  I hope someone can help.  I was just in a Bold 9790.  Restored my backup (to a curve 9630).  Everything seems to work except...  When a new message arrives, the new email icon on the top of the screen.  And a new indication of e-mail (round red dot on my e-mail folder) is as follows.  but when I opened that folder, the new e-mail does not appear here.  I can access and read the new email by the new icon of e-mail on the top of the screen, but once read, this icon would have gone.  If I need to access this e-mail again, I have to go into display cases to find that email.  I checked that all email settings are correct.  There must be a setting that is not fair.  Please someone help.

  I have my email on my bb and it worked fine for years.  However, I sent an email to many recipients Wednesday and now even if I notificiation messages are received, I can't view by clicking on the Email icon, but only see messages text instead.  More when I look at the notification, I see emails and read the topic, but when I click on a message I can see the topic I now see only half a message of the week and then have a checkerboard effect when I scroll down.

  I turned it off.  Removed the battery for five minutes and hey presto, it works!
