Elliptical selection tool - "no attention WARNING: no pixels are selected to more than 50 percent." The edges of the selection will be not visible.

I am convinced that it is a bug in Photoshop CC 2014. I am on Windows 7, 64-bit. The 2014.2.2 version, and the version is 2014.204.r.310 x 64. If I select a zone by using the Rectangle tool, the area is described as usual. However, if I use the elliptical selection tool and select the same area, I get the warning. Even if I fill the region using the paint bucket, I always get error if I try to select using the elliptical framing box. Is always successful with the rectangle. I've seen other users re issues. the lasso tool with the same behavior and warning. The usual answer has been put at the edge of the feather to 0. However, it is by default (on my system) to 0.0. Using the selector to improve the contour and by replacing the value 0 (or any other value) makes no difference and in fact after this and clicking OK, the warning screens.

Is this a bug with the elliptical selection tool? I've updated Photoshop just before submitting this question, and the behavior is unchanged.

Hi irwin,

There are different possibilities to solve this situation. Try one of the following options;

  • Decrease the radius of softening of the selection tools,
  • Increase the size of the selection
  • Increase the size of the image (this may decrease the quality of your image),.
  • Ignore the warning message and keep going to work on your file (remember that your selection is still there).
  • Also, make sure that you selected and the targeting of the correct layer.

You may prefer to set the feather to zero in on the selection tools and use the pen (Ctrl + Alt + D) command for each specific selection. Using the feather command does not change the parameter of smoothing (zero value) on selection tool, so you don't need to wory on previous selections feather RADIUS.

Let us know if that helps.

Kind regards

Try the Firefox Safe Mode to see how it works there. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

    Original title: Mr

Recently, the "Select text" pointer has become virtually invisible, because it became almost exactly the same color as the background. It becomes visible when it passes over the text on the screen. The problem affects only the pointer "Select text": other pointers such as "select Normal ' are not affected and remain clearly visible. The pointer only "disappears" when you move the cursor on a 'text' of the screen area.

Try to change the system pointer in the mouse control panel:
Go to control panel-> double click on the mouse-> in the mouse properties box, click on on the "Pointers" tab-> sub select "Schéma" a different pattern and check, you can then return to the previous regime if you want.

    Data (e :)) 47.4 GB without 54.6 en)

My question is: can I shrink data (e) by say 30 GB and, if I do this, which will allow me to Vista (c) 30 GB?

    Thank you

    > My question is: can I shrink data (e) by say 30 GB and, if I do this, which will allow me to Vista (c) 30 GB?

I think that this is not possible using the own Windows settings because partition E is placed after the C partition.
If you decrease the E partition then you would get free space after the partition E and you could not add this to C.

I think that you should use an external application.
    I use GParted-http://gparted.sourceforge.net/

It is a free tool, I think you have to shrink the partition D in order to get some free space between C and D. Then you can add free space to C

Can this be fixed in windows 8?

I bet my bottom dollar that article applies to Windows 8 as it does for Windows 7.  A lot of old registry setting the date of return to Windows 95 and is still present in later operating systems.

You have this registry key, you should?

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

The article requires YOU to create a new key called "MultipleInvokePromptMinimum" and to give it a value of 15 decimal places, for the current default setting of the number of selected files or to increase the value to match the number of selected records you want, for example to 30 decimal places.

Before making changes to the registry to create a system restore point so that they can be easily undone, or make a backup (Export) the key to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer registry.

Launch RegEdit and use the program help, because it is your best source of information on RegEdit.

  • "WARNING: no pixel selected" with the magic wand

    Details:

    Product: Adobe Photoshop CS5 64-bit

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

I'm working on the application of a coating that is textured to a field of hexagons, but not for their "Grout", i.e. the border thickness between each hexagonal "mosaic". I made a selection of the "Grout" and then reversed so that now my hexes were selected, make a new layer filled with black, and then using the magic wand tool, I deselected about 2/3 of the selections in Allen. Apply noise, motion blur, makes a fine metal grain. Invert the selection, remove the excess black, then reverse and save the selection. Define as overlay, super good. Then layer, load my selection of the Hexagon, 1/3 of the responsible for the selection of France that I've done before (so I do not apply two textures on any of a hexagon) and I get about 2/3 of the hexagons selected. New layer, fill it with black, just like the last time. Except that... when I use my magic wand to deselect, I get ' WARNING: No. Pixels were selected "and I lose the entire selection. Can I deselect using square or the quick selector, but not the magic wand. Now I well recorded and could recreate so no real work is lost, but it is easier deselect each Hexagon bit (there a LOT of them) with the magic wand of monstroustly. Why this suddenly is upward?

    Thank you for your time,

    Charles DiGiovanna

How is the box to sample all layers [] at the top of the main window of Photoshop?

If it is not checked, the wand will only use the data on the layer that is currently selected.

  • How to create a 2nd selection using the elliptical selection tool

I try to create the outer edges darker IRIS with the elliptical selection tool. I am trying to elect the iris and then create another selection of the iris 2nd with the elliptical selection tool. This does not work for some reason any. I work from the examples and exercises in the book "Portrait Professional retouching TECHNIQUES for photographers using Photoshop" by Scott Kelby. But for some reason, the tool does not work and I'm going through the procedure of Scott Kelby said to do. After I have selective elliptical selection tool, I do a circular selection around the Iris then after I adjust the size of the selection, I go to the "Sélection" menu and choose "MAKE SELECTION" then, command - click a selection handle to help it adapt to the Iris; Then I press on and hold down the SHIFT key and select the other Iris. This allows you to create another selection on the 2nd Iris. This is the part that is not work - the creation of the second selection on the 2nd Iris.  can someone help me with this problem?

  • "WARNING: no pixel selected.

Why do I receive the message ' WARNING: no pixel selected? Make sure that the layer I want is unlocked and highlighted. I select and "reverse" is dark, so I can select, but when I try I get the message ' WARNING: no pixel selected. I tried all kinds of searches and notes on the internet, but have not been able to find this problem. I want to reverse the image that I have which is black and white photo. I also want to apply a screen to make it look better. I find the halftone color selection, but I don't want a color halftone, I want a black and white. I tried using the ' black and white halftone, photoshop "and have not found how do. I learned a lot of things, but not what I need. I have several questions about RIP, but as seems to be something the printer did, not the app, I'll put that side until I find "inverse" and half-tones. Thanks to all who can help me. I don't know that miss me a step. (I did in the past, I just can't understand why I can't do it now.)

    Hello

If you just want to reverse the photo (layer), press Ctrl + I (cmd + i) or go in Edition > settings > invert
