T530 - 2 external monitors via VGA Splitter

Is it possible to connect 2 external VGA monitors to my T530 via a VGA splitter? If not; What should I do 2 possible external VGA monitors?

DualHead2GO and Triple Head2Go will treat the external monitor as a large screen. For example, you have 2 x 1920 x 1200, connected to the DualHead2Go, the computer will recognize the external monitors as a monitor resolution of 3840 x 1200.

  • Latitude E6440 display blink when connect you to an external monitor via hdmi to VGA Converter

    Hi Dell Community,

Please help me diagnose what's wrong with my new laptop.

My laptop is Dell Latitude E6440, but whenever I connect external monitor to my laptop HDMI via HDMI port to the converter VGA, the external monitor still flashes randomly every two seconds. This VGA HDMI converter / works fine when I used it on the other laptop.

Currently I still have the chance to try my laptop HDMI port to connect directly to a HDMI monitor because I don't.

Is it that someone has the same problem with me? Thanks for your help.

Dell currently manufactures replacements of main card to resolve this problem. They will be available at the end of July. Please make sure you have a current subscription and contact support to be eligible for replacement.

  • Connect external monitor via the VGA port > > BSOD

    Hi all

I have a laptop Acer Aspire V3-772 and I had an (obvious) problem. When I connect an externel to my VGA port my laptop freezes. After that I restarted my laptop (still connected to the monitor via the VGA input) I get the following BSOD:

    video_tdr_failure igdkmd64.sys

This error I've read on the internet has nothing to do with the video card intel. On this laptop, there intel 4600 internal videocard. There is also a second video card which is geforce gtx 760 m.

I updated my system completely and everything works fine. Except the VGA port.

I tested my HDMI port that works correctly, open the same screen/monitor connected via the VGA input it freezes / BSOD.

One give me advice on what could be the cause?

is this hardware or software really? I think that the software. In any case I'll try to install the older version of the video card driver intel. I'll post if it works.

I would like to have some advice on this issue.

    Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. I tried already. HDMI works very well but even VGA displayport monitor (so double male vga cable) causes system hang still > BSOD.

I did a factory reset. Same result.

    Conclusion... Its a hardware problem.
I'll contact support so they can pick up my laptop for repair.
I lost my weekend for this problem.

I'll change this topic as resolved since it's associated mobo (intel grappics card).

    Computer details:
NTEL (R) 965 Express Chipset Family graphics card

    Windows Vista Edition Home Premium

Recently, I connected my laptop to my HDTV UMC of 22 "via a VGA cable. It worked fine for about a month, until the day my TV says 'no signal' when I tried to connect to the laptop. Now, I tried the last month trying to solve this problem and have had no luck.

I tried unistalling and reinstalling the display driver, changing the resolution, tinkered with each parameter but without success.
My laptop recognizes that there is an attached monitor and when I press FN + F5 and scroll through the different options of the computer knows that the monitor is there, but the style of TV says 'no signal '.

I know this isn't the TV which is faulty, I connected laptop computer Sony my father on my TV via VGA, and the TV display Sony laptop screen.

PC World wanted me £40 just to "have a look" load which I of course said no because this can be something simple to solve.
I could be wrong, but I hope someone has a solution for me.

    Hello

For me, it would be interesting to know if you have tested this laptop output VGA on different TVs?

PS: Have you checked the BIOS settings?
There is a tab called display. Please change the settings and check if you can activate the display (signal) on external LCD.

  • Satellite L30-149, only works with external monitor and VGA mode

Satellite L30-149, Windows XP Home Edition

Yesterday I did face the following problem:

I swithched on my laptop but I have nothing on the screen. I tried to reboot several times, but it did not help. If I look very carefully, I see the logo of Intel (black text on white on the screen) but nothing else. The logo shows very low.

I plugged on the external monitor. With that he gives a little more. The Intel logo with the instruction how to reach configuration etc. Then Windows logo but when it should ask the user, the external monitor going to sleep mode and nothing happens after that.

And an external monitor, I managed to connect to Windows in safe mode and also in VGA mode. In VGA mode, I tried to change the resolution, after that I got black screen again and I had to start.

Now I wonder if I could do something (update of drivers, etc.) or should I go to the store where I bought the laptop and ask them to fix it. This look like a problem covered by the warranty?

Upgrade to this message (what happened after that I wrote the above text).

I turned on the laptop again. I thing the lightning from the room is now better because I noticed that the laptop seems to work (almost) correctly. Windows starts normally, I can faintly see the desktop. This seems to be a problem in the background ligthning. FnF7 does not change the situation.

    This sentence is very interesting.
Sounds like a question of FL-ups!

It is a small part behind the screen and control the backlight of the screens.
Usually, this part is not very expensive and the replacement is not complicated to a technician for laptop.

If your warranty is valid, then everything should be done for free.
Try to contact the ASP in your country and ask for later handling.

  • Unable to connect 2 external monitors via the Port Replicator using Portege Z30 - 16U

    Hi all

I need hell, I just moved from another laptop for Portege Z30 - 16U, I spent hours trying to connect my 2 external monitors to my Replicator Port Hi-Speed III 120W, but my laptop will see a monitor.

I used 2 external monitors with my laptop for years because I do a lot or reading and I don't want to use the one and the laptop screen.

I tried the mixture of a VGA and a HDMI and VGA cables, but nothing works.

Can anyone tell me how I can connect and discover 2 external monitors with this laptop and port replicator, I can't believe that this is not possible, it makes no sense that Toshiba would then technilogically behind other laptop manufacturers.

    Thank you

    Liga

    Hello

I'm not familiar with the Z30 Portreplicator, but the general behavior of the replicators of the double-displayconnector, is that 1 can be used.
    Not 2 simultaneously.

I could be wrong, and you should easily be able to check it out - use only 1 at a time.
    First, then the other.
If the two works when used alone, then my suspicion is right.

    I hope this helps!

  • Max Resolution for external monitor via HDMI on Lenovo Y700?

    Hello

I hope that someone has experience with external monitors on a computer laptop y700.

I would like to ask if my laptop Y700 supports resolutions higher than 1920 x 1080 for external displays via HDMI.

    My model is:

    https://www.Amazon.de/Lenovo-i5-6300HQ-quad-core-Prozessor-Betriebssystem/DP/B016QB9HZK/ref=sr_1_2?i...

    I want to use a monitor with a resolution of: 2560 x 1080

    https://www.Amazon.de/DP/B00TF0X37I/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&ColId=31RP1ZDSM66ZA&colii...

Is this possible with my laptop. And it is even possible to connect a 4K screen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

So finally, I tried to connect my laptop to a 2560 x 1080 widescreen-resolution-display via HDMI in an electronics store:

THIS MARKET! It is not a problem to run it with 2560 x 1080 at 60 Hz. The only problem might be a 4K resolution screen that it only works with 30 Hz, because it's an HDMI 1.4 port.

  • laptop connected to an external monitor with vga cable issues?

    1The votefavorite

I use a Sony Vaio e series laptop running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, which I always connect to an external monitor with a VGA cable.

I put graphics options to display only on the external monitor and I would like to close the lid of the laptop. In the power settings I put it do nothing when the lid closes.

When it is connected to the external screen I am able to look at the screen very well if the lid of the laptop is open. But whenever I close the lid, the display on the external monitor is turned off.

I have tried everything I can think of as the use of a keyboard to toggle the display, change the plan to plug the monitor off before and after and even more, to much to list etc.

I actually did it on my HD TV using a Hdmi cable that allows me to close the lid. But I want to use it only on my monitor that is sadly only VGA.

I know I'm not alone here, I found many forums on the same issue, but nobody seems to have an answer. It is always with the help of a VGA cable when I find others with the same problem.

Does anyone know where a response?

It seems either VGA may be quite old now since the introduction of HDMI, that Microsoft has not bothered to look on this or get out an update to resolve this issue. Sorry it's just very frustrating because cannot find an answer, and I don't like the laptop overheating or wasting money on energy.

    (1) right click on your power Option icon on the taskbar

    (2) will take you to Options below

    Control Panel:

Choose what closing the lid"this choice is the 3rd in your list of choices

The next screen will allow you to configure your choice:

    When I close the lid:

    On battery: do nothing and

    Plugged in: Do nothing

This will prevent your system/video to go to sleep or stopping

    Hope this helps

  • Qosmio x 70-A-12-question on the use of the external monitor

    Hello

am about to buy an external monitor and I was wondering what would work with my laptop.
I want to it works like an additional surface (not a copy of my current screen) with both screens at the same time working.

My laptop seems to have a VGA port and an HDMI port.
I've already tried via the HDMI port with an old - probablybroken-monitor, but that has not worked.
I don't know if this is due to the screen or my laptop.

I also tried to search for VGA monitors, but when I checked the specs for my laptop, it does not list it could connect a monitor via VGA...

Anyone know what would be really work?...
    Thanks in advance!

As you have already said: the laptop supports the VGA monitor (RGB) as well as the output port HDMI output port.
So, you can use one of the ports to connect the external monitor.

Today, the HDMI port is a standard interface that is supported by almost all external monitors and I recommend to use the HDMI connection. HDMI supports digital signals and provides the best image quality.

So it s your choice now to choose a good external monitor work.

I have an envy TouchSmart 17 t-j100 Quad edition with a Nvidia GeForce GT 740 M graphics card. It has only a HDMI port, no DisplayPort, DVI, VGA port no port.

I looked for it in the product specification, but do not see it.

Whatever the graphic subsystem as UMA, 740M, 750M, or 840 M. It HDMI v1.4 output supports up to resolution of 1920 × 1080 @ 60 Hz.
