EliteBook 2540p: HP laptop p 2450 ram upgrade.

I was wondering what the maximum amount of ram can be installed and at what speed, voltage or latency can be used. The vehicle currently has 2x2gb 1066 I think.

Hello

Its specifications:

Memory standard SDRAM DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333 MHz) *.
Two SODIMM slots supporting memory dual channel
1024 MB, 2048 MB and 4096 MB SODIMM
Maximum expandable to 8192 MB with 4096 MB SODIMM in the performance of units 1 and 2 two-channel Maximized dual channel requires SODIMM of the same size and speed in the two memory channels.
* Memory bus runs at 1066 MHz maximum.

NOTE: The standard nature of non-industrial of some third-party memory modules, we recommend HP
memory to ensure the compatibility of brand. If you mix memory speeds, the system will occur at least
Speed of memory. Total availability of 4 GB or more of memory requires a 64-bit Windows operating system or
Linux. With 32-bit Windows operating systems, the amount of memory used depends directly of your
configuration, while 3 GB that precedes all memory is not available due to system resource requirements.

  • EliteBook 9470 m stops after the Ram Upgrade

    Hey guys
    I bought 2 Kingston 8 GB of Ram for my HP Elitebook Folio 9470 m (Windows 8 Pro) be upgraded to 8 GB to 16 GB. According to "Memory search" of the Kingstons the RAM I bought should work with my laptop:

    Module 8 GB - DDR3 1600 MHz

    Weight: KTH - X3C / 8G

    Yes, it should work. I checked the site of Kingston and memory is specifically recommended for your model. I try every Kingston module separately with the HP module and run a comprehensive test of memtest on it.

    http://Memtest86.com/download.htm

    Create a bootable usb stick with memtest cd and run it on each module. I suspect that you got a bad stick of RAM. At least if it doesn't not Kingston is very reputable, and they will refund your money.  This is proposed by Crucial memory:

    @ancientnotebook

    There is nothing you can do to increase the RAM above 8 GB, and there is nothing more than 8 GB of RAM make for this computer is not better, in any case. You don't tell us what exact processor, so you I guess I was right to say that you have the Bay Trail. It is not possible to buy a bargain laptop and turn it into a street racer.

    @srinivaskrishna

    same thing for you. You don't need or your laptop get memory "Sport". This will probably work, but this type of memory performance was aggressive timings that may make them incompatible. It seems Crucial he recommends for your model laptop so they must be tested. Would have picked up something more plain vanilla, I'm sure it will work.

    I'm sorry that you are unhappy.  Many of us have at least one computer for which there is no drivers Windows 10.

    @WAWood explanation essential, sad.

    HP has provided the documentation about upgrading / migrating to Windows 10.

    The documents include the following...

    Comment

    Depending on your situation, i.e. the model and Setup on your specific computer, the system can work properly on Windows 10 using the drivers and software available through updates of Windows 10.

    Now that your computer was successfully migrated to Windows 10 - If you want - use the 'Back' of the migration feature to restore your computer to its previous version of Windows.

    Upgrade to Windows 10: FAQ

    See: can I go back to my old operating system?

    The 'Back' feature is sensitive to time (one month); You can decide to turn back now, and then reinstall Windows 10 (on this same system) at a later date.

    See: can I reinstall Windows on my PC 10 after the upgrade?

    Good luck.

    Hi all

    I want to upgrade the RAM in my Elitebook 2540p to 8 GB or (if possible) to 16 GB.

    It comes to the information contained in the HP (http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02206692) website:

    @Alex_C1

    You are right that the 8 GB is your max.

    You are limited by the memory of the CPU bus.

    It seems that the CPU of your model can be 8GB.

  • computer laptop nx9010 RAM upgrade

    My nx9010 came with 128 MB of ram and a location empty available. Doc support HP nx9000 States series 'use PC2100 DDR - 266 MHz or higher RAM only'. Review of messages of RAM upgrade for nx9010 on this forum, I see only PC2700 used. I can only assume PC2700 DDR - 266 MHz or higher version is ok for my machine?

    Yes PC2100 becomes a bit difficult to find. You can use PC2700, also known as the DDR333 and he will almost certainly be great downclock. If you buy a large public site crucial.com lite or kingston.com and buy specific modules recommended for your laptop, they will ensure the compatibility but you are very sure to get the best deal, you can at any old laptop DDR333 and install.

  • HP 2000-2110TU laptop: RAM upgrade

    I want upgrede RAM in my laptop.  What RAM capacity is supported by my laptop. which RAM company is the best?

    Supports 8192 MB RAM system in the following configurations: ● 8192 MB (4096 MB × 2;

    DDR3/1333 MHz dual channel support (downgrade/DDR3 1600 MHz at DDR3-1333)

    Your manual

    See page 39 for "how-to". Your specified 4-gig module:

    Module memory 4 GB (PC3 12800, 1600 MHz) 652972-001

    https://www.Amazon.com/HP-10600-579155-001-MMH6114-652972-001/DP/B003L27BB0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1475677829 & SR = 8-2 & Keywords = 652972-001

    It comes to DDR3-1600 and DDR3-1333 1.5 volt memory. None of the "general public" memory manufacturers; Kingston, Crucial, Samsung will have compatible memory and I would stick with them. Try to match what you already have... as many blocks on the side of the module, same side for CL. This will ensure a faster operation dual channel.

    Hello

    Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum. Welcome!

    Officially, your computer does not support Windows 10 because it is an old model. Supported are only Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

    > > http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=4138317

    Windows 10 was created not even when Windows 10 has arrived.

    Although not officially supported, if you plan to install and test with Win 10, you can view the ID of the material missing material and someone might be able to find some for you (but no guarantee). Instructions > > http://www.wikihow.com/Find-Hardware-ID

    Personally, I would recommend that you take advantage of this computer with Windows 7. You have a wonderful notebook with excellent hardware configuration and nice operating system that will be supported by 2020. Something that usually works fixing it breaks
