EliteBook 8560p: Windows 7 recovery

Hello

HP Elitebook 8560p more than 3 years old. It came with OEM preinstalled Windows. Unfortunately I do not have his recovery media / installation disk partition. I have the product key. Is there a way I can download windows 7 USB/DVD media or online and use my product key. Mircosoft usually suspended since February 2015 download service. When I tried to by providing my key, they asked contact manufacture for OEMS.

Thank you

Ali

Hi, Ali:

HP only sells laptop recovery disks by calling.

There is no download available.

If you live in the USA/Canada, call this number to order a game...  1-800-334-5144.

Have the serial number of the PC handy to give to the customer service rep.

If you do not live in the USA/Canada, I found this rather old Professional PC HP support phone number list by country.

I hope that the number for the country you live in is still valid.

  • HP Power Assistant causing audio/video Stutter - laptop Elitebook 8560p, Windows 7 x 64

    Hello

I recently noticed periodic audio and video on my new laptop I wanted me to rid of stuttering. I did not notice the stuttering when I bought the computer a few months ago, and if my memories are good it seemed initially after some recent automatic HP updated a few weeks ago.

The stuttering happens about every 30 seconds and occurs for any playback video or audio source (cd, youtube, itunes, etc.), with only about 5% CPU and about 30% of physical memory use average. I followed the stuttering to coincide with a small wave 3-4% CPU of a WmiPrvSE.exe process. This process runs and the rise of the CPU occurs regardless of program initiation or reading after start-up, I just noticed cause stuttering during playback audio and video. After further investigation, when I kill the HP Power Assistant, the CPU and stop stuttering video, although the same WmiPrvSE.exe process remains (since I assume it's used by a lot of things?). I stopped the HP Power Start Wizard at startup (using msconfig), which solved the problem without having to stop every time I turn on the computer myself.

Now, I'm content to let this be my system, but the HP Power Assistant is an interesting tool to track the energy consumption, performance, etc. and I think that it should not cause stuttering audio and video, especially with such a small CPU surge. Also has anyone seen this problem? Is this a problem with the HP Power Assistant or could there be something more vast I only put a patch on?

    Thanks for any input.

  • HP elitebook 8560p, windows 7 Professional 64-bit, freezing issues

My HP elitebook 8560p running windows 7 64 - bit professional had freezing problems. Every few minutes, or if the computer crashes apparently a moment. This may seem like it isn't a big problem, but the sound during this period plays like a little annoying buzz through speakers and headphones. This happens no matter what program plays the sound. Another problem is that during that time what ever I am pressing on is not pressed. so when I write an essay of 5 pages and every few lines does a letter at random, I have a problem. Any advice?

    Hello:

Install an earlier version or uninstall it and see what happens.

This isn't an essential part of the software.

  • No sound from HP - 8560p, windows 7 64 bit elitebook docking station

I was issued a laptop Elitebook 8560p for use with a 90 W HP Docking station at work.  When the laptop is plugged into the docking station, the port ' audio out ' of the docking station does not work.  The sound continues to come out of the computer laptop speakers, or, if I plug the headphones into the headphone for laptop, it comes out of the helmet.  Plug the headphones into the Docking Station does not all the sounds (either of the two audio ports - in or out).  When the laptop is plugged into the docking station, no additional reading device does appear in the audio menu - just an output HDMI AMD (disabled) and speakers (activated).

The speakers/headphones on the laptop works fine, the problem is just that the docking station is in no way "replica" or the audio output support and it's as if the port of the enclosure of the dock just weren't there.  So, I could use my headset by plugging directly to the laptop, but this really seems to defeat the whole concept of a docking station.  All other ports (video, usb) seem to work on the docking station.

    I am running Windows 7, 64-bit.

I reinstalled the sound driver (for laptop) so that the laptop was plugged into the dock.  That did the trick.

  • HP EliteBook 8560p: can not turn on WiFi: the button is orange, and nothing happens when you press

    Hello

I have a problem with my wifi. The button always orange and nothing happens when I press on it: no errors, no message, no reaction at all. This is why I can't use WiFi.

The laptop is a little new: I use only 2 months.

    1. number and product name

    HP EliteBook 8560p
    НР LQ589AW

2 operating system installed (if applicable)

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    3. error message (if any)

    No error message

    4. all changes made to your system until the problem occurred

My windows crashed and I got it from archive created a few days ago. Archive includes all data from hard drives, the system has been restored exactly as it was before the accident. I still don't know if this caused the problem (or if the problem occurred after that): it happened a month ago, and I had no WiFi available at the time and only tried to turn it on a few days ago.

    Additional details:

In device manager wireless card is appearing as functioning normally. In the management of the adapter Wi - Fi is on but says "no connection available. If I run diagnostic tests, he asks me to activate WIFI with a button on my laptop, which I can't do. In Mobility Center, it says "connection Wi - Fi is turned off". Activate the button is gray and impossible to click on.

    I already tried things:

    1. Reinstalled all the HP drivers from original CD.
    2. Card WiFi removed in the windows Device Manager (remove device), restarted windows, installed new drivers for it, rebooted again;
    3. Checked the mobility Center as suggested in one of the threads available on this forum;
    4. Do a hard reset for HP laptop (battery removed, push the button and hold for a minute).

    Thanks for any help!

    Anatoliy.

I managed to solve the problem...

Turns out that the problem was (apparently) caused by HP Power Assistant tool shipped with my laptop. Default profile has been showing the gray bluetooth and WiFi, and it was not possible to turn them on. I created a new profile, and even if all the parameters are identical to the default profile, it allows me to turn the BT and WiFi and turn off without any problems. Button is working fine now as well and goes from blue to orange when I press it. Active WiFi and it works.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi all

Has taught I'll let you know that I found the solution to my problem, it was a problem to do with the equipment in particular the keyboard a keyboard of spare lying around which I taught I'll swap out and it worked right as close as possible to the keyboard worked everything suddenly I restarted several times to confirm and is until it worked.i also wanted to do further investigation to see what part of the keyboard did not work because it has two cables Ribbon one for the point stick and one for the real keybaord.i unplugged the cable Ribbon key point and just left the ribbon cable to the keyboard in the machine and both right-click and left-click now was not working so I decided to pass cable point Ribbon stick from the work at a keyboard was not working and plugged the keyboard original back and all the buttons worked even the right so guilty was the Ribbon for the point stick cable.

Problem with the HP EliteBook 8560p with Bios Update to F.63 RevA. After the download and installation failed message:

The file system (C:\SWSetup\SP76205\ROM. CAB) BIOS update is missing or damaged. THE system BIOS does not update.

    How to solve this problem?

First: download and try to install the Bios update F.63, it will fail - don't worry.

Second: to check what type of the ROMA family and ROM date do you have, press F10 on the laptop at the start run the configuration utility and then view the file system information.  You should see: 68SCF or 68SCE, double check and write it on paper.

Third: Start computer laptop back to Windows

-go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206 and rename 68SCF or 68SCE in ROM (a single file if you aren't sure go to step: second)

-go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206\hpqflash and rename 68SCF or 68SCE in ROM     (a single file if you aren't sure go to step: second)

    Finally:

go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206 and do a HPQFlash right-click and run as administrator

    or

go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206\hpqflash and do a HPQFlash right-click and run as administrator

To sit and watch, do not touch your laptop up to the moment where you see Windows login.
