    Thank you very much

    Yes it will work in a 3.1 based on:

  • Resolution of the problems of El Capitan and Mac Pro GT 120?

    When El Capitan came out, I've updated my Mac Pro 4.1 which has three screens on three GT 120 s.  It was a disaster.  I need three screens and buy new maps for El Capitan is illogical.  Can someone tell me if this has been resolved now?

    Yes, the logging problem with several graphics cards has been resolved in 10.11.3 or perhaps a little earlier.

  • FCPX El Capitan new Mac Pro SLOW

    I just add a new computer to our edit arsenal. It's a Mac Pro 2.7ghz - 12 CORE - 30 MB L3 cache - with 64 GB of DDR3 - 1 TB of Flash storage memory - Dual AMD over-pants D700 6 GB VRAM - essentially the full load Mac Pro.  10.2.2 FCPX running

    Why my not make happen almost instantly?  I put in back made in 0.3 seconds.  It seems to me with all this power - this thing has absolutely scream - and yet I don't see a significant difference between the calculation of my MacBook MONOCŒUR i7 with 16 GB DDR and this monster.  My MacBOOK works always - Yosemite, but my new computer came with El Capitan.  I was able to get this added to our budget by telling our Board of how long it would save.  $10,000 for a computer, it must blow my mind. It's also take about a full minute to FCPX bring up a project when I start.

    With rendered BG set this short interval of time. you have tapped on the brakes in FCP constantly. (This isn't actually rendered BG; he makes during periods of inactivity.). My suggestion would be to turn it off. With this kind of horses, you shouldn't make except for the more complex compositions. Or if you need to before export.

    If turn off made does not improve things a bit, I begin to wonder about the project - if there was something on the media - or an effect that was driving the MP to madness. Something like the reduction of the noise applied to a long clip really bind any machine in knots.

  • Unable to connect more then 2 monitors for Mac Pro end of 2013

    I was wondering if anyone had this problem and found a solution.

    The Mac pro (end 2013) model that I have would not work with 3 or more screens, little matter what I do. Even if him are all connected to separate buses. Only 2 would work at any given time. When I cut the work one, one nonfunctional lights.

    They are related:

    Computer-> Thunderbolt to HDMI-> monitor

    Computer-> Thunderbolt to HDMI-> monitor

    Computer-> monitor-> HDMI/DVI

    Setting up and connecting cable is not a problem here, because I tried a lot of different ways to connect with different types of monitors.

    Just replaced a new video card and the problem still there.

    am I missing, or hurt?

    any idea is aprisiated!

    Mac is unable to produce interfaces to more than two screens "legacy" levels of tension necessary to keep them from dropping out. You need an ACTIVE adapter for some of these screen to run more than two (including the interface HDMI built-in, that counts as if connect you something). poster "legacy" is other than DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort

    Adapters ASSETS have re-drivers of signal in them, that's why they are more expensive. As long as you stay under 1920 wide, you don't ask the very expensive adapter Apple DVI Dual-Link, $ 100.

  • Silent, quick config RAID for Mac Pro DAW

    I'm looking for ideas for storage configuration for my Mac Pro ' 09. This is the heart of a campus radio station / recording studio. The machine is a beast, and it serves my purposes very well. That said, the storage on board certainly needs an upgrade. Recently, I ran DriveDx to check the health of disks, and several of them are almost 30,000 hours. Right now, we lack a RAID 0 2 x WD RE3 750 GB (circa 2009) and 2 x Seagate 750Go (to 2008). Disks run without problem, but they are relatively slow and old (max ~100MB/s WD; ~75MB/s Seagate). In addition, I'm really not comfortable running a raid interlaced offshore of different styles of hard drives.

    I am looking to buy four new disks. Here's my wish list:

    Minimum of 1 TB of capacity

    Optimized RAID

    Reliable

    Quiet

    Relatively fast

    Not horribly expensive

    Does anyone have advice? I've been looking around for a while, but it has been difficult to find a good combination of these features. Or, if you have any other ideas I'm open to that as well. Thank you!

    Mac Pro 4.1

    2.26 GHz 4 x 2

    32 GB OF RAM

    3 x GeForce GT 120

    You can install one or more SSD Drives slightly faster than the 375 M bytes/s supported by the drive bays and get excellent results and not need a RAID at all.

  • Commitment to Apple for Mac Pro line?

    I have a Mac Pro (early 2008), which gave me eight years of service. Good enough. I hope that press another year out of it, put my money and then upgrade to a new Mac. My (non-Apple) local service guy tried to talk to me in an iMac and pointed out that the current Mac Pro 1) is probably overkill for 99% of what I do (photography) and 2) do has not been updated by Apple since 2013. It is #2 that concerns me the most. What is the general consensus on the commitment Appleʻs to line up of range Mac Pro?

    A top of the line iMac is a very powerful computer.

    4 GHz quad core i7, 32 GB RAM, 4 GB graphics, SSD 1 TB or 3 TB Fusion by car, 5K display, a 5K or two external displays 4K, 2 ports Thunderbolt.

    The only benefits of the Mac Pro are:

    Multiple cores CPU (low speed) and a second graphics card, which will be useful if you do a lot of video rendering.

    The Thunderbolt ports more, displays more (low resolution) and a lot of simultaneous disk transfers.

    I agree that the Mac Pro is excessive.  Regarding Mac Pro upgrades, until Intel releases significantly better class server CPU and 3 stroke, it is not much Mac Pro, upgrade for Apple to do.  They do not sell enough to make small annual updates is worth.

    [Note: this should probably be punted the Hardware section]

    You have several choices, depending on things like budget, and if you need/expect commercial support for the card.  The least expensive and most effective option would be to go get MacVidCards on EBay.  Just look for this exact word on EBay and hunt around for its EBay page.  Dave takes on PC nVidia cards and makes them compatible with Mac Pro EFI, so that they can start successfully, view the grey Apple screen and run at full speed.  nVidia will not support that, nor will Apple and retailer of the card or the will.  But, you will have access to cards that have historically been PC only.

    On the other end of the spectrum of: grand prize and less performance, you have nVidia Mac-specific maps.  Some of them are listed here.  I would not recommend any of them, but you will get the support of the end user of any manufacturer buy you from.

  • After Effects does report that 2 GB of RAM for Mac Pro AMD D700 GPU

    When I go to After Effects > Preferences > previews > information GPU app reports that my computer is an AMD D700 GPU for OpenGL.  It's very well, however, he also stated that the total memory is 2,00 GB, which is well below the 6 GB of VRAM, the GPU is believed to have.  Any ideas why this happens?

    The incorrect statement of the amounts of VRAM is fixed in the next update:
