Enable Wireless N for T61?

Hi all

I just wanted to know if there is someone out there who were able to activate their N Wireless integrated model 7665-BL2.

My characteristics of the machine is as follows:

Product: ThinkPad T61 7665-BL2

Original description: Based on 7665 - 12G: T7300 (2 GHz), 2 GB RAM, 100 GB 7200 RPM HD, 14.1 in. LCD 1440 x 900, 128 MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140 M, CD-RW/DVD-RW, Intel 802.11agn (n-disabled), Bluetooth, Modem, 1 Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, chip secure, RPF, 4 c Li-ion, Custom WinVista Business 32

Tried an IBM/Lenovo technical support, they mentioned that the "N" has been disable production & it is designed that way and it is not activate. No idea at all why they are done this way, which seems stupid to put in something that we cannot use?

But when the adapter is not connected, it shows "Maximum speed" of 300 Mbps.  I have N-Router a Linksys, so I'm happy if I can get the speed of 100 Mbps instead of 54 Mbps current... any advice?

Sorry, not possible. You will need to change the map.
