"WARNING: no pixel selected.

Why do I receive the message ' WARNING: no pixel selected? Make sure that the layer I want is unlocked and highlighted. I select and "reverse" is dark, so I can select, but when I try I get the message ' WARNING: no pixel selected. I tried all kinds of searches and notes on the internet, but have not been able to find this problem. I want to reverse the image that I have which is black and white photo. I also want to apply a screen to make it look better. I find the halftone color selection, but I don't want a color halftone, I want a black and white. I tried using the ' black and white halftone, photoshop "and have not found how do. I learned a lot of things, but not what I need. I have several questions about RIP, but as seems to be something the printer did, not the app, I'll put that side until I find "inverse" and half-tones. Thanks to all who can help me. I don't know that miss me a step. (I did in the past, I just can't understand why I can't do it now.)

Hello

If you just want to reverse the photo (layer), press Ctrl + I (cmd + i) or go in Edition > settings > invert

(no selection necessary)

  • "WARNING: no pixel selected" with the magic wand

    Details:

    Product: Adobe Photoshop CS5 64-bit

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

I'm working on the application of a coating that is textured to a field of hexagons, but not for their "Grout", i.e. the border thickness between each hexagonal "mosaic". I made a selection of the "Grout" and then reversed so that now my hexes were selected, make a new layer filled with black, and then using the magic wand tool, I deselected about 2/3 of the selections in Allen. Apply noise, motion blur, makes a fine metal grain. Invert the selection, remove the excess black, then reverse and save the selection. Define as overlay, super good. Then layer, load my selection of the Hexagon, 1/3 of the responsible for the selection of France that I've done before (so I do not apply two textures on any of a hexagon) and I get about 2/3 of the hexagons selected. New layer, fill it with black, just like the last time. Except that... when I use my magic wand to deselect, I get ' WARNING: No. Pixels were selected "and I lose the entire selection. Can I deselect using square or the quick selector, but not the magic wand. Now I well recorded and could recreate so no real work is lost, but it is easier deselect each Hexagon bit (there a LOT of them) with the magic wand of monstroustly. Why this suddenly is upward?

    Thank you for your time,

    Charles DiGiovanna

How is the box to sample all layers [] at the top of the main window of Photoshop?

If it is not checked, the wand will only use the data on the layer that is currently selected.

  • The polygonal Lasso tool - no WARNING WARNING: no pixel is selected more than 50%. The edges of the selection will be not visible.

I tried for hours without success to snap a portion of a photo by using the tool "Polygonal Lasso" and I get the error "no WARNING WARNING: no pixels are selected to more than 50 percent." The edges of the selection will be not visible.  No matter where you are looking for a solution, it always seems to suggest that you change the "panache".  I did this.  Several times with zero success.  There must be another solution.  Can you help me please?  Thank you.

  • Elliptical selection tool - "no attention WARNING: no pixels are selected to more than 50 percent." The edges of the selection will be not visible.

I am convinced that it is a bug in Photoshop CC 2014. I am on Windows 7, 64-bit. The 2014.2.2 version, and the version is 2014.204.r.310 x 64. If I select a zone by using the Rectangle tool, the area is described as usual. However, if I use the elliptical selection tool and select the same area, I get the warning. Even if I fill the region using the paint bucket, I always get error if I try to select using the elliptical framing box. Is always successful with the rectangle. I've seen other users re issues. the lasso tool with the same behavior and warning. The usual answer has been put at the edge of the feather to 0. However, it is by default (on my system) to 0.0. Using the selector to improve the contour and by replacing the value 0 (or any other value) makes no difference and in fact after this and clicking OK, the warning screens.

Is this a bug with the elliptical selection tool? I've updated Photoshop just before submitting this question, and the behavior is unchanged.

    Hi irwin,

    There are different possibilities to solve this situation. Try one of the following options;

    • Decrease the radius of softening of the selection tools,
    • Increase the size of the selection
    • Increase the size of the image (this may decrease the quality of your image),.
    • Ignore the warning message and keep going to work on your file (remember that your selection is still there).
    • Also, make sure that you selected and the targeting of the correct layer.

You may prefer to set the feather to zero in on the selection tools and use the pen (Ctrl + Alt + D) command for each specific selection. Using the feather command does not change the parameter of smoothing (zero value) on selection tool, so you don't need to wory on previous selections feather RADIUS.

Let us know if that helps.

    Kind regards

You can have the pen in the Options bar set to a value that is too high. Reduire reduce to zero, and then try again.

  • Pixel selection - LCD Pixel limit

I'm working on LCD screens, where we need to create screens in Photoshop to produce a BMP. Hardware / software dictates that only 4 colors is used on each icon screen.

If I create a white icon on black background, the limit of pixel assemblies from black to white, creating more than 4 colors. I can run on the LCD screen, by changing each pixel manually, by removing this "shadow".

We will be producing over 50 screens each in a different language. Is there an easier way to change this limit to produce an edge last pixel?

How do you create icons? If you are using forms, you should be able to have "Snap to pixel grid vector tools" selected in the preferences. To lines and shapes not at 90 degrees, you must use the polygon lasso tool to create the form and have the off anti-alias box when selecting, then fill the selection. You can also use the magic wand tool to make a selection of an item and then fill in on a new layer. There an edge hard pixel.

  • Pixel selection issues, what I am doing wrong?

Often, when I try to select the pixels with the select either fast or magic wand, for some reason tool, the tool is picking up the strange habits of pixels in the image and simply delete the unwanted areas of the fair selection translated by picking up a different arrangement of pixels, so is unfortunately not a solution. Knowing me, it's probably something really obvious that I missed. I tried to reset the tools with no luck and I do not see why the file type (JPEG) must be the cause of all the problems... I'm quite a novice this ideas as a user of Photoshop! But here's a picture to give you an idea of what I mean:

    Hello

According to adobe the cause is not having of processor graphics use enabled in Edit > Preferences > Performance

(restart photoshop after checking the box processor graphics use)

  • Function 'Again cut layer' to the pixel selection.

Hey guys. This is a fairly minor feature, but it might be useful.

The device would be a single comand that could remove the pixels of a layer and paste it into a new layer.

CTL - X does technically, but since CTL - X clears the selection, the dough doesn't have a guide in the order paste the pixels in the same location.

CTRL-C, DEL, CTRL-V, has the effect of pixels in the cup of a layer into a new layer while preserving the selection, but it would be nice to have as a single command.

The obvious shoice would be CTRL-SHIFT-X, but it's the fluidity, and I love it.

So, I suggest ALT-SHIFT-X. I know that the combination of alt - shift keys ever used, but honestly, this isn't a feature really is seedbed

    Thanks for reading.

Already control-J (new layer by copying) and control Maj J (new layer by cutting) - which is exactly what you asked for. Redload the selection you can simply click on the new layer - for the most part, you wouldn't do that, because it is just in the way. You could if you wanted to.

Do you seriously think that photoshop version 11- wouldn't this shortcut now? They came back 4 or 5 at least

  • Selection of Pixel single column, then paste...

    Hello

This might look like a very unusual request, but I was upset to find the answer.

In a given photographic image, I would choose a single pixel in each row of pixels, running up and down in a columnof a pixel.  Then, I want to eliminate (Cup) nothing else on the Web with the exception of the one column of selected pixels. From there, I would take the pixel selected in each line and copy the pixel color on each line on the left and right of the pixel selected.

The end result is that I have a series of horizontal lines of pixels height of one color (based on the color of the selected pixel) through the image of left and right.

    Looking at this picture:

Select a single pixel on each line in a single column-

    xxxxxx XXXXXXS

    xxxxxx XXXXXXS

    xxxxxx XXXXXXS

Remove/cut everything except the selected pixels in only one column-

    ...... S......

    ...... S......

    ...... S......

Now, on each line, copy single pixel selected to the left and the right of the selection, to the extent of the canvas-

    Interesting challenge or Easy-Peasey?

    Thank you!

Easy. Use the brand single pixel tool to select a line of pixels. Cmd/Ctrl-J to copy pixels into a new layer. CTRL/cmd-click on the layer icon to select these pixels. CTRL/cmd-T to turn those pixels on the width of the image.
