(El Capitan 10.11.5) MacBook Pro keeps freezing
Hello Apple community. So my MacBook Pro freezes constantly and loading things very slowly. It freezes during 10 or minutes at a time, but other times, it is quite well. I recently wiped this MacBook and transferred to the demands of my old MacBook, which has never had these problems. Posted below is my Etrecheck.
Problem: Beachballing

There are several things to consider:
It is a five year old computer, problems are bound to happen sooner or later, so get ready to tha.
First of all, you need to maybe bad RAM. Agents of the launch system, System launch Daemon and your virtual memory information imply that something is eating all of your ram. 4 GB is not much, but it should be more than enough unless it no longer works properly.
My second comment would be the hard drive. Generally, a rotating disc is not a long life in a laptop, being pushed around when the laptop is turned on and was moving. It is possible that you have bad blocks.
Thirdly, it could be your battery. Plain and simple, a dying battery.
The best option at this point would be to make an appointment at the Apple Store and run an MRI (Mac resource Inspection) to detect what can go wrong.

My macbook pro (early 2015) has been working great until about a week ago. It started freezing and now it done very often. IM do not receive a beachball, the mouse pointer remains the same. Im having to restart it manually each time by holding down the power button. This problem began only after I have updated to the version OS X EL capitan 10.11.4. 80 GB of free space so I don't think it's a problem.
All solutions?
Thank you
I had this problem too, like many other people (there is several messages and discussions already). Seems to happen more often with Mac in 2015.
There is nothing to do. I tried a clean install of El Capitan with full SSD erased and 10.11.4 combo update, it did not help; my macbook pro 13 2015 keeps freezing with Safari.
It is related to Safari or a framework/driver related to the browser.
Apple has to fix. Just use Firefox or Chrome.

MacBook Pro keeps freezing and timing after update to El Captain 10.11.15
I have a MacBook Pro, which was previously executed on SCF 10.11.14 2013. I began to see problems before my laptop even turned on! When it is restarted after installation, I got about 60% of the way down the front loading apple bar it has completely stopped. I waited quite awhile (maybe 20 minutes) but no progress on the charge. I did a reboot hard twice before he finally finished (sidenote: both times I restarted, instead of starting at the beginning of the load bar as it should, the load bar would start in the place of 60% that he is stopped at the first time).
It finally comes and I had to open iTunes, Photoshop and Safari so it was very laggy. After working on my laptop for five minutes, the song that I had started doing these breaks, and Photoshop as well froze upwards. I tried to go on Safari, and that's where the beachball replaced my mouse arrow. I tried to use my MB with the only window open (photoshop), but even force weren't no longer works. It just seems to be freezing for longer periods of time.
I ended up doing a hard reboot once again and only with the help of Safari, but this does not work. Hard restart once again tried only using Photoshop and encountered the same problem. This last time, I have Photoshop open, but for some reason, the tools are not answer at all. For example, when you use the Paintbrush tool, you will see a circle in the placement of the classic mouse arrow when you are in the photoshop window. Well, the arrow of the mouse remained and everything I clicked on, as well as two fingers/output action zoom did nothing. Nothing does in Photoshop anyway.
Could someone please, please help me? I'm a photographer and I have a project due to my clients in the morning, and I can't afford this issue right now. I write this on my MB Air, which runs on CBS 10.11.13. I'm afraid to try an install of update on this one!
If nothing can help, can someone tell me how easy and on an empty stomach to downgrade to the previous version of El captain? Thanks a bunch!
There is no easy way to downgrade. He must erase the drive and then reinstall OS X. First, you need a good backup. Or you can try the following:
Try these in order to test your system after each see if it is back to normal:
1. a. reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.
b. Macs with Intel processors: reset of the controller (SMC) system management
2. restart the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart again, normally. If this does not help, then:
Boot to HD recovery: restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and press and hold the
Command and R keys until that Menu Utility screen appears.
3 repair the hard disk and permissions: restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the command and R until the Menu Utility screen opens.
When the Utility menu, select disk utility, and then press the continue button. After loading disk utility select it
indented (in general, Macintosh HD) entry of the list to one side. Click first aid button in the toolbar. Wait for the operation
is over, then quit disk utility and return in the Utility Menu.
4 download and install updated Combo OS X El Capitan 10.11.5.
5 reinstalling OS x: reboot of HD recovery Select reinstall OS X in the Utility Menu and click on the continue button.

My Macbook Pro keeps freezing for short periods
Hello
A new problem started with my Macbook pro in recent weeks. Initially, it was rare, but now he continues to be all a few minutes (it happened as I type this). What is happening is that my current application freezes for a few seconds, then returns to normal, and then the screen freezes. I'll expand a bit: while I'm typing this, suddenly the Safari froze and I just kept typing on, and when I use any action (like a slide four fingers), it works, but will not pass to the other window/app. After that, the kind of display of speeds upward, as it's contagious back in real time after the break (if I'm on vlc, TI video speed looks like 4 x, all the letters, I typd in pages apper as if Im typing God-speed). Then, a few seconds later, the computer will completely freeze, not to accept any user input and then resume as nothing has happened about 5 seconds later. This has happened very often now (I counted 3 times while I typed this place).
Please help me on what I should try to do to solve this problem. Initially, I thought it was a problem of RAM so I borrowed my Mac mini and inserted in my Macbook RAM. He worked as always for about a day, before returning to the State of the problem.

Graphics Intel HD 3000 384
Any other information that you think will be useful, I'll add it.
Thank you in advance for your help!

MacBook Pro keeps freezing after update to Mountain Lion
I've recently upgraded to Mountain Lion since Snow leopard. I use a late 2008 Macbook Pro. Since the upgrade, I'm randomly crashes when you use most of the applications (logic x, VLC, QuickTime) it also freezes when using Mozilla. When it freezes I don't get the option to force quit if I continue to use the power to close button. I really want to continue to use Mountain Lion, because I use several applications up-to-date as logic x and is also compatible with my external sound card. I enclose a newspaper of being as recommended check on some posts here. Any help would be great and thanks in advance

Hello billy.
When point to Mountain Lion? When say 'freeze' you mean the kernel panics? You get a multilingual you requiring window on the eve of your Mac? Your EtreCheck report shows 3 kernel panics. They were before or after you updated to Mountain Lion? If your machine has been seen panicking the kernel before, then it might be a hardware problem. If these panics are new since the Mountain Lion, then it is likely an incompatibility with one of your extensions to core 3rd part. She can relate to those who show 'loaded' in your report of EtreCheck, but it could involve other extensions too, depending on what hardware or software is used.

Please help, my macbook pro keeps closing randomly for a few weeks before. I can't identify what the problem is and I ran diagnostics disk enhancer, etc. anything. I don't understand what is happening. It occurs at random - when opening a site randomly, using a word document, while watching a video, running a double Finder program, etc. There is a common denominator I can say. It is the age of the laptop, or is this a common problem with this OS? Should I consider in Apple store or start saving for a new macbook?
Would appreciate any suggestions/advice/help. Thank you!

MacBook Pro keeps rebooting with panic report
Help, please! Any guidance/information is greatly appreciated! I've been googling and looking here already and don't find anything that helps. I ran extended Apple Hardware Test, and he said: 'no problem found. ' I deleted all the data/history/etc in all browsers. It didn't happen until I updated to the latest version of El Capitan. I first thought it was overheated or something because one thing I think is a model is the average temperature of cpu goes to 95 degrees Celsius, and then the reboot happens (that's why I was browsers of thought or something since I've had a ton of tabs open). I TG Pro to control temperatures of everything and put a rule for the auto fan so when avg cpu is 80 degrees celsius. It helps to keep the cooler, but still reboot happens. Could this be a virus? Is there something that I can install it like a virus scanner to check? I have a machine for backups, but never had time to use it (except for backup on it). Thank you, very much appreciated.
That's what I have:

Try to start safe mode. If it works in Mode safe mode, and then create a new user and see if the panic persists in this user account.
Also: have you recently installed an extra RAM?
If possible, run Etrecheck and publish its report. This will give you a clearer picture of the hardware and software you have.

MacBook Pro keeps restarting after iPhone updated 9.3.5
Given that I didn't have at least a 50% load, I connected my iPhone 6 s to my MacBook Pro (10.11.6) updated the phone to v. 9.3.5. The phone updated fine, but now my Mac keeps on rebooting over and over again. The display shows the Apple logo and progress bar, but there are thin horizontal red lines across the entire screen. When the progress bar is full, the gray screen runs for about 10 seconds and then restarts, and it does the same thing again. I have absolutely no idea what to do. Can anyone help?
Hello robbob116,
Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.
If I understand your message that after upgrading your iPhone 6s to iOS 9.3.5 via iTunes on your MacBook Pro, your MacBook Pro now repeatedly restarts. I know how it is important for your MacBook Pro start correctly for you. The first step I would recommend would be to start up your Mac in Mode without failure. The following article explains the use of Safe Mode and the steps that you will need:
Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

El Capitan over 6 years MacBook Pro?
My wife has a MacBook Pro bought in the summer 2010 under OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. The designation of the model MacBook Pro6, 2 and it has a two-core 2.66 GHz i7 with 4 GB memory DDR3 1067 MHz.
I think I saw at one time or another as a upgrade to El Capitan, offered in a notification window on the screen when it is to use. Although this would simplify issues such as our other laptops are on El Capitan, I'd hate to so she can update to see that there is a big performance gotcha of some type.
Anyone can vouch with certainty that the upgrade of a MacBook Pro of that time at El Capitan is not cause problems that we might regret? (I speak only of performance. As features go, as indicated very know El Capitan.)
Well whatever you want a plan of relief in place before the upgrade. This way you can easily come back if needed.
How to create a clone of startup
Your Mac as however, you can't be happy with only 4 GB of RAM, depending on how you use your Mac.
OS X El Capitan - technical specifications
Update memory:
https://eShop.MacSales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/upgrade
However, you can still download the El Capitan and just quit the installer, this will stop the update pop recalls. The installation program will be sitting in your applications folder
You can check your app compatibility, so there are no surprises.
If you run all the updates on your 10.6.8 in preperation

How well El Capitan is running on MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2008)
One of my Macs is an old 15 "model of MacBook Pro"late 2008 ". I know that it supports El Capitan, but what I wonder is really run him El Capitan? What interests me is the user experience of real life?
My specs are:
Model name: MacBook Pro
Model ID: MacBookPro5, 1
Processor name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor speed: 2.53 GHz
Number of processors: 1
Total number of cores: 2
L2 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus speed: 1.07 GHz
Boot ROM version: MBP51.007E.B06
Version of the SCM (System): 1.33f8
I thought maybe I could take an approach gently gently and install El Capitan on a different hard disk, or maybe partition the internal hard drive and install it on one of the partitions? Any thoughts on this approach?
My internal hard drive is a model 1 TB of Seagate hybrid.
Thank you!
WHU not you install El Capitan on a current your SSHD partition or separate HARD disk and experience it yourself. Much, much better than the experience of others.
Ciao.

When I upgraded my MacBook Pro to El Capitan, the F4 key that allows to display the date, time and calendar has stopped working. Anyone know if this is not supposed to want to work more? Or how I can quickly display the date and time as I'm used to using the F4 function key?
On my Mac running 10.11.2 which brings to the top of the dashboard. I think that there are now three different ways to make in the face of dashboard elements, which seem completely obscure to me. I just set mine to do what he did originally come in an overlay with the widgets running.
Look in System Preferences > Mission Control...
to halfway to the bottom of the box:
Dashboard: {as overlay, like space, Off}

Problems with El Capitan and using my MAcBook Pro password.
After I down loaded El Capitan, I wasn't able to use my password to connect to my MacBook Pro. The only way I can enter now is to restart Safari guest mode, only it can I use my password and log in as myself. Someone knows how to solve this problem or how to get rid of El Capitan and return to Yosemite.
Thank you

MacBook Pro keeps coming back to old name
I changed my name on my MacBook Pro, but every time I connect a new device, the old name happens. The new name is still there in users and groups. Is there something different I have to do?
Hi katesiemens,
I understand that you are trying to change the name of your account on your MacBook Pro, but see the old name when connecting to other devices. Fortunately, the steps described in the section called "changing the account name and the name of the folder" in the article below, while a good bit more complex, will perform the desired change.
See you soon!

MacBook Pro keeps having to start
After using my MacBook Pro and then I let it go to sleep I have to re - start. I always get an error message saying that there was a problem. I don't know what to do. Here is the text of the error message output. I thought that I post the message here hoping that someone can understand what is being said and I hope tell me some sort of solution or point me to a tutorial.

The Error Message
There is a lot of mention about the apple.driver. This strange I did ' think that used Mac drivers.
