPress web.  And many have 'a button' your server C-Panel installation.

  (1) I downloaded all 11 parts of SampleAppv207GA_OBI_BP1.zip.001 and unzip them.
  
  (2) I get a single file SampleAppv207GA_OBI_BP1 within which we conduct vmdk Disk1 and vmdk disk 2.
  
  When I tried to unzip the SampleAppv207GA_OBI_BP1 it is said that archive is corrupt.
  
  Did someone in the sameboat? Please let me know

  Have you confirmed that the checksum is the same as posted on OTN?
  Can be one of your zip files has not properly donload. If still can a question, you try to redownload the files of RTO and confirm?

  I have the same problem as many other Windows 7 and FP.  I can download FP 10 but can not use it, there is no icon on the desktop, and flash files do not find the software.

I unloaded flash10 because it froze firefox3.6.  While doing this, microsoft had updated.  After updates ms then computer restart, go to adobe.com, I can no longer download flashplayer.  When I click on download, it seems normal, everything is the same, goes to play flash player games, it tells me that I don't have flash. I do it again and again and again once, but still no flash player. Came to adobe.com, don't have download several times, still no luck?  Each route, I took has me back to Flash download, what does not work for me.  I noticed the download popup, he read: NO APPROPRIATE PLUGINS WERE FOUND

  So when I opened something stored in iCloud on an iPad I first download it. This confuses me because now it is stored in iCloud, but is also stored on my iPad, that really beats the purpose of having first in iCloud. Downloads ever fade? Am I missing something?

  iCloud is a synchronization service, not a backup.   It synchronizes one device to others.  However, to maintain access to the content when offline, it keeps a local copy.

• El Capitan 10.11.6 printer questions

  Upgrade to 10.11.6. Now, none of the two Macbook Pro (mid-2012) will resume the printer (Brother MFC-J5910DW) wireless. Printer contacted Brother - works fine and connected to the WLAN and print with USB. ISP contact - no problem there. Printer compatible with wireless and El Cap re-installed printer use and checked that all the s/w and the drivers are up to date. Looks like a problem El Cap.

  Try to unplug the printer, wait a few minutes and then restart it.

  Please bear with me - I am new to Apple and the MacBook.  I am trying to download Mozilla Firefox, using their free download.  Download appears in my list of downloads, but I can not open it or 'run' by clicking on it.  All I get is a screen that displays the logo of Mozilla and an arrow pointing to the Apple Store logo.  So I obviously missing something, because, no doubt, to my ignorance on OS X.  I can't find instructions on how to do it properly, so my contact with the community.  Thank you.

  Go to System Preferences > Security & privacy > open the lock and authenticate you. If you need to change then to "Mac app Store and identified developers."

  The arrow points probably in your Applications folder, asking you to drag the application in there.

• Clean install of El Capitan, causing all sorts of questions

  I decided to do a clean install of El Capitan on my Macbook Pro 13 "retina end 2014 using sudo command to set up the USB bootable stick with the latest version of os x for the Mac Appstore. Installation of El Capitan appeared flawless in its execution and first start went well. Before the installation, I just formatted the disk by erasing the current drive and creating a new partition that I chose to implement the OSX on.

  Everything seems to be normal and familiar, until I try to log in iMessenger and FaceTime, which, in both cases, does not work after several attempts. Either I was told my internet connection has been lost or authentication failed. In addition to these connection problems, the overall performance of the operating system seems to be awkward and not nearly as smooth with my initial configuration to the factory system.

  I started to wonder if the current version of El Capitan available on the Appstore is flawed and broken? Someone else met weird performance / connection problems after doing a clean installation of El Capitan on their Mac recently?

  I can't use my Mac like this: someone in the support of Apple technology to address this issue now!

  I did the same install clean, but the Apple server.  I'm having the same problem, however, there are several threads of people experiencing the same problem with the new OS X updated on El Capitan and some who use Yosemite said that they have the problem of too!  It is on the end of Apple
